First of all, awesome! How did you get them to spawn, I tried messing with the spawner at one time, but never worked for me. Who the heck is your internet provider? I get 250GB per month to use, and I regularly use over 100GB. O.o

Just wanted to let folks know that Kazegava offered to translate the hack into French for me--this probably won't be available May 1st, but eventually I will put up a link to the French version when I get hold of it. As for latest news, yes, we are a week away from launch (gah!), and I'm very excited to release this to the public. Even though there are a few hiccups here and there, there is nothing gamebreaking that the testers have found (and in fact, I'm trying to put in anti-sequence breaking things here and there), so hopefully there won't be any major issues for folks! There are some graphical problems that still haven't been figured out, but we have figured out a work-around for them that will be included in the readme file if it never gets solved. This might be one thing in the future that I might be able to fix, but probably not by launch. I'd like to have only one release for this thing, so multiple files won't be floating around. I will be going to Georgia next week to visit my Grandma, but she does have internet, so I should be able to upload no problem from there. The night before, I will be setting up a support/issues/hints forum that people may use, and after the hack releases, I will be keeping an eye on the forum in case there are major things that pop up that me and my four testers missed. I'd also like to officially challenge folks to speedrun this hack when it releases, as I'd love to see a different speedrun of this game than the same stuff we always see with OOT. And a proper speedrun too, no bottle adventure stuff . With the different routes, it should be interesting to see how people go about this.

Teleporting to outside of the area of Hyrule Field fixes the problem. Like, teleporting to the graveyard fixes the graphical glitches. It's weird things like that.

I'm all for a ZAP3 to combine both. Can you and Jason look into the issue I had with his actor adding program? I had an issue where everything was turned into placeholder stuff if I used ZAP2 after using his program. Not sure if that's Zap or his program. It only happens occasionally, though, so no big deal really.

Well, extra cash would be nice, perhaps I can list some stuff on Etsy if people would be interested.

That makes no sense...why would that be the cause of it, when it happens in the middle of the game? If it were the cause, wouldn't it be a constant thing?
-
The only thing that's patched onto it that has ASM is something Sakura put together--Megaton Hammer hurts young Link when he swings it. No gameshark codes. Apart from changing the medallion check, there isn't anything else that effects the game a lot.

I've done everything I know what to do, I even went into ZAP2, removed ALL the weather, and this is still what the game looks like: Why are there still clouds in the sky, even after removing all the weather? The graphical problems also seem to vary, sometimes I get weird blue fog, sometimes I get weird see-through graphics with missing landscape. I don't get it. *sigh* I don't know what else to try, is anyone willing to take a look at the rom itself?

I've never really thought about it...it's hard to put a price on cross-stitching because of the amount of time that goes into it. The Pokeballs piece was done in about a month, and the phoenix I've been working off and on for awhile. The Geisha lady I've been working on for total time...possibly 5-6 months. So, price-wise it is very hard, because a lot of the price would come from the time. If it's smaller pieces like a bookmark or a single figure, then that would be much easier, and usually what people could afford. I would sell the Geisha lady for at least around 60-80 bucks, due to the time and materials put into it. Bookmarks you can sell at probably 1-2 dollars each, with a discount for bulk ordering probably. I dunno, it really depends on what people want. XD

You've got the grey NFR MM?! I've got the Gold store copy with the sticker on the back.

Hey, it can happen, I found an original Game and Watch for 50 cents at a nursing home garage sale.

Thanks, my mom taught me when I was little, but I didn't do it heavily until I was an adult. It's a nice relaxing hobby.

And now for Firefly drawings:

I don't like Halo, but the shirt was a gift. -
These are cool, I might have to incorporate some sword slash colour change.

