Doing some research on the URA Zelda Restoration Project...
Shadow Fire replied to CM30's topic in General Gaming
Pretty much this, here. The last time Zeth went all moody and stuff was on either 64hackz, or N64Projects, upon which he, and I quote, DELETED FUCKING EVERYTHING. I could not risk it again, and demoted him to a basic member. But in light of speaking to my administration team, we all agreed, upon further investigation, that he had broken the rules of this community so many times, even ones that he, himself helped to write. Due to my relationship with him, and yes... I will publicly admit that he and I have been in relationships, I overlooked many of his transgressions and blindly came to his aid. With this in mind, it was unanimously agreed that he posed too much of a threat to the community, one he admittedly didn't really care too much about, and was discharged immediately. Anyway, if you want more information, don't hesitate to PM me with questions, and I shall answer them to the best of my ability. -
All of this...

Cheeks warming a little more, Sonic nibbled on his chocolate, never taking his glance off the nightmaren. Why can't I stop staring at him?

I agree with this entirely. -
Finishing his soup soon afterwards, Sonic began to unwrap a block of chocolate. Cheeks warming a little, he snapped it in half and held it out to the jester. Would you... like to try some chocolate?
-
The blue hedgehog also licked his lips, but for a completely different reason, and for the life of him, he couldn't figure out why they seemed to itch. What's going on with me?
-
Keeping his glance on the nightmaren, Sonic watched his every action, his every reaction, hoping he liked the food that he prepared. Sure, it may have come from a can, but at least he didn't overcook it.
-
Heheh, most of those games take too long to finish in a full playthrough. Also, the games I choose for challenges are those which I have fond memories of playing in my younger days.

You have a keen observation. I was wondering if someone would pick that up. Yes, you would think that Link would have returned to Sheik, but given what he's gone through, I think there's enough reason for him to forget. As for the ToW, Ganondorf has it. Hence his increase in power, and the ability to destroy the original power of the Sages that was given to Link in the damaged timeline.Plus, with Navi not reminding Link of what to do next, she has suffered greatly as well. Not just with losing their friends, but also knowing that Link is on the verge of total insanity. She has to safeguard his mental well-being as well. That said, I'm glad you enjoy the story so far. There's another twenty chapters to come.

Carefully picking up one of the two spoons he brought back from the kitchen, Sonic scooped up some of the soup and brought it to his mouth. Blowing on it slightly to cool it down, he slipped the spoon into his mouth and gave a sigh as the broth sent great tastes across his tongue. Withdrawing the spoon, he cast a hidden glance over at the nightmaren. He's much more... handsome... from this proximity...

We have a participant! Yay!

I really hope a lot of people participate in this. The game is fun, doesn't require you to rely on memory, and all in all, pretty easy.

I'm heartbroken. I thought we had something.

