Shadow Fire

"You... your name is Nights... isn't it?" The hedgehog seemed to be remembering little pieces.

Kaepora Gaebora was indeed offering them a ride, instructing them to take hold of a talon each, before heading into the sky. Link almost closed his eyes instinctively, but decided to look at the view. Wow... it's beautiful...

The newcomer noticed the others and blinked. "I Quale..." he said. "You come to my house." He turned and waddled away, Quina following behind him. Zidane turned to face the others and shrugged. "Well..." he chuckled. "Guess we'd better follow along."

Noticing a Howling Stone (we've established he knows what they are and blah), Umbra sat at it and howled the music carved in the inscription. To his surprise, a Skull Kid appeared and began to taunt him, summoning strange puppets with his flute, before disappearing deeper into the forest. "Damn... this is beginning to annoy me..."

The day seemed to go by in a blur, the two boys having a lot of fun in each others' company. As time passed, Ryuichi headed over to Shuichi with two ice-cream cones, one in each of his hands. "Shu..." he said, face going a little red at the nickname he gave the other. "Here... some ice-cream."

Sonic gave a slight smile at the jester's antics. "I'm Sonic... Sonic the Hedgehog. I've been dreaming about you since I was young."

"Yaaay!" the Qu cheered, taking the frog. "Mine, mine!" Suddenly, another Qu came into view, frowning at the one already there. "You pathetic, Quina..." he said. "Can't even feed yourself." The one called Quina gave a pout.

Looking up at the sky, Link grimaced. Sure, he'd get to the field, but it would be quite dark by the time they'd make it to Zora's Domain. Suddenly, he glanced to the side, hearing the beating of wings. Kaepora Gaebora was landing on the sign, and looked over at the two children. Is he... offering us a ride?

Ryuichi gave a face that was like a kitten, before grabbing a hold of Shuichi's hand and running through the amusement park.

"Yes, yes!" the creature exclaimed gleefully. "Yes, yes!" He stood there looking at Vivi all excitedly.

"Hey! Take it easy! You're in no condition to be rushing yourself." The former hedgehog gently made the other male lay down again. "I know... you live in a world of dreams... I have also seen you... when I was in Casinopolis. I was in a pinball game, and I saw you... dancing."

Link nodded, and then checked a map he purchased in Castle Town. Zora's Domain... it's a little bit of a distance...

Sonic blinked, before moving his arms away. "We're in Station Square..."

The hedgehog opened his eyes, listening as the storm still raged outside. "Good... you're awake. Are you feeling better?"

The boy nodded, before glancing at himself. Strangely, he felt stronger. I feel like I've been infused with... magic.

"Shh... you're still weak. Just rest... I'll keep you warm." Sonic's green eyes closed and he brought the other closer to him.

The blond let his eyes close as he felt a magical aura surround him. It feels... like happiness...

Sonic blinked, before giving a small smile. Something seems familiar about this... but I can't remember what...

Link nodded, following Kaze to a small cavern. Inside, he gasped at the shrine he saw. Noticing a Triforce symbol on the ground, he ran up to it, and played the song Impa taught him, Zelda's Lullaby.

Sonic brought the jester into a bedroom, laying him under the covers. But noticing the shivers, he instinctively clambered into the bed beside him, placing his arms around the other. Let my warmth assist you. But... how... how are you here? You're in my dreams...

With a grin, Link nodded, and started up the mountain. ~At the top~ The boy winced as he held his side. He'd been singed by two magma rocks. I don't feel so good... I hope she's nearby...

Sonic gave a grunt as he hit the ground. Groaning, he lifted himself off the ground and stared back at what tripped him. What he saw made him gasp. It's... him... Noticing the jester in obvious trouble, unconscious and out in the storm, the hedgehog gritted his teeth and lifted the other male into his arms. "Jeez, you're freezing! I'd better get you out of the rain... but where to?" Suddenly, he noticed a house that was open. Grimacing at what he was about to do, the hero raced over to it, and went inside. He had to get this guy warmed up.

Link merely smiled and glanced at his shield. He was thankful he'd changed it for a stronger one, considering the guard in Kakariko had told him Death Mountain was an active volcano. Well... better get going. The Great Fairy is waiting...

In My DreamsOnce upon a time, Kaze and I RPed a Sonic based pairing, which coupled Sonic the Hedgehog with NiGHTS, from the NiGHTS into Dreams game. Essentially, I'm bringing it back. The gist is that Sonic has been having strange dreams that tell of a mysterious land, where an equally as mysterious young man seems to call home. However, one day, dreams become reality, and for Sonic, he's going to find love in the most unexpected of ways. Yep, it's yaoi. Wheee! The rain came down, lightning flashing in the sky, followed by a loud roar of thunder. The streets were empty, everyone remaining indoors. However, for a young blue hedgehog, he was like a cat caught in the rain. Zooming down the secluded streets, he soon found himself in an abandoned part of the city, too damaged by recent events to be repaired. "Damn... this rain's getting too much..." Slowing to a halt, he glanced around, getting his bearings. Water dripped down his soaked fur, and with a groan, he began running again, dashing around the corner... only to be brought down to the ground as he tripped.

The blond glanced up at Navi, giving a slight glare, but he let it go. He was still embarrassed. Suddenly, he heard footsteps coming up the mountain. A slight smile came to his lips. It's that girl... Kaze.