I'm a type of person who reads whole sentences at a time--that's how I've always been. I don't read one word at a time in a game. The first time playing through the game, yes, I was spoiled on puzzles, because I actually wanted to READ what was going on. And I can't stop myself reading a text dialogue because I read really, really fast. Then I guess I just have to play the game on mute because that incessant beeping NEVER goes away when your health is low. If you can tune that out, more power to you. Yeah, you might not press the button, but the game sure wants you to. Same with the stupid dowsing. If you don't dowse, then the game continually beeps at you to get it done. I realize that Fi herself is not a bad character, but she suffers from very bad thinking that says she should hold our hand through a Zelda game. The game was designed for newcomers, which isn't a bad thing, but makes Zelda veterans annoyed with the constant hand-holding. It would be different if the beeping was only there the first three times, but by the time you hit Hero Mode, you shouldn't get that. That's just inexcusable, seriously.

I didn't ignore the explanation, that was the ending cutscene. Everyone knows about the ending cutscene. Did you read my response at all? And apologies about the "Navi did not bug you way more than Fi", that was a typo. I meant me, but was thinking about you in your post. You can't help but have Fi spoil puzzles, she freakin' POPS UP before giving you the chance to. As for the programmed, I think she was programmed that way, why else would she use very precise percentages? It's the best way to get a robot personality across, by using percentages (C-3P0 in Star Wars comes to mind). I acknowledge that Fi has more of a personality than Navi (to me), but that doesn't mean she has a good personality, or much of one. Whether or not you tune them out doesn't mean that they aren't there. It's insulting to a player to have a sidekick come in and say "hey, you're health is low, might be a good idea to get some". She even does it in HERO MODE for crying out loud, when there aren't any hearts available, and she even SAYS this. "oh, sorry, you're on hero mode, so you won't get any hearts. But your health is still low." Yes, that's the same as Navi, but navi's voice clips aren't as active as the beeping.

It's been a while since I've played Skyward Sword, we were being very polite in asking you to tell the particular cutscenes besides the last cutscene when she showed emotion towards Link or anyone. Yes, Fi has a personality...it just happens to be a very robotic personality. That's how she's programmed, sorry. Being amused towards an NPC isn't really enough evidence that she was changing to me. If something or someone is unusual, it's going to be unusual to a robot too. No, Navi did not bug you way more than Fi. Navi doesn't beep when batteries or low, or when your health is low. Fi beeps when your health is low even though your hearts are already beeping, and Link is panting. I call Fi robotic because she spoils puzzles, tells me things I already know, and also tells you things you JUST did. (slingshot area) The only way to have Navi consistantly say Hey over and over is if you get near an area she says it. A good example of this is in the Deku tree when you drop onto the web, but don't break it through. She's programmed to say Hey at that spot, but since the web doesn't break, the sound clip goes crazy.

Well, Navi did give that misinformation that one time on the Shaboms. In one version I think it says that they bounce off your blade, and they...don't. At all. But that's not Navi's fault. I don't think Navi was nearly as intrusive as Fi. And thinking about the game, I think the last cutscene also sticks out as the first time Fi's character really visibly changes...if you guys could post about where you saw a change, that would be cool. I might be forgetting something. My husband also remembers only the last cutscene.

When I first did research on other hacks, that's ALL I found on youtube. It was amazing. This is why I vowed to never do that in my hack.

*cough* oops

Is this going to be permanent textures or a texture pack we'll need?

From what I've seen of my husband playing Tomb Raider, that game has a nice balance of hard puzzles and challenging enemies, but doesn't go overboard. Tomb Raider 2013 shows what happens when you put too much combat and too little puzzles. For Zelda, I'd rather have more puzzles than enemies in every room.

I think the problem with Fi is that she's too computerized. Like...during the game she's all about the facts and stuff like that, I mean, she even takes you on a huge-ass detour in the sand place to find a clue that after you fight a scorpion, she then tells you "oh yeah, this place is useless, sorry". >_> THANKS, Fi. I dunno, Fi had more personality than Navi I think, but the only reason she did was because she forced her way into the game whenever she could. The dowsing ability was stupid--thank you, I can find my own way, her "hints" are just puzzle spoilers--seriously, they are, and while the last scene is sad (the music was gorgeous and helped a lot with the sadness), she's just way too much of a computer for me to really be attached to her, especially all the shit she gave me during the game. And yes, I'm always going to harp on the puzzle spoilers. That's just unacceptable in a Zelda game.
