  1. I'm actually using Scroll of Time to go through some of it, and make fixes. I will then reupload, after making a few fixes.
  2. *looks* Hmmm... ... ... ... ... Y'know, you're quite cute. >.> Not intending to creep you out or anything, just a compliment.
  3. Sonic Retro is one, as well as the Sonic Stuff Research Group, the latter which I co-administrate.
  4. A few screenshot updates, including that of a new zone, entitled Starlit Shrine. Moonlit Meadow: Dash through this beautiful meadow nestled beside a sparkling lake. The stars twinkle in the sky, the moon reflecting in the water. The first of many zones. Ancient Amazon: An ancient ruin, much of which has been submerged in crystal clear waters. Many traps continue to function, making this zone very dangerous. The second zone. Sunken Subway: An underground rail system, which has long since flooded from centuries of rainfall. The third zone. Starlit Shrine: A beautiful shrine which once was believed to be the place of worship for an ancient civilization. This is the fifth zone, and a mass edit of a restored level. Air Assault: Way up high, in the sky. It is up here that Eggman's flying fortress can be found. However, many enemies and incomplete platforms make this a very dangerous level. This is the tenth zone. More screenshots at a later date.
  5. I understand, yeah, I just didn't realize that this was a problem until release, or else I would have fixed it. No need to worry. The version I uploaded (although with some text bugs) has the CRC fix.
  6. Closure RequestThe topic author has requested this topic's closure. Topic closed. If you feel this is in error, please consult a member of staff.
  7. Heh... it seems that when you got the msg_bank file back from me, you decided to modify the text, but didn't tag my name right. It should read: and <c=cyan>Shadow Fire<c=white> for[...] Instead, it's in the file as <c=cyan>Shadow Firec=white> for[...] A simple fix for that. I encountered a freeze when I tried to access the start menu to equip my shield, but it may be an emulator issue. Oh, and just a nitpick... Gamer's Collective Network. You left out the 's
  8. While using Nemu64, the ROM plays sound, but loads no video, and I receive the message Error: too many commands executed. Stopping dlist processing at the bottom of the emulator. I can get video to run by using the outdated PJ64 plugin, but this causes the textures to look funky. EDIT: Seems to work fine in Mupen.
  9. I found you, Kusai... by looking into the future. Although, I dunno why you travelled to the past. >.>
  10. Actually, that was me. Sorry about that. >.>
  11. I am pretty much finished with the default version. Some adjustments needed to be made, and I'm waiting on giadrosich to confirm something for me, but apart from that, it's done.
  12. I'm about halfway through proof-reading the text. I haven't "translated" anything yet. Just getting the basic stuff fixed up. Trust me on this, from what I've read, it has quite a few hilarious comments.
  13. I'm actually going through the text and fixing up any grammar and punctuation errors I find, as well as making some slight modifications to what is said. I will also be going through again and "translating" it to European English, i.e. "armour" "defence" "organise" in contrast to the US "armor" "defense" "organize". Why? I'm just picky.
  14. If anything, I really enjoyed the 8-bit Sonic 2's difficulty. It was leagues more challenging than its 16-bit brother.
  15. As great as those games are, Sonic 1 & 2 MD are overplayed, and overshadow the SMS versions. The point of these challenges is not only to have fun and compete, but to do so while playing games I grew up with. Also, Jungle Zone is quite the bitch... and it just gets harder from there, but to have not completed Underground Zone? Wow... that zone was easy compared to Green Hills (not to be confused with Green Hill).
  16. Regular run. As someone who knows the games like the back of my hand, I will be able to tell if times are not legitimate.I will amend the rules to include that once I get home.
