I didn't actually realize that Link would be able to use the tunics! I'll have to put that in, thanks for the suggestion!
-
Well, it would be cool I think to have the hammer have a downside, otherwise, yeah, turning it visible is my only other option. I thought it would take going into fixing the mesh or something I didn't understand from what people have said. I know Zelda's Birthday did it, and I found the topic for who changed it, but as for how, it's a bit beyond me. Whichever way is easier I suppose. If no one really knows how to do this, I can change text easy enough to make it not cursed. XD It was just an idea. *shrug* @samurai I haven't decided yet. It's in the original place where lens used to be at the moment.

I'm hoping to give him a little more development. I can't do much, but I'll try. XD Need opinions on tunic colours. Was thinking of changing 'em to just be something different to look at. EDIT: 3/9/2013 Tunic colours have been decided on, so be sure to look out for them!

I just had this image of Link traversing a city Assassin's Creed style. Looks good, I like the idea with your map!

Video Tutorials To Get Started and Master Tool List
giadrosich replied to giadrosich's question in Q & A
Updated to include a tutorial on how Navi's colours work and transparency of the body. 2/25/2013 -
That's actually what I'm going for, you hit it dead on. I've relocated the Hammer to bottom of the well, and Darunia warns adult Link that the hammer has been cursed (it's invisible as young link) and not to use it until he is able to. I want to give the player the ability to use the hammer at that age, but also give a bit of a downside to it. That way it's not so overpowered.

Super awesome update yeah! I have Tael! Do you know how long it took me to find THIS page: http://wiki.spinout182.com/w/Code_notes Entirely too long. Google searches did nothing, neither did searches on the wiki bring up this page. My god. I was so happy to figure this out. For future people who might want to know this: How to change Navi's colours in OOT Sakura89's documentation on offsets in ROM: 00B8D134 - Navi's normal colour00B8D144 - NPC's00B8D14C - enemies00B8D154 - signs, gossip stones00B8D15C - checkable spots00B8D16C - bosses I have changed the style around and here's the colours I'm using for Tael. Bit of an odd request, but I would like the ability to have young Link get hurt when he swings the Megaton Hammer. I was told this would be possible with ASM hacking, so if anyone is skilled in this area, it would be appreciated.

Well, you don't seem to be messing up anything....try to edit text on a clean rom and see what happens. Go to a text box you can get to quickly on the clean one and edit it and then do the steps above. If the rom messes up, then there must be something wrong with the program and I would suggest downloading it again from the download section in GCN. If the rom doesn't mess up from the clean rom, then it must be the rom you are editing on. Ninja'd above. XD

I didn't have any problems with the rom being destroyed. Post the steps you are using to edit your rom so I can have an idea of what you're doing.

Well...I have discovered the joy of investigating random spots on WiiStreetU (continues laughing at the name of it) and I found this awesome place. If you guys want to post some weird places you found, here's a good spot to do so. I found a video game castle/church thing today. It looks straight out of Wind Waker with all the stained glass. The inside is absolutely gorgeous. Virtual tour of the inside: http://www.sagradafamilia.cat/docs_instit/vvirtual.php?vv=1 It's in stark contrast with the outside, which is very grey and dull looking. But still awesome.

White and lime green stripes would be a fashion statement. And give him a top hat and a monocle. Just because.

I grew up with a lot of celtic influence with my family, so celtic music has to be my favorite. I love zooming down the road with bagpipes blasting.

I'm trying to convey the utter destruction that Ganondorf can have on the land in seven years. It's a long time for the Ranch to go completely untouched, and I was always a bit disappointed there wasn't that much to do there. I'm afraid I don't add much other than a more in-depth side story there, but at least it's shown to be effected by the tyranny of Ganondorf. I'm also trying my very best to avoid the strong urge of putting annoying enemies everywhere. I'm really trying to avoid enemy replacement as much as possible--I want to make the game enjoyable, not "Kaizo Zelda". I hate games that add fake difficulty that way, and I refuse to do it in my mod. Progress update: Ganon decided to up the security a bit in Hyrule field. Another sidequest? Or just decoration? I need your opinion on this picture below. I couldn't manage to have Zora's under the ice without them disappearing or the ability to speak with them gone. So...this happened. And it turned out a bit funnier (in a horrible sort of way) than I expected. Should it stay in or go out? Thanks to SanguinettiMods, the shield is now the Hero's Shield from Majora's Mask! He's also going to teach me how to change the "navi" button to "tael" to fit more in-line with the mod.

Kinda sums up youtube comments rather well. XD

I don't believe we'll ever have world peace, no way. I don't believe in the saying "follow your heart". I think it's utter tripe to say the least. The human heart is probably the most evil thing you can follow. Proof that we're evil way deep down inside? Just look at any kid running around. Don't have to tell them how to misbehave--they already know how to do that--but you sure have to tell them to behave. So, politics aside (I make it a point to never engage in a politics debate anywhere), yes, people have grown dependent on everyone but themselves. It's sort of a "gimme" attitude going on everywhere. I'm not sure how overseas handles it, but food stamps and all that are rampant in the US. I have no shame in admiting I had to be on food stamps for a short while--it got me back on my feet, and then I discontinued it. Which is what it's suppose to do. But I also don't have cable, or even a land-line telephone. I know lots of people who are on food stamps and still have cable and all the stuff they think is "necessary" for survival. But ah well. What can you do other than live your life and survive day by day?

