Shadow Fire

Belbet didn't move. "Hide a leaf in the forest..." he mumbled. "Hide a corpse in a cemetery... A pig stinks, a fish stinks, and rotting cows and humans also stink... Make a hole in my guts, Darling."

Shadow's cheeks flared red. "You were..." he breathed. "Worried about me? Sheko-chan..."

Link looked rather proud. Then Bo told him he'd gone easy, to let Link learn the basics. The goddesses hate me...

"Evan..." Belbet mumbled, surprised by his words. "I'm... sorry..." For some reason unknown to him, he felt safe in Evan's big, strong arms.

Snappy suddenly emerged from his Monster Ball, having been listening the entire time. "This is maddening... It hurts to see Ethan so conflicted. If only there was a way to make him understand his feelings..."

Both boys now dressed, Len took Haru's hand, intertwining their fingers together. With a smile, he walked into the living area.

"NO!" Belbet cried out. "I messed up. It's my fault!" Clenching his hands into fists, the 'king' began sobbing into Evan's chest. "I'm a bad-luck charm..." he choked out, staring back up at Evan with desperate eyes. "I don't deserve to be alive. I should have gone with him."

Link glanced over at Diggs, his face slightly red. Sure, the two had just recently shared their bodies, but Link was still a little shy about showing other people just his chest. Then there's the marks that Diggs left on me...

Shadow had to restrain himself from laughing. Sheko was absolutely adorable. "Heh..." he chuckled. "It's wonderful, Sheko. Thank you." Like he did when Sheko was a Chao, Shadow pressed a soft kiss to the other's forehead.

Keeping his arms around the younger, Silver's gaze remained fixed. "Ethan..." he said softly. "Do you... I mean... *sigh* heheh... never mind." Do you love me too?

"I think..." the prince continued. "That destiny... it led us to each other..."

Shadow blinked as Sheko held out some fruit to him. Noticing the pineapple, he fought off a groan. He hadn't actually eaten any pineapple before. It's all Sonic's fault. How does my head look like a pineapple? Taking a breath, the hedgehog nodded, before eating the fruit from the fork. An array of tastes assaulted his tongue. "Mmmmh..." he murred softly. "Beautiful..."

Belbet stared up at Evan, his eyes still widened in pain. "It's my fault!" he choked out. "...I shouldn't have said those things to him... I shouldn't have done those things to him... I... why?! Damn it!" For the first time since he'd been imprisoned, Belbet shed tears. "It isn't fair..." he continued. "...Jake was killed because I didn't go with him. Guys nearly died because I scared him, and didn't follow..."

Link nodded, his affirmation that he would tell nobody. Why do I get the feeling I'm going to have to earn this secret?

Silver kissed back, a tiny bit more heat behind his actions. Pulling away, he stared deep into Ethan's eyes, and found himself lost in them.

Len grinned wider, before releasing Haru and reaching for a shirt. Slipping it on, he left it unbuttoned, deciding to let the cool breeze that was going through the house blow over his chest. "Haru..." the blond said suddenly. "Do... do you believe in destiny?"

Well, our maintenance took a little longer than expected, but we're back open at last. Now, to explain. We've completely redone the main website, and it looks much better than it did before. More content has been added, while some content (not much) has been removed. To celebrate our grand re-opening, we've gained a new member. Arcaith has been promoted, showing great loyalty and a passion for maintaining the peace. Congratulations, Arcaith! Now, the forums have had a few minor tweaks, though you most likely won't notice them. Many apologies for the lengthy amount of time it took to perform this maintenance, and I hope you enjoy the new look!

Blinking at Ethan's sudden question, the red-haired teen nodded. "You don't need to ask..." he said softly. "Just do it."

Belbet glanced over at Evan, looking a little shamed. "I scared him..." he said softly. "I didn't..." Trailing off, he looked out the barred windows, suddenly hearing a racket. He looked down, noticing Guys had made a run for the exit. "Guys!" he yelled down. "Don't be foolish! Plea--" A guard raised his gun and fired. Once. Twice. Thrice. Guys' body jerked with each hit, blood gushing out of his wounds. "GUYS!" The brunet stared up at Belbet, giving a sad smile. "I just..." he whimpered. "I just wanted to see my mother again." Guys slumped to the ground, barely alive. Belbet's eyes were wide filled with pain. What have I done?

Shadow watched as his former Chao picked all the fruits he wanted. Giving a smile, it suddenly faded as he felt a strange sensation in his chest. What is this?

The blond grinned, pulling his brunet lover to his feet. Grinning impishly at Haru's exposed body, he leaned closer. "Seeing you like this..." he purred into his love's ear. "It only makes me hungrier."

Link explained that they'd found the children, sans Ilia in Kakariko Village. "We'll find her..." the blond promised. "But... We need your help. I was told you had the secret to besting the Gorons..."

Len grinned, clambering back onto the bed, positioning himself over his lover. "Hmmm..." he purred. "It's a nice view from the top. Heheh." Leaning down, he gave Haru a quick kiss, before getting back up.

Giving his own smile in return, the red-haired trainer kept his hand on Ethan's. I only wish I'd been nicer to you from the start...
