Taking a little inspiration from BEN, why not make it so that selecting the Triforce unpauses the game and Link dies instantly? When continuing, Link goes on as normal, but suddenly, he dies again. Continuing takes you back, but the moment you use a single item (including sword, shield, etc), Link dies again, and this time, you're taken back to the title screen. Upon going to the file select, your save file is erased.

The hedgehog nodded, hugging his knees to his chest. "I suppose that would be logical. After all, a world of dreams would be eternal." Eyes locking onto Nights' own, the blue blur opened his mouth to continue speaking, but suddenly yelped as a roaring clap of thunder sounded.

---= The Basics =--- - Name of Character: :: Zenobia Nebiros Reikaz - Character Species: :: Akumaryuu (Demonic Dragon) :: Human (Disguised) - Age: :: 727 - Character Colour: :: Teal/Cyan/Green - Akumaryuu Form :: Tan/Black/Red - Human Disguise - Height: :: 6'4" - Weight/Build: :: Muscular - Alignment: :: Dark ---= Appearance & Personality =--- - Appearance: :: Zenobia is a demonic dragon that exists in one of many alternate realities. The markings that adorn his arms and torso symbolise his importance, as the Elder Akumaryuu. His crimson coloured eyes are said to pierce into even the most hardened warrior's soul. He has powerful wings, and adorns only a dark pair of trousers and a dark, hooded cape. However, he does not often reveal this form. Instead, he disguises himself as a handsome, young human male, approximately 20 years of age. Donning similar dark trousers and hooded cape, this form is tanned, wears military-style gloves and boots, has tattoos over his arms and torso, and is adorned with silver facial piercings. His hair is deep red, with sinister eyes to match. - Personality: :: For the most part, he is very polite and seemingly pleasant. He speaks in a somewhat regal manner, befitting his important role in his dimension. Even when dealing with his foes, he will often keep a calm, collected expression, including whenever he eliminates them. However, there are rare occasions where he will become exceptionally vicious and at times, borderline psychotic. Aside from these, he often exerts a great curiosity for the unknown. - Past: :: The many realities had, at a time, been one. Many different species coexisted peacefully under the guidance of the Overseers, and the world was a beautiful place. However, one fateful day, the Overseers split the world into several multiverses, sealing each apex species in their own version of the same world. Many Akumaryuu lost their lives in this event, reducing their numbers to a mere fifth of what they once were. As time passed, the Akumaryuu adapted to their new, darker home. Many of them learned mysterious magical abilities, gaining the power to control elements. These became the first Elders, who would eventually sire a young successor, whom was named Zenobia. The new heir spent his younger days learning how to control magic, while training his body and mind. Ten years later, Aedus, his brother, was born. Zenobia instantly doted on his younger sibling, vowing to keep him safe, and to teach him everything he knew. As the years passed, Dojan (their father) finally reached the apex of his life and ascended, his life force returning to the world, leaving Zenobia as the new Elder. Aedus' loyalty to his older brother saw him becoming a protector of sorts to the Elder. In spite of his power, Zenobia always treated his younger brother as an equal, the two sharing a deep bond of brotherhood, one which would never be broken. Throughout his life so far, he has learned of the Isolation Conflict of countless millennia past, and has decided to find a way to cross into the other worlds. - Likes: :: Aedus, tranquility, flying, exploring. - Dislikes: :: The Overseers, discord, disloyalty. ---= Abilities =--- - Abilities: :: As an Akumaryuu, Zenobia is graced with the power of flight, and control of powerful magic, even when disguised as a human, another of his abilities. - Source of Abilities: :: Inheritance and education. - Goals: :: To reunite the multiverse, and rule over all as Supreme Elder. - Strengths: :: Zenobia is extremely agile, has great physical strength and powerful magic. His Akumaryuu eyes are said to hold a mysterious power of their own, but it is unknown as to what they can be. - Weaknesses: :: While seemingly unstoppable to many, there are a few weaknesses Zenobia has, though only one of them is actually exploitable. His loyalty to his brother is paramount, and when Aedus is in harm's way, he will immediately abandon his current plan in an attempt to keep him safe, even though Aedus often remarks that he can take care of himself. ---= Roleplay Example =--- - Example: :: "I beseech you once again, cease your hostilities, or I will be forced to punish you." Ruby eyes staring at his foe, a hand was lifted, gloved fingers gracefully brushing aside his hair. A defiant snort was his answer, forcing him to give a soft sigh. "It is regretful that you resist. I had hoped to avoid any unnecessary bloodshed. Incidentally, you leave me with no other option." Holding a hand out before him, the red-haired man cast a powerful Fire spell, watching as his foe was engulfed in flames. He closed his eyes as he heard his enemy's agonised screams. Taking a breath he opened his eyes as the screaming began to subside, his enemy finally slumping to the ground, unmoving; finally, only ashes remained. "This is where your game ends. I hope you find comfort in the arms of oblivion." With those words, darkness began to swirl around him and moments later, he vanished.