I studied conspiracy theories when I was in high school and gave my final thesis on the affect they have to people. It was about 30 pages long, and I still could have talked more about it. I became intrigued in this and did a lot of digging on my own to look into this. There are a lot of things that can be shot down rather quickly, and I have seen the video about what you have quoted. Conspiracy theories work well in the fact that everyone likes to think someone is out to get them--in this case, the government. While there is reason to believe that they are using the crisis to have gun control, that's just going off the old saying "never let a good crisis go to waste." It's harsh, but true. This doesn't mean the shooting was faked though. Conspiracy theories also run off the "mob mentality" type of thinking. If you put forth a few facts that seem rather dodgy, then it gets spread around quickly, and more and more people start to believe it without researching it on their own. It's downright interesting to watch conspiracy theories and study them.

Something's going on at the ranch... Progress update: I've done a lot of text editing and am working fervently on giving good hints for the new route I have planned for the game. I've also gained the knowledge to give child Link an ability to use an adult item, which will make for different type puzzles I can put into a dungeon. My husband and I are working on the dungeons to try and make them interesting, while keeping the spirit of the original Master Quest dungeons. It's difficult to incorporate new stuff when all I can do is replace things instead of add them, but I'm doing my best in that regard. As for sidequests, I do have a few set up where you can get some nice rewards out of it. One is mandatory, but is not hard, so don't worry. Actually, none of them are really hard...but oh well. As you can see from the picture above, I do have some new plans for Lon Lon Ranch. Just have to wait and see when you play it what they are. Also this:

I like the theme of this mod and the ideas behind it. I wish I could help more with dungeons and stuff!

And I do apologize for being a bit blunt. XD

Thank you for the little outline. That helped quite a lot. I was finally able to make sense of this. The ZLE2 instructions don't really explain that well on what the different things are. I've looked at the z64 wiki, but almost every page I come across, it's just pages of coding that I don't understand. I suppose I might have been a bit blunt with my posting, but I was just frustrated at the time for feeling accused of not doing any research on my own. I've learned stuff on my own, I was super proud of the fact that I even learned how to have a chest appear after killing enemies. That's my tiny accomplishment. To other people, this is no biggie, but to me that was amazing. I don't want someone to just give me something on how to do it, I also do want to know why, I'm not asking that. There's a difference though between teaching someone vs giving them a math book and saying "oh, there are tutorials in there, learn how to do it on your own." It's not going to work for most people. If it did, there wouldn't be teachers. I understand if someone has already learned something, then it can maybe feel dumb to teach such a simple concept, but if someone asks me how to do something, I try to answer. Rather than just say "oh, there's a readme, go to that" I try to answer not only for the benefit of them, but for the benefit of someone who might be coming around months later trying to find out the same thing. I agree you shouldn't just post the end result. This community has been awesome with helping with frustrating problems, and I don't think anyone will disagree on that. I apologize for my frustrated outburst, it's just...it's hard to get past the simple things without any sort of help at all. I'm not a programmer by nature. My skillset includes playing a musical instrument (poorly at that), and I can type 90WPM. I didn't even know what hex editors did before stepping into this. It's very hard to get past the simple actor replacement and go into "more advanced" stuff (at least to me). But I'm learning. With the help of this community, I have learned quite a lot that I want to implement in my mod. So I do thank everyone who has helped me.

I would do experimentation, but I don't know where to begin with certain things. As I've said UOT doesn't work on my comptuer. I'd love to use it, but alas, I can't. I didn't know that exits are tied to collision mesh. Thank you for letting me know that ZLE2 is where one can begin to learn about exits. That's all you needed to say. I didn't know that it had the ability to do that. What's wrong with asking for a simple tutorial? Sharing knowledge is the best way to get a person who doesn't know how to do this stuff get started. People complain about no new mods, but then when someone asks for a simple tutorial on how to do something, they just blow them off and say "gonna have to do your own research on this, sorry." Why re-invent the wheel? Sure, there are tutorials on everything that I've covered in the read-me files. But I still put out video tutorials because some people don't understand written instructions as well as visuals or step-by-step learning. I have a learning problem that really just gets in the way of on-my-own learning and makes it incredibly difficult for me to understand written instructions without any sort of visuals. Apologies in advance if I've come across as a mean person for saying all this, but I'm frustrated at the lack of tutorials on many of the tools that are uploaded. Sometimes, it's just not newbie friendly, and I'm trying to learn. Learning takes time, and by asking questions one learns. I'm sorry if I'm apparently the only person in the world who doesn't know how exits work, but at least I'm trying to reach out and learn about them. I didn't know where or how to do such a thing, this is why I asked. I've done searches and looked for how to change exits, but couldn't find anything. This is why I made a topic in the Q&A section. I feel like you're saying I did absolutely no research/effort before posting this topic. I've asked people before, and they said it would be too hard for me at this point in time, so thus, why I asked for some sort of help in getting started. At least your the first person to let me know that ZLE2 is the place to go for it. Thank you. You can lock this topic if you need to, mods.

Well, for sure...but when normal players come across it and aren't looking for glitches? Sign of bad testing.
