Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it. I'm gonna go with the concept artist on this one. You clearly know colours, and I like the grey-green as well. I'll have to do some colour tests in the rom to get exactly what I want. I have actually tried to find the offsets for the undergarmets, but I think they may be attached to the model itself. I haven't found any documentation on them yet, but I'll continue to search. Searching for me means changing crap in hex until something happens. Funny you mention purple, when I found out I could change colours, that's the first thing I changed Link's tunic too as a test. I also tried orange, but it had an "escaped prisoner convict" vibe and didn't look quite right in-game. I have also tried the white tunic, but I think it was a bit stark. Eyes are drawn to white naturally, so I don't want Link himself to become distracting from the world around him. For sure, I'm going to have a reason for the tunic changes. Thanks for the suggestions, I shall continue to look at colours and post up some alternatives. Considering you have Link the entire game, I want that aspect to be enjoyable for all.

Let's look at Ruto for a second. She was rather young when the Jabu incident happened. Now, by her own admission, she has traveled into Jabu on more than one occasion "since she was little". This makes me believe that there perhaps is a sort of ruse going on, and perhaps does this to get the attention of her father. King Zora doesn't seem like the brightest bulb in the pack, and he probably just treats Ruto like she's just there. However, he did show concern with her missing, but not enough to check her favorite haunt--Jabu. The Zoras were sent as far as the river to Hyrule Field, but not to Zora's Fountain. Seems odd. Perhaps she's just being haughty because that's how she feels she is supposed to be? She does seem mellowed out when she is older, and has that "taking charge" feel about her. She even teases Link about her being his fiance. So, with that behavior, it's almost like she knows she was stupid, and is asking forgiveness for that. Now, Malon on the other hand, is known to be a dreamer. A gossip stone says she's waiting for her "knight in shining armor" to sweep her off her feet. Now, when Link comes along at ten years old, she's just an ordinary kid towards him who has met another kid her age. Yeah, he dresses funny, but what kid doesn't make fun of another kid? Kids are mean. Now, when they both grow up and Link finds himself back at the ranch, Malon is much older and more world-weary than Ruto is portrayed. Yeah, Ruto witnessed her entire race being frozen, but for some reason, the game doesn't focus on this trauma. The whole ranch sidestory is a fascinating one to me, because the way it was portrayed. The difference between the ranch as a kid and adult are very stark differences. As a kid, the horses are free to roam around (in my mod, roam around Hyrule Field at least) and are taken care of. When Ingo takes over the ranch, he seems very cruel to the horses and even beats them (according to Malon). Malon has had everything taken away from her at this point--her dad, the horses, her freedom even, as she won't leave with the horses being treated that way. So Malon, in a way, is more of a tragic figure than even Ruto could ever hope to be. Even though Ruto's entire race was frozen in ice, she still has her freedom to try and help as best she can. Malon has no way out of the situation she's in without outside help from Link. So, Malon has more world experience than Ruto, as well as the fact she can hold her own against an abusive person (Ingo). I don't see Ruto lasting that long against that sort of opposition. If she still is in her "princess" mode, she expects people to respect her, and probably would trip over backwards if put in a situation like Malon. So, for reasons listed, Malon is clearly the best person to help get you through a tragedy in a married situation. She's the one who will understand when odds are against you. tl,dr version: Malon is better because.

If I manage to figure out how to actually add objects/actors without having to replace them, that is a viable route, but if I did manage it, then I would concentrate on actually building up the dungeons a bit more. The bosses are fun in their own right. Good suggestion, but a bit beyond me at the moment. I'm working on it.

Malon does seem the better choice. Plus, she has business skills. Running a ranch and dealing with all that.

It's a dark green tunic actually, the video quality is a bit bad when showing the basic tunic. The gold blends a bit too much with the hair in my opinion, but if more people show distaste at the tunic, I'll mess around with colours. It's difficult to nail down a colour everyone likes.

Use PPF studio. Simple instructions: Make a file name for the ppf by clicking the folder next to PPF File (output). Go down to original file and put in the untouched rom. Go to patched file and put in the modified rom. Hit create ppf patch. If you want, you can rename the file to "samuraimod.ppf", otherwise it'll just be "samuraimod" by default. I do that so I know what it is. After that, just post it to mediafire or something, then copy the share link and post it up for others to enjoy.

Progress Update! Been working on Adult Hyrule Field and sprucing it up a bit by breaking it down as much as I can. Still working on adding more objects so I can really do what I want to with it, but so far, I think it looks pretty good. Fixed my Forest Temple problem by just adding a rusted switch instead of a statue. Fixes the door problem of it being unlocked, and still prevents access until you get the hammer. Kokiri Forest has gone through some changes as well. Not even the most innocent places are untouched by Ganondorf. Small Edit: I have also replaced the Kokiri sword using a patch for the Razor Sword to keep in line with my MM gear. Not too sure if I'll keep it, but we'll see.

Okay, I didn't really figure it out, but I did do a workaround. Instead of making the statues, I just made the switch at the start of the dungeon rusted, and that way it shouldn't affect anything else in the temple. The door was then locked, and I'll have to do another run-through of the temple to make sure nothing else was screwed up. -
I got parts to load in the system, that's a start. But I can't get the full model to load up. Same thing with every model but Anubis it seems. Anubis loads up fine, exports fine, everything. But as soon as I try a different model, like the boomerang, or a horse, I can't open the exports in sketchup.