I discussed this with Arcaith, who is all for continuing the podcasts. The only issue now is seeing if Secant is still available to do so, and if he will be around when Arcaith and I are both available.

Chapter 12: Darkness, Heart of Evil The figure continued to walk towards Link, smirking devilishly. The hero, while still sitting, backed up further. "What's the matter, farkas? You look like you've seen a ghost." Shakily standing to his feet, the blond shook his head once more, unable to believe what he was seeing with his own deep blue eyes. "N-no way..." he stammered. "I-it's just not possible. You're supposed to be...!" "Dead? Heh... poor little farkas... you just don't know anything, do you? You may have defeated me once, but did you honestly expect to have seen the last of me? Poor, naive kicsi farkas..." Link froze as a darkened sword he knew all too well was pointed at him, tip of its blade pressing against his throat. He gulped, staring at his doppelgänger, terrified blue eyes unable to look away from eerie red. "Well, let me explain, farkas. I was born from the darkness that imbued every creature that lived, including people. Wherever there was darkness, I would grow more powerful. However, I did not have form, until one day..." The sword didn't move, nor did Link, the boy choosing to listen to the shadowy figure. "Yes... that one day, when he appeared. He'd learned about my existence... my sealing by the ancient ones, and came to me with an offer that was too good to turn down. He gave me form, and told me that all I needed to do was to kill you. A wicked smile came to the doppelgänger's face as he recalled the events. His sword remaining pointed at the other boy's neck, he continued. "I remember accepting, hungry for a chance to be freed from my prison. The form I was given intrigued me. I felt a surge of dark power, as well as the ability to recognise when my prey was near. Then, you showed up and I learned where I had received my power boost. It was from you. Link's eyes widened a little more, and he shook his head ever so slightly, a move which made the blade of Dark Link's sword gently cut into his skin, a thin line of blood starting to trail down his neck. "Deny all you want, farkas. It was your darkness that made me stronger. But it wasn't enough, and you defeated me. I can still remember the first blow you landed. It felt something like this." The blade was withdrawn, but with lightning fast speed, it had sliced down Link's torso. The blond screamed in pain, dropping to his knees. But Dark Link merely moved closer and placed a hand on his shoulder, a dark aura pulsing from him. "No, farkas... you aren't allowed to die just yet. I want you to feel what I felt... the pain of each slice. But before that, I want what I have craved since you defeated me. Stand up and take arms!" Breathing heavily, Link did as he was told, standing to his feet. Glancing at himself, he saw that his torso had a massive gash, but it had appeared that his doppelgänger had used magic to prevent a fatal bleed-out. As he drew his sword, he suddenly realised that something, or rather someone, was missing. "Navi?" Suddenly hearing a snicker from his other, Link shot a glance over at him. The shadowy figure gave an amused grin, his red eyes gleaming. "Don't you worry, my kicsi farkas... I didn't harm your precious fairy. On the contrary, she is perfectly fine. I just prevented her from interfering. She's in a dark place, one that she won't be freed from until either I will it, or I am defeated." Narrowing his eyes, Link tried to hide the fear of facing the dark form that resembled him. The shadowed figure merely laughed at this display. "Yes... I remember, farkas... You gave me the same glare in the Temple of Water, just before you dealt the final blow. There is however, one major difference." "Oh?" Link countered, defiantly. "...and what's that?" Amused, the red-eyed form gave another dark laugh and readied his shadowy sword and shield. "Quite simple... This time, it will be you that falls." Clenching his teeth, Link gripped his sword and shield tightly, rushing at the being of darkness. Blades clashed together as the two fought, Link's eyes narrowed in desperate determination, while his doppelgänger's were full of amusement. Each attack that the blond gave was either parried or dodged, and eventually, the shadow form made a move that made Link freeze. "Well, there is something quite familiar about this, wouldn't you say, kicsi farkas?" Standing on the hero's blade, the dark figure smirked down at him, his sword swinging down, making a slight cut at the other male's shoulder, before jumping back, landing on the ground once again to continue the fight. "Damn it!" Link hissed in pain, though trying to ignore it. "You'll pay for that! I defeated you before, I'll do it again!" "Really? I would