Shadow Fire

Kicking off his shoes, Sonic closed his eyes and soon was asleep, a single tear appearing and trickling down his face.

The platform returned, showing a Bigocto, which began to attack. Thinking quickly, Link threw the boomerang at the beast.

Sonic returned to his bedroom, before laying down on his large bed. Staring up at the ceiling, he gave a soft sigh. "It's strange... he reminds me so much of him... but they're different. Damn it! I miss him so much!"

Making his way through another 'door', Link suddenly gasped as he noticed something shiny from atop a small platform.

As the two others vanished into the distance, Sonic's happy expression faded slightly, before entering his house. A feeling of intense loneliness, something he was used to feeling every day, suddenly returned. "If only he didn't have to go home..."

If Link was aware of the tension between the two females, he made a good show of not displaying it. Instead, he focused on getting things done as quickly as possible. I think there's only one more rapey tentacle thing...

Nodding back, he began walking with the two to the front door. With a smile, he bade the two siblings farewell, even going so far as to give Shade a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Take care, both of you." Glancing directly at Light, the blue hedgehog pressed a gentle kiss to the other's lips, before pulling away to whisper into the other boy's ear. "Keep me with you... in your dreams."

Nodding, Link glanced at his boomerang, expecting it to be covered in gross slimy stuff, but it was dry. Must be magical...

It didn't take long for Link to bring it down, and he gave a triumphant smirk. Link: 1. Disgusting rapey tentacle: 0.

Feeling sheepish, Sonic gave his own smile and lightly ruffled Shade's hair. "I hope our little... um... display of affection... didn't upset you... You're always welcome to return." Pressing a kiss to the other boy's cheek, he murmured softly in his ear. "I wish you didn't have to go. But... I guess I'll... see you at school tomorrow?"

Sonic's smile could not have been wider, and he gave his new boyfriend another kiss, suddenly pulling away as he heard the sound of a throat being cleared. Slowly glancing to the side, he winced as he saw Shade. "Um... hi?"

Slowly standing up, the boy wiped himself off, trying not to throw up. When I get out of here, I'm having a very long bath... Narrowing his eyes at the tentacle, he aimed his boomerang and threw it, giving a smug grin as it suddenly withdrew in pain.

The kiss made his fur feel like it was buzzing, and before long, his lungs began to cry out for oxygen, the blue blur pulling away from the kiss to gasp softly. "Light... I know it's fast... but will you... be my... boyfriend?"

Running forward, the boy suddenly yelped as the tentacle moved away, before swinging back at him, slamming into him. GROSSGROSSGROSSGROSSGROSSGROSS! Landing on the floor, he almost wretched.

His smile widened, the blue hedgehog draping his arms around the white/blue hedgehog, bringing him in for another kiss.

---FAST FORWARDING AGAIN, TO THE PARASITIC TENTACLES--- With his new boomerang, Link had run into the next part of the whale's innards, suddenly stopping only to groan in disgust. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?!

Pulling back from the kiss, Sonic's cheeks were glowing, though he had a sheepish look on his face. "Sorry... I... I couldn't help myself... I..." Emerald met sapphire, and a small smile came to his face. "I really like you, Light..."

Holding his breath, Link walked through, waiting for Kaze to follow. This is going to be horrible...

"Light..." The blue male practically whispered the other's name, having moved closer. A hand finding its way to the other boy's shoulder, Sonic leaned forward and pressed his lips gently to Light's. I don't know what the hell I'm doing, but... I can't stop now.

Sonic found himself gently taking Light's hand in his, the blue hedgehog slowly glancing at the other, their eyes meeting. My heart... it's racing...

Link walked towards what looked like a door in the back of the 'room'. What the heck? Doors? This one looks weird. Reaching towards it, he pressed his hand against it, gagging as it felt squishy, made a disgusting sound, and opened up. This is not my day...

It took Link everything he had to not expel his lunch within the whale's mouth. The smells, the feeling of being in this damp, squishy place was unbearable. Let's just find this princess...

Opening the door, Sonic revealed his bedroom. A desk stood near the window, with a computer sitting by it. On one of his bedside tables was a CD player, a mess of CDs stacked nearby. His king-sized bed was haphazardly made, and the hedgehog blushed in embarrassment. "I hope you don't mind the mess. I, uh... usually don't have any company. One of the joys of living alone..." A sad smile came to his face.

Nothing seemed to be happening, so Link decided to camp out in front of the deity. When he pulled out a bottled fish and prepared to cook it however, Lord Jabu-Jabu reacted instantly, opening its great jaws wide and practically inhaling the fish inside. However, the boy and girl were caught in the drag, and pulled inside. Nononononono!

The blue blur began showing the other male through his cottage, shyly explaining each room. "...and this one's where my brother used to sleep. My sister's old room is right there." A nostalgic smile came to his face as he recalled his siblings. "Sonia... she moved away to pursue her music career. Last I heard, she was doing very well. As for Manic... Manic is Manic. Heheh... he's probably causing trouble somewhere. I miss them both, but we all have different lives." Finally, he stopped in front of the door to his own room.
