Shadow Fire

"Calm down..." he snorted. "We're wasting time. Hopefully that thing hasn't eaten the kid..." With those words, Zidane took the princess' hand and raced off, ignoring Steiner's shouts as he followed.

"C'mon Rusty!" Zidane's voice sounded, as he walked into the room. "We're going to save the kid..."

Zidane made a face, but reluctantly nodded. "We need Rusty's help..." he grumbled. "I hate to admit it, but he really is good to have around in a fight..."

Zidane nodded, bowing to the princess before racing up to Baku. ----- Some time later, Zidane came back into Garnet's room with a sly smirk on his face. "We're heading into the forest..." he chuckled. "I managed to... convince Baku..."

Link gave a gasp as he saw the events of times long past play in his mind. As it ended, he dropped to his knees, finding Lanayru had vanished. "What... the hell?"

Link, back in human form, stared at the Light spirit, which had shown itself. It seemed to take the form of a giant shining serpent. "My name is Lanayru... Your efforts have at last restored each of us light spirits in Hyrule. O heroes chosen by the gods... The dark power that you seek... It waits in a temple set in the bed of Lake Hylia. ...But before seeking it, you must now bear witness to something...and never forget it. You must know that it was the will of the goddesses that we lock away the forbidden power..."

Zidane gave a grin. "Of course..." he said, chuckling softly. "I don't intend to let someone pretty like you out of my sight."

"I plan to..." the thief said. "But my boss is being a bit uptight... He doesn't want me to, but I'm gonna head out for him anyway. I owe him that much."

Zidane walked closer, giving a warm smile. "It's okay..." he said. "Anything for the princess..." His smile suddenly faded. "Sorry..." he mumbled. "Because of me, you were nearly killed... and that kid... I hope he's okay."

Giving a snort, Zidane walked down to where Princess Garnet was resting, quietly opening the door. "Princess?"

"Damn it..." Zidane muttered, before staring at Blank. "The boss won't let me go rescue that kid. It's my fault he got into this mess in the first place." Slamming his fist into a wall, Zidane gave a slight smile. "He's such a timid little guy..." he chuckled. "But he has some good power within. In many ways, he's stronger than all of us. Meh, forget this... I'm gonna go rescue him, whether Baku says or not."

His love was doing well, managing to cause some massive damage to the insect. Suddenly, it was on its back in the water, and Link saw its aura. "Diggs! Destroy it now! Use the energy field!"

From what I heard in the demo version, his voice is completely different. They all have different voices from the original.

They would have had to supply a new line for Peppy, when he says how to barrel roll. "To barrel roll, press Z or R twice." There is no Z button on the 3DS.

"Damn it!" Zidane hissed, jumping forward to plunge his blades deep into the monster, watching as it died. "I'd better get these two back. I'll look for the kid afterwards." Lifting the princess over his shoulder, he turned to Steiner, lifting him up.

"Damn, indeed. I'm still a little weak from the fall. You'll need to fight it... Until I get healed fully from the spring." Link nuzzled his beloved tenderly.

Zidane moved closer to the princess, closely inspecting her. "Hey..." he said softly. "Are you alright?"

I remember this video... from like... a few years ago. Heheh. No matter how long ago it was, it still makes me chuckle.

Zidane, still glowing, rushed for the Cage Plant, dealing critical damage. "You..." he hissed. "...bastard..." Steiner threw him another glare, but merely clenched his sword tighter, silently agreeing with the thief.

The blond clenched his hands into fists, cursing to himself. "Damn it..." he muttered. "I was too slow..." Zidane suddenly hissed as it came back, grabbing Garnet next. "Oh for fu-" He cut himself off as he received a stern glare from Steiner. Shaking his head, he attacked the plant.

Some time later, Link and Diggs had retrieved 14 of the 15 bugs, and Link was confused. "Huh? But the map only showed 14... unless... wait... back at Lake Hylia."

Link sauntered into the spring, listening once again to the fractured spirit explain its dire situation. Once again, Diggs was given the Vessel of Light. "I have a feeling this one will be the most difficult of all."

Zidane watched as Steiner attacked, putting a lot of power into his swings, and not seeming to tire. Suddenly, the Cage Plant raised its tendrils again, with the intent to sap more of Vivi's health. "No!" he snarled, lunging for the plant. "Not this time, you leech!" Zidane's daggers shone in the moonlight, before he brought them into the plant and jabbed deeply.

Zidane growled and lunged forward, slashing at the creature. It shrieked in pain, Zidane's attack power having doubled due to, as Steiner called it, Trance. "Hey!" he yelled out. "You have to attack it with your magic!"