love to see you try..." The shadowed figure moved forward once again, blade moving swiftly, landing another blow, once more slicing across the boy's chest. Letting out a cry of agony, Link dropped to his knees, blood spilling from his wounds. His head began to feel a bit light. This isn't good at all. He's... stronger, somehow. I can't keep up with him. Footsteps approached, making the blond grip his sword and shield tighter. Dark Link tutted as he moved closer, giving a sinister chuckle. "What's the matter, farkas? Are you accepting defeat so easily? I surely hope you aren't. That would just be too boring." Breathing heavily, something which hurt to do, given his injuries, Link stood, glaring maliciously at his copy. "N-no..." he growled. "I won't... give up... not to you..." The dark figure seemed to smile at this, although the very act made Link shiver. "Come on, then. Entertain me, farkas." Taking a few more breaths, the blond lunged forward, swinging his sword with the strength that remained. Dark Link jumped away from it, landing a small cut to the other boy's abdomen. Wincing, the hero jumped back and prepared a spin attack. As he unleashed it, he moved towards his enemy. I'm almost out of energy... The shadow form's smirk widened, and just as Link was about to hit him, he shot his hand out, grabbing a hold of the boy's blade. Sapphire eyes went wide as his sword was stopped, locking on to deep ruby, as the dark form snickered. "You put up a valiant fight... my kicsi farkas." A loud scream of pain echoed throughout the room, the Shadow Sword piercing through the blond's chest. Eyes locked on each other, although there seemed to no longer be any amusement within Dark Link's. As he removed his blade from the blond's chest, watching as the boy dropped to the ground in front of him, he gave a soft sigh, frowning down at him. "I had hoped for something a little more entertaining. You have disappointed me, farkas. I'm afraid that the time has come... for your eternal slumber." Standing over the shallowly breathing Link, he lifted his sword high, and glanced down at him. "Viszlát, kicsi farkas." Instead of bringing his sword down, the dark form stopped, noticing a moisture in the boy's eyes. Watching as the blond took a sharp breath, he froze as he heard the boy's choked words. "G...Gano...ndo...rf... has... won..." he wheezed. "S...orr...y... ever...yo...ne..." Red eyes glanced down at him, the shadow figure standing in place. "So, he really is back. She was telling the truth..." Dark Link's eyes suddenly glanced over at Impa's unmoving form, his dark hands tightening around his Shadow Sword. A low growl was given as he suddenly turned his attention back to Link, kneeling down before him. He produced a charm, which he had appropriated from the spirit in the previous room. Looking down at Link's fading blue eyes, he placed the charm into his hands, before placing his own hand over the top of it. "She told me that he returned... that he had conquered once again. I did not believe her. She told me you would be coming here, to regain the power of the Sage of Darkness. I told her that I would not allow it. She gave no resistance as I took her life." Link's breathing began to slow, his eyes flickering to a close. The shadow figure closed his own eyes and concentrated. "No, farkas... it is decided. You will not die here. Instead, you will now take the power of darkness that I hold, and take revenge on that man. Vengeance that I can only take through you." The shadow form gave a wide grin as he began to shimmer, the charm beginning to sparkle in unison. As he faded, a soft chuckle echoed through the room. "Do not falter, my kicsi farkas. Grant me my vengeance." As he disappeared, Link's eyes shot open, and he jumped to his feet, staggering as he stood. Giving his form a lookover, he noticed that the cuts inflicted on him had healed, though his clothes were a little worse for wear. Looking up, he glanced around, eyes suddenly looking down at Impa's lifeless body. The boy gasped as it began to fade, and as she vanished, he suddenly noticed a faint glow a few metres away. "N-Navi?" he choked out. "Is that...?" The glow moved, and sure enough, it approached quickly, Navi now hovering before him, looking confused. "Link?" she murmured. "What happened? The last thing I remember was entering the chamber, and then, darkness." Shaking his head, Link closed his eyes and took a breath. "I don't know, Navi..." he replied. "I could have sworn that... I was fighting him again. I was defeated... but... I'm somehow... alive." Navi glanced over at the blond, not making a sound as the magical blue light surrounded them, transporting them out of the temple. As he rematerialised at the cemetery, Link's eyes shot open as a voice echoed in his mind. "You will know soon enough, my farkas." End of Chapter 12.

