This was given to me by petrie911 on youtube to help out with my mod, and I thought others might want to use it in their mods. Block Push Delay The ROM address 0xF4B12E is a 16-bit integer that holds the block pushing delay, in frames. The default value is 10 (0x000A). Block Speed The maximum block pushing speed is found at 0xF4AF8E. It's a 16-bit number that represents the 2 most significant bytes of a float. The default value is 2 (0x4000). Block Distance (wouldn't change this in case it messes up the block positions in a puzzle) The block pushing distance works similarly and is found at 0xF4AFD2 and has a default value of 20 (0x41A0). And as a bonus for those of you who want to throw speedrunners off a bit, have the game check for all six medallions! Write the following 2 lines at ROM address AE04A0. 8E0200A4 3049003F 392A003F 1540001A 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 Nothing too major, but thought it was very useful. There's nothing like making the blocks go faster. The only issue I've seen is that the regular crates like the lon lon crates where Talon sleeps aren't sped up, so they must have a different address. I'm not sure why that would be though.

I thought the floating time block sounded normal, but I wasn't sure how to check. -

Video Tutorials To Get Started and Master Tool List
giadrosich replied to giadrosich's question in Q & A
I'll add it if people want to give it a shot, thanks, deathbasket. As for the issue with Google Sketchup and downloading it as legally as possible, there really shouldn't be an argument about that because we deal with ROMs which, are quite illegal. Even Nintendo is highly against them: http://www.nintendo.com/corp/legal.jsp#good. So, if you have no issue with ROMs, you really should have no issue with that sort of thing. *shrug* -
Video Tutorials To Get Started and Master Tool List
giadrosich replied to giadrosich's question in Q & A
You can only use free trial from what I know up to 3 or 8 hours. The free pro version is easy enough to get, but I know some people are squeamish about that sort of thing. *shrug* It's up to you. The free trial is good for people who only want to take a passing glance at it. -
It's not JSA right? He claims to have made ZAP and ZLE. A shame the source code links don't work--Jason's been looking for that. "This is the entire last releases of the ZLE collection, every tool I released for hacking The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time. I've included Links to source code for each, and I encourage anyone to pick up and use any code they want, I only ask that you give credit." But he does say Zelda's Birthday was "(not made by me)"...

Nothing terribly interesting to show off, my recent workings is skulltula movements, so can't really show that off for sake of spoilers Thought you guys might want more examples of NPC conversations. And just for lols: EDIT: Website is updated and very shiny! Thanks to ShadowFire for setting it up for me and making it look awesome! Be sure to spread the news to friends about the mod so they can try it out. http://voyageroftime.the-gcn.com/index.html

I hope you do enjoy it. I am working on a few surprises though, with dungeon puzzles and all that, so hopefully it'll feel fresh. With the storyline overhaul, new sidequests, new route through the game as well as more NPC involvement, it'll have something for everyone in it. I'm working on the dungeons and doing my best with them--it's hard to fit new puzzles into an already-changed layout.

Make sure you click on the main viewing window. If you're using v.11, just remember its not tested as much.

I have a tutorial on it, but now that I think about it, I'm not sure if I go over movement. Hmm. Just use wasd to move camera.

Video Tutorials To Get Started and Master Tool List
giadrosich replied to giadrosich's question in Q & A
03/11/2013 Due to great direction from SanguinettiMods, was able to learn how to make and import maps for SharpOcarina. And I immediately made a tutorial on this for everyone. Check first posting for link! It goes over how to make a simple map in SketchupPro, add textures, import it into Sharp and then inject it into the ROM. -
When it works though. It doesn't work on my computer.

Who likes to papercraft? If so, post up your stuff you've done or stuff you're working on! Also, link to the original craft so others can try it out. I'm working on Link and Epona by Ninjatoes Link looks a bit derpy without hands, but I'm doing Epona next, so he'll look better. Edit: I noticed by complete coincidence that the manual for OOT was in the background. XD

Progress update! Hey, if cows can be in Jabu.... I'm allowed fire somewhere. It's the law.
-
No, the sword collision is there, though, Link does bump into it. But it won't grab or drop.
-
I got it to show up as Young Link on the first file for debug, and the cutscene worked okay, but was glitchy of course ( ). But yeah, whenever I put it in as adult, it was invisible and he wouldn't grab it. I stuck it in the first room of the forest temple.

Video Tutorials To Get Started and Master Tool List
giadrosich replied to giadrosich's question in Q & A
I will change the notes on the programs to reflect this, thanks. -
Interesting idea. That reminds me of a video I saw--and I can't for the life of me find it again--about Mario bros 1-1 recreated in a zelda mod. They had repositioned the debug camera to the side, and had Link go through it. It was kind of interesting. Wish I could find it again. >_>

I'll add some of the ones that I missed onto the tutorial thread. Do you want me to add the buggy program though, just for completions sake? I can mention that it's semi-finished. I didn't realize there was another topic on this, but I guess with it being from 2011, it needs a refreshing update, lol. Plus with it pinned, you won't have to search through the topics.

You might laugh, but this idea actually came from a dream that my husband had. So...yeah. He dreamed he had to go through the Stone Tower temple as an adult, found Jabu-Jabu and then, to get inside, you had to become a kid, and there was a Master Sword Pedestal you could use. So...that's why I thought to ask about this. XD It would make for interesting puzzles and it makes sense in a narrative way because the Temples are where the sages are kept, and the Temple of Time is...well..a temple, so why wouldn't the other temples have a way to use the Master Sword? Just a thought. If you can manage to get it to work without a huge amount of trouble, it would be kind of awesome. EDIT: Or just have a bunch of Master Swords around the map for easy warping. Since you get prelude so late into my mod.

O.o What.

Gah! The hell is that thing!? >_> That needs a warning before I scroll down and see that staring at me.

Video Tutorials To Get Started and Master Tool List
giadrosich replied to giadrosich's question in Q & A
3/10/2013 Added master list tool for advanced users. If anyone can think of anything else to add, just list it and I'll add it. 03/11/2013 Added extra programs that sanguinettimod sent me, as well as marked next to each program which has a tutorial. Overall cleaned up the postings to have an easier flow.
