Shadow Fire

Sonic and Manic stood there, speechless at the scene. Not sure of what to say or even do, Manic glanced back at his brother and mumbled. "Nice weather, huh?"

The taller hedgehog merely smiled. "No need to be embarrassed. I forced myself to speak, so I could comfort Tails one night when he was captured by Eggy."

The blue hedgehog sighed, turning back to fix himself some breakfast. This caused Manic to frown in concern. Leaving his half finished breakfast, he walked over to his brother and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Bro, what's wrong?" Sonic glanced over his shoulder at Manic, not saying any words. Not that he'd needed to. Just from seeing his eyes, the green hedgehog was able to see the emotion that was very clearly in them: Jealousy. "Ah... I see. Well, I can't say that I don't understand your predicament. I'm sorry that I... it must just seem like I..." Stopping what he was doing, Sonic spun around and stared at his younger brother. "Don't worry about it. I'll get over it. It's just..." Glancing over at Shadow, the green-eyed male sighed. "It's kinda difficult to let go, although... I'll do my best. After all... I have Light... and I wouldn't dream of letting him go." Giving a smile, Sonic returned to preparing his breakfast.

Blushing deeply as Light clung to him, Silver cast a glance sideways. "It feels so surreal, having you here at last. I'm glad... that you could make it."

Giving a nod, Sonic kissed his beloved, before heading into the kitchen. When he arrived, he noticed Manic sitting down, eating some breakfast, before smirking at his older brother. "So... have fun last night, huh?" Turning a bright shade of red, Sonic sputtered, before becoming defensive. "I did, yes... and I see you did too." The green hedgehog grinned.

Feeling sympathetic to the smaller hedgehog, the older Sonic rested a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry. The curse will fade soon. Actually, given the circumstances, it should have already faded. Try... saying something."

Cheeks going a bit pink, Silver grinned a little wider. "Hold on... this thing is pretty fast..." With that, he kicked the EX-Gear into drive and zoomed off towards his apartment.

Permission is not given for anyone to delete their posts, unless they are in the Staff group or above. It is a setting that I have kept since running my very first IPB install back in 2003, and I do not intend to change it.

Grinning wider, the golden-eyed hedgehog nodded, started up his EX-Gear, and jumped on, before reaching out to bring Light onto it. "This will be... fun."

With a grin, Sonic nodded, before leaning over and pressing a gentle kiss to his beloved, before clambering out of bed. "I'm gonna grab some breakfast. Would you like me to bring you something?"

The green-eyed hedgehog merely grinned. "Yeah, I know what you mean. The idea of teaming up with Eggy was strange, but we've had to do so on more than one occasion. Problem is, he just can't stay away from usurping power. He's not our problem anymore though." Sonic blinked as he watched his younger self listen intently to his tales. He couldn't help but find the younger hedgehog to be extremely cute, which made him raise an eyebrow at his own thoughts.

Glancing around the forest, the blond began heading in the direction the music came from. As he navigated through the forest, he came across someone familiar. Mido! The Kokiri stood, blocking any further access to the Forest of Bewilderment. His eyes met Link's and he raised an eyebrow. "What are you? You wear the clothes of a Kokiri, but I won't be deceived! I made a promise to Saria that NONE would go any further!"

Finally arriving at his destination, Sonic walked towards the fence and gazed at the view below. The city of Station Square glittered in the distance, lights beginning to flicker on as the dusk began to set in. Casting a smile over at his younger counterpart, he began to speak. "Station Square. I moved there a few years ago, and with the help of our friends... and even one of Eggman's own robots, managed to stop the egghead's attempts at conquering the city. Not even a year later, Eggman tried to up his game and conquer the world. That was where I met Shadow and Rouge. Shadow had wanted to destroy the world, thinking it was something he promised a long-lost friend, but his memory returned, and he realised that he'd promised to help everyone. So, when the world was under threat of destruction, everyone, including Eggman, teamed up to save it." His smile widening, he placed a hand on the smaller hedgehog's shoulder. "My life... our life... was full of adventure."

His heart all a flutter, Silver was the first to break the embrace, as he glanced at his EX-Gear. Giving a small grin, he raised an eyebrow suggestively, before using his psychokinetic power to bring the EX-Gear to his hand. "Well, are you ready for a ride?"

Sonic was already awake, gently caressing his beloved and glancing at him worriedly. "Good morning, Light. I hope... that I didn't overdo it..."

Smile growing, Silver returned the embrace, his gold eyes gazing intently into Light's sapphire ones. "I'm glad... that you like it."

Smile widening for a moment, the blond nodded, before his smile faded, turning away to return his attention to the forest. I need to remember where to go... but it's been seven years... The spirits must have been on his side, because suddenly, a familiar melody could be faintly heard. That song! It's the one Saria always played!

Keeping a hold of his younger self's hand, he began jogging, before breaking into a run. I can't wait to show you all the places you would have come to know and love.

Inside was a platinum coloured pendant, with what looked to be two gemstones embedded within. One was a sapphire, while the other was of gold. Giving a shy smile, he began running a hand through his quills. "Gold for my eyes and sapphire for yours... and I don't wanna hear anything about how much it must have cost me, or how you couldn't possibly accept it... I just... hope you like it. It's my gift... to you."

Murring softly, the green hedgehog fell asleep, holding Shadow close.

As he entered the Forest of Bewilderment, Link noticed a treasure box that seemed to have aged with time, and he opened it. Reaching inside, he found two smallblades. With a slight smile, he passed them over to Kaze, nodding. You should use these.

*takes a breath* lol, damn... Netsrac knows me too well. =P Seriously though, it is amazing. It suffers from traditional MMORPG faults, such as grinding and such, but that's a given. Wonderful story, beautiful scenery, amazing music, and unlike some other MMOs, you can access EVERY class/job with the one character. There's a heap of post-story content, with more being released with each patch. The most recent one (2.4) has introduced Rogue/Ninja, as well as much more. It's something you'd have to see to actually appreciate. If you do decide to get the game, be sure to join the Leviathan server, and keep a lookout for Hunter Reikaz. That's me. I do tend to help out a lot of people as well, so if you do need help while I'm there, I can usually assist. To help you decide, let me just throw this video out here: The choice is yours, but it's an MMO that I HIGHLY recommend. It was actually due to someone else that I joined in the first place, considering I had deemed MMORPGs to be bad.

Well, at the time I got my 3DS XL, they were retailing in Australia for about $350. I paid US$280 (~AU$262 at the time) total (postage included in the price) for a brand new 3DS XL. So, I suppose yeah... I did cheat.
