  1. Yeah, for some reason, the thing where you press one of the d-pad is still in there when it interrupts the cutscene and you can walk around, someone did that with Shiek. I feel like an idiot for missing that, but I followed all the changes you're supposed to make for debug, and I guess that's one thing that stayed in. Ah well. EDIT: On a side note, you can't skip the aftermath of Water Temple, because the water doesn't become filled.
  2. Odd. Yeah, I've had people watch the whole light scene, and then skip Shiek's text, and it doesn't show up. Now, I didn't WANT the skip function in the game, but it somehow made it through my debug option edits. >.< So, perhaps I somehow edited out something else that lets people get it in that scene.
  3. XD I was looking at the new screenshots and then scrolled down to the concept sketch, and my brain was all "Oh, wow, that's interesting graphics, I wonder what level those would be in!" And then I figured out that was just a concept sketch. Derp.
  4. I am going to try this program out today then and see what I can pull out of it. I've always wanted to really edit the landscape to my liking. I've tried editing landscape in ZLE2, but the problem I had with that is, you could edit the vertices but then the collision wouldn't follow. So the original collision would sill be there, but with funky walkthrough graphics. Does UoT deal with the collision at the same time, or is that another step? I'd like to be able to put up some proper videos on this tool as well.
  5. Oh, is that done with ASM? If you know that, you should for sure put up some tutorials. Or did you use the Ocarina Value Editor? That's cool though.
  6. Pendants, is there a reason why skipping the light medallion cutscene doesn't give it to you, but I think when you skip other medallion scenes, it does? When do you "get" the medallion? I've found that if you skip anything between pulling the master sword for the first time and the last line with Shiek, it doesn't give it to you--you have to watch the whole thing. I don't think songs do that either.
  7. Venting makes me feel better.
  8. It's like the people you see shopping. I'm convinced they're the same people. I've NEVER in my life gone shopping and just thrown things on the floor. NEVER. And yet, while working at Walmart for a time on night shift, we saw the aftermath of people disrespecting the store and its property. Like, who the hell just eats half a bag of potato chips and leaves it in the clothing section?! These type of people are on the internet. And they don't care about what sort of mess they leave behind, they're ALL about themselves. Hrumph. I suppose I'm being a grumpy old fart, but my god. See Spire? Not hard. I replied to that person with a solution, but also hoped that they never did any text editing in the game.
  9. I think half the comments I see are people's cats running across the keyboard, and the person has an errant synapse fire and their hand just juts forward to hit the "send" key. "Oh, no, Fluffy has run across the keyboard and wrote adfodahfasf on my comment! Whatever shall I--" BTTZ "--this is a great comment! I must show it to the WORLD!"
  10. I didn't even realize cylinders would work...I've been doing pillars with the octagon tool... Now I feel dumb for not even trying it....
  11. EXACTLY. Someone asked me what system VoT would be coming out for. >_____> *explode* I just said WiiU, PS4, and Xbox360. I'm a sarcastic ass to stupid people. Seriously. If you can't take the time to watch or read the video, then why should I take the time to respond? Like, even if he doesn't know about emulators, they should at least think N64.
  12. Oh lord. It works? It doesn't corrupt the rom or anything?
  13. It's....my last name....I'm boring.
  14. Youtube. Oh. My. God. I've been with youtube doing LP's since 2010. I have 15 full LP's and hundreds of videos on looking at games, tutorials, ect. I've been around youtube for a long while. I'm so fed up with the stupid. It's not even funny. No one takes the time to read an effing description of a video, and even if you put in large letters "READ DESCRIPTION" there's still those really, really dumb people. How long does it take to scroll down two inches, see the little "show more" button and then click on it?! This tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about the video! Is it THAT hard to use decent English?! Like....what is THIS? What do I DO with this?! I'm more caught up on the incomplete sentence structure and various misspelled words to even think about the problem this person is having! I literally spent at least two minutes just staring at this comment, trying to translate it into my brain. I read full sentences at a time, so I have trouble dissecting individual words out of a paragraph. It's just not easily done for me. So then I run across stuff like this and my brain backfires because it can't discern a thought process. Plus on top of that I have personification of numbers and letters (light form of synesthesia), so I go crazy when it doesn't fit together. I don't understand how someone can type something online...and not...have it be a proper thing to read. I don't know if I'm getting my point across well on this. I just don't get it. HOW do people exist where they just spout off their mind and think it's okay because it's the internet?! GRR. Venting done.
  15. JSA, I thought your tool was difficult to use? If it's user friendly, then sure, but I've asked about it before and I've been told it's a bit hard to use. I can give it a shot though and see.
  16. I'll have to mess around and see what I get with that explanation, thanks for breaking it down for me pretty well!
  17. Yep, got a comment on one of my map tutorial videos from one of the people doing this. So I guess they're starting to learn how to mod. Which, I always encourage new people into modding. But I think the problem with this is that URA has left a bad taste in people's mouths with the way it went out. Which will always hinder any project, I don't think anyone wants to touch it with a ten foot pole right now.
  18. I really wish I understood what was being talked about. I don't understand how you guys know what to change. ;~; I'll learn eventually, but it's intimidating. JSA. If you can make a tool that edits cutscenes easly, I'd be all over that.
  19. This is a great idea I would definitely like to incorrporate into the game. With that said I lack the knowledge to even do it because this would require editing cutscenes Well that can't be right, that Link is in the graveyard in my game. XD j/k And heavy, you can't please everyone--BELIEVE me. Haha yeah this game is really for me. I do hope that everyone likes it, but if people don't like something I really like, and don't intend on changing then oh well. There's a lot of cutscene stuff being done right now, but I agree, we need a easy tool for that. I don't get the stuff that's being talked about in the cutscene thread at all.
  20. What about the changes that are put in for Zelda's Lullaby? I know in speedrunning at least, the guy that blocks the forest off at the start actually changes positions slightly after learning the song, so your angle for escaping is slightly changed.
  21. Hell, you can make it better than Master Quest and it'll be great. The dungeons waste so much space in that "hack", it's embarrassing (I always joke the interns at Nintendo did MQ). I like to think I've fixed the worse offenders in Voyager with Water/Fire. Fire you don't even have to go into the second half of the temple, and Water is maybe two minutes long with the BK skip gift-wrapped to you. As for story...it's difficult to write a new story with the particular cutscenes. I always attribute it to wiping a comic book clean and then rewriting using the frames given. Very hard to do. I think that when a really great tool comes out that we can make new cutscenes with, all stops will be pulled out for mods. Then people will have the freedom to REALLY make a fresh, new, full game mod.
  22. Well that can't be right, that Link is in the graveyard in my game. XD j/k And heavy, you can't please everyone--BELIEVE me.
  23. Tutorial thread with all the tools. Old video is old, so excuse my fumbling. Pendants had just taught me how to do it, so I wanted to post a video of it.
  24. Like I said before, they probably named it Ura to boost sub count.