Chapter 11: Temple of Darkness It was pitch-black inside the Temple of Darkness. The only source of light was generated from Navi's bright aura. Theorising that the temple's layout was different, Link made careful movements. His cold chill returned, and it made him shiver, but this time, it was different to the chill he had experienced in the graveyard. This one seemed malevolent. Dangerous. Like the air itself wants to kill me... Stopping all of a sudden, Link waited for his eyes to adjust, but after getting a feeling like something was about to attack, he jumped back... just in time to see a Wallmaster land. Sword met demonic flesh with lightning-fast agility, and it didn't take long for the beast to succumb to the onslaught it received, vanishing in a puff of smoke. "Wow..." Navi muttered. "That was way too close, Link." The Hylian sheathed his sword and nodded, continuing through the chamber, Navi providing the light he needed to see. Still shivering, he breathed a sigh as he finally found a door. Opening it, he gave a slight smile of relief as he noticed light on the other side, but as he stepped through and closed the door, the light began to dim, until it was pitch black. What the hell is this? Theorising something crazy, Link reached back and opened the door behind him. He let out a gasp at what he noticed. The light is shining in there, but... the room is gone! Another shiver was given, and he closed the door, giving a soft gulp as he thought of what this could mean. Suddenly... "You didn't think it would be that easy, did you?" A voice seemed to echo throughout the temple, making the Hylian instantly draw his sword and glance around in search of the source of the voice. "Sorry to disappoint you, but there's no way you'll find me. Now, I suggest you listen to me. That is, unless you wish to face a nasty fate." His teeth grinding together, he cast a glance over at Navi, the fairy staring back in worry. With a sigh, the boy nodded and sheathed his sword. "Fine!" he called out. "Tell me what you need to tell me! I have no time for these games!" The disembodied voice seemed to give a dark chuckle of amusement, enticing a low growl from Link. "Games? Did someone say 'games'? Heheh... yes, that is essentially what this is. For interest's sake... a deadly game. Now, listen carefully..." The blond remained silent, the disembodied voice giving another laugh. "My, my... you are quite obedient; to a fault, I might add. But let's not worry about that now. As you go proceed through this temple, I will be guiding you. Sometimes directly, sometimes indirectly. But, you must also decide each time if I am guiding you to salvation, or to your doom. You must ask yourself in each chamber if I am to be trusted that time around. In this game, you will be required to have faith in your instincts. Now, I suggest you hurry. This chamber will fade in... oh, wow... 4 seconds." Link let out another growl and jumped forward, almost falling into a trapdoor. He managed to move around it in time, and reached the door, opening it and stepping through; just in time, as well. The chamber faded, just as he had closed the door behind him. The light that was illuminating this chamber began to dim, but instead of going out, it remained, providing a very low illumination. "Heh... congratulations are in order. I am pleased that you managed to survive. Now, to make things entertaining. There are various enemies within this chamber. You will also note the openings in the floor. Should you fall, you shall be the newest member of this family of the dead. But, you must also take note of the locked door." Across the chamber, at the far end, Link noticed that the door at the end was indeed locked. What do you expect me to do? The voice chuckled again, continuing its explanation. "Yes, this is of particular interest. There are only two ways through this chamber. The first is to defeat every enemy, but you must do so in a short amount of time. The second is easier, but much more dangerous. If you summon the Tears of Angels, these creatures will be extinguished, but at a cost. This already dim light will also be extinguished, and you must make your way through this chamber without falling to your doom. What will it be?" Glancing around, Link took note of the amount of enemies within the chamber. I know that I won't be able to defeat them all in time. I have no choice. Taking a breath, Link brought out the Ocarina of Time, playing the Song of Storms. The next chamber dimmed until it became pitch-black, Navi's faint glow the only source of light. Soft moaning could be heard in the room, making Link shudder. I was hoping to never have to deal with those again... Link took baby steps, making sure to be silent, lest he be detected by the undead creatures. That was when the voice returned. "I'd move a bit faster if I were you. But, be mindful of the undead. Be even more wary of the exits. One leads to salvation, the other leads to oblivion. Which one will you select? The left door looks quite good to me... Heheheh..." Casting a glance to Navi, he nodded. "Navi..." he said softly, shielding his eyes. "Do it..." Taking a breath, Navi began to glow a bit brighter, until... "Yousei Hikari!" A blinding light shone throughout the chamber, the ReDead and Gibdo that made their home within letting out ear-piercing shrieks as they froze. A burst of