Shadow Fire

Letting out a breath, Sonic seemed a little more relaxed, before flashing his grin. "Awesome! So, where does your sis go to school?"

The boy nodded, waiting for the... link... to open. I need to know what to do next...

EXCUSES! You're just begging to face the moose!

"Um..." The blue hedgehog began to run a hand through his spines, seeming a little nervous. "After we get Shade... would you... uh... would you like to... maybe... come over to my house?"

Suddenly feeling homesick, Saria's words echoed in his head. "If you want to hear my voice, just play my song." With a soft sigh, he brought out the Fairy Ocarina and played Saria's Song. Saria...

Sonic sped up a little, so that he was right beside Light, before smiling at his words. "I have a brother and a sister, but both of them live elsewhere. We get in touch from time to time."

With a smile, Link began to look around at the lake's surroundings. OFF TOPIC: While totally not noticing the letter in the bottle. >.>

Slowly, the blue hedgehog stood, following after Light. "So... tell me about your sister."

Making it to shore, the blond continued to stare at her. She seems happy to be back here...

Sonic's face burned red, and he placed a hand on his cheek, giving a smile. "W-would you like some company?"

Casting a glance over at Kaze, he raised an eyebrow. She lives here?

Sonic jolted, like he'd been zapped by an electrical wire, not expecting Light's action. Turning to face him, his eyes were, for the first time in a while, unsure. "Y-yeah? What is it, Light?"

Noticing an opening under the water, Link dove deeper, passing through it. Suddenly, he began to feel somewhat lighter. What's happening? The feeling faded, and the boy was now in a completely different location. A sparkling lake, to be precise.

Damn... hope you get better soon, mate. *offers huggles*

Sonic felt awkward for the rest of the school day. It didn't help that his next class was once again shared with Light. The both of them were in art class and although he felt he should keep his distance, he didn't want to seem unfair, so he sat beside the other male. He doesn't seem to have any other friends, so I can't do that to him. Oh, man... I royally screwed up. This is way past uncool.

Turning to face Kaze, the blond smiled, before jumping off the waterfall, landing gracefully in the water. There's something down there...

When finally arriving back to the Diving Instructor, Link was presented with his prize, and gave a wide grin, holding it above his head. This is awesome!

Smiling a little wider, Sonic leaned in and gently pressed his lips to Light's cheek, before pulling away quickly. "Erm... sorry about that... kinda got a little carried away there..." The blue hedgehog released his grip on the white male's shoulder, before turning away quickly and heading out to dry off. The hell were you thinking, Sonic? Just because you like Shadow, doesn't mean... ngh... you fool. You've probably screwed up another friendship...

Grinning, the Zora handed Kaze her prize, the Silver Scale. He then turned to watch Link, who was diving under the water to grab at the rupees. While nowhere near as experienced as Kaze, he still seemed to be making good time, for a non-Zora. With 24 seconds remaining, Link had managed to grab the final rupee, and upon reaching the surface, he pumped his fist in victory. "All right!" the Zora called down. "Come and get your prize! You've earned it!"

The blue hedgehog smiled at his friend and placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's okay, man... if anyone gives you crap, which I doubt they will, I'll zip on over to defend you. You're a cool guy, Light."

"All right!" the Zora cheered. "You got 'em all! I have your prize up here... come and get it!" Watching as the girl proceeded to head back up, the Zora turned to Link and smiled. "Okay..." he said, throwing five more rupees into the water. "Now, it's your turn. Start diving!" Taking a breath, Link leaped into the water below.

Instantly realising he could turn this around, Sonic grinned, blush fading. "Actually, I was trying to put my finger on something. He seems quite familiar to me. If anything, how could you know I was looking, unless... you were checking me out?" The dog spluttered in embarrassment, his friends chuckling at his expense. With a scoff, he turned back to his friends, though his face was a little red. Sonic glanced over at Light. "Hey... no need to worry. This sort of banter happens all the time. You'll grow used to it, I promise."

Sonic's lips curled into a slight smile as he continued to watch the white hedgehog, until a voice called out suddenly. "Hey, Sonic!" the dog called out, causing Sonic to snap his gaze away. "Checking out the new guy, huh?" Instantly, his cheeks became beet-red, the blue hedgie totally embarrassed. "Uh..."

Link watched as Kaze gracefully dove into the water below, collecting the rupees with seemingly no problem at all. Wow, she's a good swimmer!