  17. It is. You need to play Sonic 1 and Sonic 2... the Master System versions.
  18. Gamemaster: Shadow Fire REMAINING TIME You are all hereby challenged to play the Sega Master System versions of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It is hard to find many people who haven't played these games, and it is even rarer to find people who don't know of Sonic the Hedgehog. The Sonic games were originally released on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, and were remade for the Master System, but had a total overhaul. Sporting 8-bit graphics as opposed to their 16-bit counterparts, these games pitted you, as Sonic, against Doctor Eggman (Robotnik in the US/EU region) in an attempt to save the land and your friends. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 brought Miles "Tails" Prower to the 8-bit world, and had you trying to save him after his kidnapping. CONTENTS The download pack will contain the following: [*]Sonic the Hedgehog [*]Sonic the Hedgehog 2 [*]A copy of the rules and some info [*]2 text files, titled after their respective game, for you to record your time and score, as well as the date of completion, and any comments you may have for each game You will need an emulator that can run SEGA Master System games. You can find two good ones in the download system. RULES There will be a few rules in place to allow for a fair go: [*]You must complete both games. Each game must be completed in a full, single run, for a total of 2 runs. Upon completion of each run, you must record the time it took you to complete that run, as well as your final score, and the amount of Chaos Emeralds you collected. [*]The clock must be initiated upon pressing START, stopping only once the game's credits finish. [*]No save states are to be used. [*]You must make each playthrough a legitimate run. No glitches are to be used. I will know if glitches are used. [*]Extra lives can be found all throughout the zones, as well as when you collect 100 rings. You are permitted to collect as many lives as possible (without the aid of a cheat system), and should you run out of lives, you may use a Continue, provided you have any. If you don't, and you receive a GAME OVER, you must start from the beginning, but the clock must still be counting. [*]No game guides are permitted to be used, aside from the original instruction manuals which can be found online. [*]Sound must be enabled, and playing clearly for you. For the best experience, the music and sounds are necessary. [*]External controllers are permitted, to make things easier (or harder, depending on your setup). [*]Do not post your records here. Instead, send me a PM with the provided text files, subject name being Sonic SMS Challenge. The community challenge will have a deadline: 10:00PM on May 15, 2013 (Australian Eastern Standard Time). You can use an online timezone converter to find out when exactly that is in your timezone, or simply look at the provided countdown timer above. PRIZE The person with the fastest overall time, and highest overall score will be awarded with a prize, an item under $20 from the official GCN Spreadshirt Shop, as well as being awarded with the Achievement for winning the challenge. CONTENDERS No contenders at this time... DOWNLOAD To download the pack and get started, click here. Download, and enjoy! Good luck!

  21. I was a newcomer to the game, and I found it completely informative. I realised that as this enemy had the same moveset as myself, I'd have to think outside the box. It got me killed a couple times, but I managed to win eventually. Those two words are quite a clever way of saying "lol d00d, he haz teh saem m0vez as yu0", or "I don't know what his weakness is". I am 100% certain that many arguments regarding Navi's speech are either pertaining to her constant pestering, or of her "uninformative" description for Dark Link. See what I did there?
  22. Actually, I found Navi to be mostly useful. The conquer yourself explanation for Dark Link worked perfectly. You are quite essentially conquering your own self... your own (albeit shadowed) reflection. Although I will admit, not knowing Ganon's weakness, when his tail was all big, bulbous and multi-coloured was kinda stupid. Granted, I haven't played Skyward Sword, and am limited to what I've seen people play of it (aside from having played the demo at EB Expo 2011), I've found Fi to be much more annoying than Navi.
  23. I am definitely part of Team Navi. While "Hey! Listen! Look! Watch out!" got old fast, I still think that she had good character. Primarily a guide, she evolves to become Link's friend.Plus, her departure was directly responsible for Link's adventures in Termina, resulting in one of the best Zelda games ever, which Nintendo seriously need to remake for the 3DS.
  24. Some more... Digimon Tamers Sonic X Jigoku Shoujo Last Exile Final Fantasy: Unlimited (kinda bland, but the music was awesome) Eureka Seven Dragonball Z Kai (I actually like the English version better. Odd, I know) Yu-Gi-Oh! - Toei Version (much better than VOICE, lol)
