Mind if I add that to the tutorial thread? I'll add a section for advanced users who need quick access to the tools.

I could put together a list of the tools and add it to the tutorial page. Just give me a bit and I'll get back with you on it.

That list is for extreme new people to modding. Like if you know nothing about hex, ect. He's made a mod before, so the list isn't too helpful. Perhaps the text tools could be, but that's about it.

Twilight Princess actually kind of starts the character development for him. He starts out as this farmer kid who just goes to save the kids who has been captured, to becoming this huge Hero that has to save Hyrule. You can see him grow into his own with Midna--who also has nice character development. As for Skyward Sword, that Link is the most happy-go-lucky I've seen. In the pictures of Skyward Sword, he's always got this big ol' grin on his face. And he becomes more heroic when Impa berates him for being "late" and "useless" for Zelda. Wind Waker also starts out wanting to save his sister and ends up saving Hyrule. Majora's Mask...just look at that game. The entire game is character development. OOT, yes, he doesn't have much personality (I'm trying to fix that with my own mod), but it was first 3d one, so they were still probably a bit unsure what they could do in regards to Link's personality.

I checked out Sayaka, ZAP2 and through the actor list, but I don't see anything. I do know the shooting gallery in Kakariko is an actor, but it would be a bit odd to have that building out there. As for creating my own house, I've been messing around in Sketchup, but I have no idea how to import objects and make actors/objects/variables for them (I assume they need that). If I could make the object and someone teaches me how to import it, then perhaps. Hyrule Field would be nice to have a tiny village outcropping. How big should the building be, perhaps? As for the enemy thing, I actually have been working on some stuff that adds more challenge in the boss chambers, but not going to reveal that until later.

Is there any way possible to put the Pedestal inside temples and have Link go forward and back in time this way? I don't have a clue what causes the actual travel to the past/future. This is probably way out of reach what the game or me can accomplish, but I think this could be an interesting feature.

I don't see Zeth the type of person to do that, and this explains way too much about the Wind Waker sage. Besides, who posts April Fools stuff in early March? This is a really awesome find though. It's really cool to see the progression to the final models too!

And with the help of Jason, I've managed to make significant strides in Hyrule Field using his actor program. Expect to see little things like this around in Hyrule Field. It's not much, but one more thing to actually make the game feel inhabited by the races.

I was in a comic shop before, and I swear, there was one guy making noises just like the Skeksis, that weird whining high-pitched squeal. It was creepy.

I NEVER wanted to see IT. It looked way too wrong on so many levels. I've watched reviews of it. But I'm a total wuss when it comes to scary movies--the slightest thing and I'm shrieking. I don't like watching them. I don't like gore or slasher flicks either--I don't see the point really. It's just gross when it comes right down to it. And I've never heard of a slasher flick being shown off for its story.

Oh, lord the Dark Crystal. What's funny is my dad said that the Dark Crystal was too scary for me as a young kid. And watching when I was older, I wholeheartedly agree with him. He also didn't let me watch Star Wars until I was about 12/13 years old. But I do support his decision on the DC. That is in no way a kid's movie. It's an awesome movie though. The puppets are amazing.

Thanks, I like them too, I appreciate the input. I do have a reason for the purple one, but I'll post that up at a later date when I get it nailed down. I'm still working on a reasoning for the Goron tunic being a different colour, but it could be as simple as a more effective colour to guard against heat. Naming it after the Gerudos could perhaps be a gift to the Gorons after Link became friends to both. If there's a way to get the tunic from someone other than the Link Goron, that would make it easier to explain. Really, getting the tunics in different places would be awesome, but I think that's again going to ASM stuff with actors and all that. x.x I've tried to look at topics on changing what NPCs give you, but perhaps I'll go back to it and see if I get it now.

My uncle was hit by a drunk driver when I was little. I'll never forget when my family went to visit him in the hospital--he had woken up and didn't really remember anybody, not even his own kids. He had suffered brain damage. He eventually got a little better with time, but he was never quite right again after that, always forgetting, looking off into space, things of that sort. Drunk driving really does ruin many families, and I hope one day there won't be a problem with it. But humans are humans. Your story was very touching, thank you for sharing.

I tend to have a lot of projects going on, but I'm determined to not start anything until this thing is done with! XD Progress Update! Messing around in the title sequence brought me to this. I really like how it came out, gives a great tone to the start and you see a tiny glimpse of the Gerudo control going on. Can't seem to get wind to work for me though, I'd like to have the cloth fluttering in the breeze, but ah well. I'm so glad I got the lightning to work for me just where I wanted it.

How can you hate the 80s? There's a lot of good movies and tv shows that came out of the 80s.

I knew nothing of hex editing at the time, and the rest was just persistence and learning one thing at a time. Believe it or not, this mod started out as just a straight text edit. Just keep trying stuff until it works.

Personalities don't necessarily have to be opposite. Me and my husband aren't opposite personality-wise. We both like the same things, and we're both pretty quiet people. Now, I do take care of paying all the bills, housework, shopping and such while he goes to work, but that's by choice and not really by personality. He does do the laundry though, because I hate doing it, and he volunteered for it. I hate the phrase follow your heart. It's the silliest phrase ever. Hearts are evil. But I've expressed my viewpoint elsewhere on that. I don't see Malon as sitting and waiting around...I see her as having no control over the situation. Ruto doesn't really have anything to lose by her actions, so it's easier to take risks. Malon has the ranch, so she's a bit more careful in her choices.

All right, I've had a go at these colours. I'm liking them. Also, had an idea for trees in Kokiri Forest while messing around. Take two trees, upend one, and then have one sort of float to the side, and viola: It's a cut tree. A shame they don't have bottoms though, but I can forgive that.

That looks like the oddest show. Obviously, I don't understand the language, and I heard the word concentrate in it though. The goal is to have the tops land straight? And it looks like beer, is it soda/pop/coke (depending on where you live)?

Wishbone was another favorite of mine. I can still sing the theme song. My dad liked it too, so it was a plus. Reading and dogs in the same TV show? Sign me up!

Is it just a matter of getting into the well? You can get in as a kid with the water not drained easy enough.