*groan* Nope. Changed the variable so it wouldn't match the door, and the door is still unlocked. Seriously, what else do I try? I've only changed the two things. -

Awesome, thanks. After using this, I found out the door in question is actor002E variable02C0. There are only two things I've changed in the dungeon. Chest: 000A / BB24 Fire Temple statues at the start to block the way in: 0040 variables of 0000 / 0001 (two statues) By smashing the 0000 variable statue, is this causing the door to unlock? -

Hmm. Whenever I go into the viewer, the doors aren't there, and I don't see a way to select doors. -

I have no idea what you could possibly be doing then to mess up your rom with that program. Unless you're injecting or extracting it wrong. You really need to post up what your changing and what your changing it to. -

How do you even check door flags? I can't see them in ZAP2 (the editor doesn't go to them), and Sayaka GL doesn't display them either. Plus, I haven't added any switches. Like I said, I've only changed the contents of a chest, and I made sure the flags on that one didn't go against any other chests. -
I feel like the dumbest person in existance. I can't even open a file in the thing. I wated to try the tutorial for the custom enemies, and I'm not sure how you opened up the Anubis file. So then I moved over to the other tutorial, thinking it might be easier. I downloaded the Link file you put up, and then tried to open it in the program. Nothing shows up. I then spent half an hour trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. I even renamed it .zobj to see if that did anything, and nothing happened. I'm like...so embarrassed to even admit this.

Reposted from my Voyager thread so it's all in one place. Forest Temple door in my rom is unlocked for some reason. This door right here: Is not locked in my rom. Picture was taken from a video walkthrough. I went through the temple normally and such, not opening the chest I did change, and the door was still unlocked. So, theoretically, if I open the chest, the door should unlock then, right? By the chest just being there, should the door be unlocked? Here are the keys I get and use: Key 1 - first room Door 1 - first corridor (leads to main chamber) Key 2 - Wolfos room Door 2 - Block room (leads to twisted hallway 1) Key 3 - Redead room (attached to west courtyard) Door 3 - West twisted room (leads to first Poe sister room) Key 4 - In the well Key 5 - East courtyard (song of time puzzle) DOOR 4 (second poe sister room upper level-leads into second twisted hallway) <---the one that is unlocked from the start Door 5 - East twisted room (leads to fire arrow puzzle) Key 6 - East courtyard (drop from ledge) Door 6 - falling ceiling room (leads to block Poe sister room) Keep in mind that this is being played on the second file. -
Perhaps breasts were some sort of evolutionary design that got worked out. Kinda like how guys have breasts even though they don't use 'em. It also makes sense that the species would die out if they were frozen in some sort of way because of the cold-blooded nature of them. It takes about one to three days from the time the Zora eggs are laid for them to hatch, according to Majora's Mask, so the question is if they fertilize outside or inside the body. Do they go the route of fish or birds?

I use random name generators whenever I feel uninspired. My name on here is literally just my name, but only because I wanted it tied to my youtube account easier. Random name generators are always fun. Link doesn't seem to work anymore. Every time I type Link I always feel like I need to say no pun intended. -
What if Link took the Spiderman approach and just ditched all girls? We haven't even assumed that maybe he's gay or something too. What if he really likes Ghirahim or something? I mean, who can account for the sexual preferences of Heroes of Time? He never shows much interest in the girls in the games (skyward sword he does maybe with Zelda). But Ghirahim is calling. It does depend on the game, though. OOT Link doesn't have much personality. Twilight Princess Link has a good case for him being gay, I mean, take a look at Telma. She's got...assets that would make any man take a second look, and Link just kinda backs away from her in every scene she's in. But she is intimidating. Ilia doesn't count. Ilia has the hots for Epona. I just wrote that. God. In Skyward Sword, it's pretty obvious it's Zelda. So that Link isn't gay. But TP and OOT don't really have too much going for him.

Bah, yeah, not sure how to define an injection offset. I'll continue to try things though. I did watch the video, and actually followed everything there to make sure I was doing it right. Just no space in the rom for anything it says. *sigh* Ah well. At least I can add stuff to other places, though! (so far!) EDIT: I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I attempted to add an object to the first room of the Forest Temple. Seemed okay, the program was all "yay, success". But then I go there with ZAP2 to change the stuffs, and every object that was in the room was changed to 0000. I don't get it. I've followed the instructions and all that, but for some reason, it's just not working for me. I did attempt to edit those objects, and changed one of them to 0032. The actor/object did show up, but then I exited, came back in, and the objects were again set to 0000. Even though the 0032 object did stay and load in the room. The stalfos loaded right away, though every object is 0000. Like...what the crap is going on. EDIT 2: Okay, that's it, I don't know what else to do. I can add actors fine, but then I add objects, and it's set for Link. If I add actors to the same map, the flames show up fine, but then EVERY object is set as Link, whether or not it's 0000. In Gerudo Valley, then, I got this weird thing where I added actors, and then in ZAP2, only actors called "push block" and "invalid" showed up, and I couldn't change the object list. It must be me.
