The echidna smiled. "Sure..." he said. "You take an emerald and I'll keep one. I'll check out Echidnopolis."

Knuckles shook his head slowly. "I'm afraid I don't know..." he said solemnly. "It happened over 3000 years ago, back when these ruins were still in pristine shape."

The echidna blushed deeply, giving a slight nod. "Yeah..." he murmured. "I noticed. I felt it. They're... misaligned... It's happened once before..."

In Australia, most OOT carts were gold. It still is one of the most sought after games, still going for around $60 used, without the box and manual. With those, it can jump to $100. A very good condition one could cost up to about $250. There are some who would pay about $500 for a copy. :/

Don't beat yourself up, Manic... We have each other now... even if it's fleeting... Knuckles let his lips part, feeling himself backed against a rock that had suddenly appeared behind him.

At first, the echidna was at a loss to understand what was happening, but the moment he felt the younger male's lips on his, his heart skipped several beats. Manic... Knuckles wasted no time in kissing back, letting his own arms drape around the hedgehog.

His amethyst eyes locking onto the younger hedgehog's crystal blue, breath catching in his throat, the echidna leaned forward, pressing a gentle kiss to Manic's cheek.

Knuckles hissed in a slight pain, even though his cheeks were getting a deeper pink. His heart began to flip-flop. "Manic..."

Shadow and Fire. Two elements I put together to form my name. It has absolutely nothing to do with Shadow the Hedgehog, even though I first used it on a Sonic based forum. =P ...there is another reason...

Knuckles gave a soft sigh, his cheeks going pink when he felt Manic take his injured hand. "What could I have said?" he mumbled. "You, Sonic and Tails were always together. Sonic teases me enough as it is, but to find out that I love you. I think he'd be a bit protective... considering my strong ki. That's another reason. I wouldn't want to hurt you. I've never... felt anything like this before."

"I'm in love with you..." he continued. "Have been for a while." The echidna cast a glance over at the younger green hedgehog.

Knuckles glanced at his namesakes, noticing the blood that began to seep. With a sigh, he looked up at the sky. "So..." he muttered. "They finally admitted it to each other. I'm sorry, Manic... It was going to happen sooner or later. It sounds harsh, but you'll have to get used to it. I had to get used to the fact that you would never want me..."

*whistles in a not-so-innocent manner* *walks away*

"Just what?" Knuckles spat back, his tone hurt. "What?" The echidna slammed his fists into a nearby tree, sending bark splintering all over. "Manic..." he muttered. "You have no idea just how much this hurts. To think I'm not good enough for you to be honest with... To have these one-sided feelings for you..."

Knuckles frowned, baring his fangs. He took Manic by the arm, his eyes narrowing. "Bullshit!" he hissed angrily. "I thought you trusted me... why do you lie to me?" The crimson guardian released the green hedgehog's arm, before turning away, his fists clenched tightly. "Why?" he asked, his voice suddenly softer and shakier. "Why lie to me?"

Knuckles dropped to his knees, gritting his teeth together. "No..." he snarled, getting to his feet. "You did NOT just... Manic?" The echidna noticed Manic's messy green fur, but it was the hedgehog's sobs that caught his attention. "What..." he murmured, taking a step closer. "What's wrong?"

Back in the ruins, Knuckles the Echidna was staring at another Chaos Emerald, frowning in confusion. This is strange... Suddenly he felt someone bump into him.

Giving a muffled squeak as he was kissed, the blue hedgehog gently moved Tails back. Staring at him with a hopeful look in his eyes, he gave a slight smile, murmuring the kitsune's name before bringing their lips back together.

It was a good thing he was sitting down, otherwise Sonic would have fallen over in shock. "W-what?" he choked out, gaping like a fish. "But I thought... I mean... you and Manic... you're always together and doing mechanical stuff together... I thought he..." The blue hedgehog was interrupted by a pair of warm lips pressing to his own. OFF TOPIC: Because I can... I totally can. Hahahaha.

Eventually, the two had made it to a large chamber, with a giant, armoured Goron standing on the opposite side. That guy is huge!

"What is it?" he asked, shuffling against the tree. "You can tell me."

Putting the Chaos Emerald away, the blue blur gave a slight grin. "What's up, Tails?" he asked. "I thought you and Manic would be tinkering with stuff again." Sonic somehow had a slight bitterness in his voice when mentioning that Tails and Manic may be busy, though he didn't notice it.

"Unova?" the professor parroted. "That's quite a distance. Well, you can get there by the Fast Ship, SS Serenity, which leaves at Olivine City, at 7pm. It's a 32 hour trip though." The brunet adjusted his glasses, before continuing. "One more thing..." he added. "You need a pass to get aboard. I'll give you mine. Oh, and you can only take one Pokemon with you. Unova is home to Pokemon which are vastly different to our own."