Gamemaster: Shadow Fire REMAINING TIME You are all hereby challenged to play Columns for the SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis. Considered by many to be a Tetris knock-off, Columns went down a slightly different path. Instead of trying to make entire lines, you are attempting to match three or more gems of the same colour in a row. The blocks come down in a column of three at a time, and you must decide where to place them, and how. This game puts your patience and endurance to the test, as there is no true end to the game, until you lose, which happens once you hit the top of the screen (yeah, like Tetris). CONTENTS The download pack will contain the following: [*]Columns [*]A copy of the rules and some info [*]A text file, titled after the game game, for you to record your time and score, as well as the date of completion, and any comments you may have for the game You may need an emulator that can run SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis games. You can find two good ones in the download system. RULES There will be a few rules in place to allow for a fair go: [*]You must last as long as you can in one full run. You only have ONE chance, so don't mess up. [*]The clock must be initiated upon pressing START, stopping once you receive a GAME OVER. [*]No save states are to be used. [*]You must play ARCADE Mode, although you can choose your handicap. Bonus points will be given to those who compete in HARD. [*]For those of you with the ability to do so, you may record footage of your play. Either use a capture card, PC recording software, or even Livestream Procaster (provided you have a livestream.com account). However, inability to do so will not necessarily penalise you. [*]As each game is totally randomised, and is a test of luck, skill and endurance, you are permitted to view videos of gameplay, as well as viewing the original instruction manuals, which can be found online. [*]Sound must be enabled, and playing clearly for you. For the best experience, the music and sounds are necessary. [*]External controllers are permitted, to make things easier (or harder, depending on your setup). In addition, this game was ported to multiple consoles. If you own it on any of them (Wii Virtual Console, PS2, PSP, PS3 and Xbox 360), or even own it on the original console (SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis), you may play it on that system. Otherwise, you can download the necessary files on this site. [*]Do not post your records here. Instead, send me a PM with the provided text files, subject name being Columns Challenge. The community challenge will have a deadline: 10:00PM on May 29, 2013 (Australian Eastern Standard Time). You can use an online timezone converter to find out when exactly that is in your timezone, or simply look at the provided countdown timer above. PRIZE The person with the longest overall time, and highest overall score will be awarded with a prize, an item under $20 from the official GCN Spreadshirt Shop, as well as being awarded with the Achievement for winning the challenge. CONTENDERS [*]Mellow Manbuilt [*]xdaniel [*]cdogwashere [*]Secant [*]Colonel Medo [*]giadrosich [*]Gump DOWNLOAD To download the pack and get started, click here. Download, and enjoy! Good luck!

How's this?
-
It didn't take long for the soup to be cooked, the blue hedgehog serving it into two small bowls, before bringing them, along with the chocolate, back into the bedroom. "Nights? Give these a try. The bowl has chicken soup, perfect for helping warm you up, and for curing what ails ya, and this is chocolate... food of the gods." Sitting on the bed next to the nightmaren, Sonic helped sit him up. "I know this will be strange, but you need to build your strength back."
-
As Sonic entered the kitchen, he raided the pantry, Eyes falling onto a few bars of chocolate and a tin of soup, he grabbed them and searched around for a way to heat up the soup. It didn't take long for him to find a saucepan and a small oil stove. He gave a slight grin as he discovered there was still plenty of oil. "That's a stroke of good luck, then. Pity there's no bread to go with this soup." A low rumble overhead made him shiver, but he continued, picking up a box of matches that lay on the shelf above the oil stove. Striking a match, he lit the stove, and waited for it to heat up, before opening the soup cans and dumping the contents into the saucepan. I wonder if he'll like it. This will be the first food he's tried in the real world.
-
Sonic stopped in his tracks, frowning. "That may be so, but even though you live in a world of dreams, you're in true reality, and the sad fact of life is that all living creatures require a source of food, otherwise..." The blue blur trailed off.
-
OFF TOPIC: Yaaaaaaay! The hedgehog gave a somewhat uneasy smile, but shook his head. "I kinda do... I'm kinda hungry... and you need to eat something too."

New Features Added! It is with delight that I inform you of the new features I have installed on The GCN. Wanna know what they are? Well, if you've been around for the past couple of hours prior to this post, you will have already noticed, but for those of you who are curious, they are as follows: Chat Remember that nifty chat applet we once had? Well, it's back, exactly the same as before, only this time, it is guaranteed to work. Be sure to make use of it. :3 Arcade I always thought it would be good to have an arcade of sorts here, considering this is a website related to gaming, so I thought, "WYNAUT?". Despite my advisory, a few members took it upon themselves to try it out while I was checking for bugs, and were a bit upset when I reset the scores, but needless to say, this will make for an interesting feature, and new games will possibly be added in the future. For now though, we've got a decent library of retro games, like Pacman and Space Invaders. Awards Certain tasks gain you trophies/achievements in the form of medals with this system. Currently, it is only set up for those who win Community Challenges, but eventually it will be for various community milestones. These, along with a few minor adjustments are features that I hope the community will embrace. With that, let the mayhem begin. =P

Okay, children... play nice. Otherwise, I'll have to start handing out punishments.