light shot up into the ceiling of the chamber, Link finally able to unshield his eyes. He gave a soft gasp at what he saw. Just as I thought! This light is just like the sun! The undead can't handle such light. I'd better hurry. The room illuminated, Link noticed a treasure chest that lay slightly hidden to the side of the room. Lunging, he forced it open and grabbed out its contents; another scroll, but instead of reading it, he made a beeline for the left door. "Link!" Navi called out. "Wait! Can we really trust him? He could be trying to trick us." Placing his hand on the door, the boy shook his head. "I don't think so, Navi..." he replied. "This is a game to him. He wants us to doubt ourselves. Our first instinct is to not place any trust in him, but if we were to die now, there would be no more entertainment. I'm going in..." Navi let out a sigh and nodded. Suddenly, the light started to fade, forcing Link to open the door and step through, and just in time. The chamber also began to fade, and as the door closed, vanished completely. I'm glad it worked out, because I was starting to think I was going insane. Casting a glance around the room, the boy noticed it was well illuminated. The door at the end of the chamber was also unlocked. In the middle of the room, there was something that appeared to be a shrine. Slowly walking towards it, the blond kept his guard up. There was no prompt from the mysterious voice yet, and that made him nervous. What am I getting myself into? The boy took a few more steps forward, and suddenly gasped as a ghost appeared before him. Link could feel the sadness emanating from the spirit as it stared at him. "What I am, you need not guess..." the ghost spoke softly. "An ancient spirit. No more, no less. Darkness - bringing much despair, sending its evil throughout the air. Alas, I can not do my part, due to the acts of a darkened heart. Move along, and as you go, please be wary of your foe." The ghost placed a filmy hand over its chest as it faded away. Link lowered his gaze and gave a sigh. "Well..." he murmured. "This would be the part where I'd receive a charm, but if what that spirit said is true..." Navi flew in front of Link and nodded. "I think we have the same theory..." she answered, glancing back over her shoulder to where the ghost previously was. "This darkened heart... maybe it has the charm? Hmmm, in either case, maybe you should take this time to check out the scroll you found in the last chamber?" Nodding, Link opened the scroll and read the words aloud. "If light is what you truly seek, find all my friends and then, to you, we'll speak." Shaking his head at yet another cryptic clue, Link pocketed his newest acquisition, and headed for the door. Preparing to open it up, he tensed as the mysterious voice suddenly called out. "Are you sure you wish to do that? I must warn you - if you proceed beyond this door, you may see things you're not ready for-- Gah! Those spirits... their incessant rhyming is somewhat hypnotic. Never mind that. I've decided to end this game. Through that door, you will find the answers, but it may be a bit too much for you." The voice gave a dark chuckle, one that made Link clench his fists. It was a voice that sounded so familiar to him. The voice continued to speak, amused. "Still, it will entertain me to see your reaction. Come on in. I dare you. Enter, and let us see how you fare..." Another dark laugh later, and the voice faded into silence. Teeth clenched, Link stepped forward and opened the door. Within the next chamber, he glanced around, sword drawn. Suddenly, he noticed a silhouette before him. Looking at it, he let his eyes adjust, before gasping at what he saw. "No..." he choked out. "It can't... it can't be! I-Impa?" Sprawled on the floor was Impa's unmoving body. Blood trailed from her lips and down her chin, forming a small pool beside her head. Kneeling down beside the Sheikah, the blond reached forward, gently feeling the woman's neck for a pulse, but all he could feel was her cold, still flesh. Choking out a gasp, his gaze swivelled to the right as he heard footsteps emerging from the darkness. "Who's there?" he growled. "Show yourself!" A soft snicker was given, and as the figure approached, Link's eyes widened. He stumbled back a small distance, falling to the ground. Shaking his head in disbelief and terror, he felt icy cold as those familiar red eyes stared back at him. "I'm glad you finally made it, my kicsi farkas..." End of Chapter 11.

Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD Remaster has been announced
Shadow Fire replied to Netsrac's topic in General Gaming
Just wanted to let you guys know that the International versions are indeed what are being remade, so those of you in the US who missed out on the Dark Aeons, Penance, the Expert Sphere Grid, and a higher challenge, will have your thirsts quenched. The same goes for X-2 HD, as it is FFX-2 International + Last Mission, so there will be English audio for that as well. On top of that, there is a Limited Edition, which includes rare concept art from both games, as well as a personal message from the producers. I can't wait for the release. -
Haddaway - What is Love?

Something you missed, man. Epona was a donkey in the alpha, and it featured Ganon as the protagonist. Zelda was a princess with a curse, and Ganon loved to call her Fiona.
