I know we could document all of Links, and enemy's speed values. I'm a few short lessons away from being able to find them myself in assembly, so I'll just post the ones from Glitchkill. Let's get the biggest list we can going. E2F5C0 = IRON KNUCKLES WALK SPEEDE2C00A = PULLING AXE AWAY FROM SIDE HITE2BD86 = PULLING AXE AWAY FROM FRONT HITE2BA6E = FRONT AXE SLICEE2B74A = RUNNING WHEN ARMOR IS OFF When I changed this value Link no longer froze in fear when the Re-Dead was near. E9A97C = REDEAD/GIBDO WHEN WALKING TOWARD LINK SPEED AND ANIMATION! (ALSO SPEED FOR WHEN WALKING AWAY FROM LINK!) Ghoma's Speed Values. CE2EA6 = SPEED FOR GHOMA WHEN WALKING CE3012 = SPEED OF WITCH GHOMA IS CLIMBING UP A WALL OR PILLER OR WHATEVER.CE30C6 = SPEED OF WITCH GHOMA IS CLINGING ACROSS CELING TO WHERE SHE SPAWNS GHOMA LARVA'SCE087A = SPEED OF WITCH GHOMA IS CLINGING OF THE CELING GOING IN CIRCLES AFTER THE DOOR CLOSES (THE VALUE IS KINDA WEIRD CAUSE IF YOU CHANGE IT TO C1 24/C2 24 THEN THE VALUE INGAME CHANGES FROM [C0 55 55 56] TO [C0 80 00 00]) DFFF36 = SPEED FOR WHEN YOU HIT THE GHOMA LARVA AND IT RUNS AWAY FOR A LITTLE BIT.E00F8A = GHOMA LARVA'S WALK SPEEDE00E46 = GHOMA LARVA'S JUMP SPEED

Awesome, I could do it all with midi files found online myself, but I would probably need that page for the sound effects. It's actually better that you would need that stuff done later, honestly I've got a lot on my hands with my own hack now.

If you need someone to port A Link to the Past music, I'm your man.

It's been tested and it does work on real hardware!

Yeah. It's too bad Nintendo stopped the Mario RPG series, originally they wanted Paper Mario to be a sequel, but I think they didn't want to share rights, or split profit from it with Square. I'd be the first to say the chances were slim to nothing, but it would be awesome to see some Mario RPG boss fights, or characters. From what I heard the new Paper Mario games are crap. It's funny I didn't even think of Mario RPG at first when talking about Square, and Nintendo's relationship.

Because Chrono Trigger was released on Snes, and Nintendo DS, and only years later ported to playstation one, and that was only in Japan. It could be considered connected more to Nintendo than the Final Fantasy series. I do realize how big a deal Final Fantasy is, but I just think Chrono Trigger is more Nintendo. I'd like to see Final Fantasy characters in it, but I think of that franchise as more of a Playstation series. Yeah, recently they've done Xbox, and 3DS, and ect. Though think of FF games that are much more popular that have mainly been featured on Playstation platforms, Final Fantasy 7, 9, 10. We're getting an HD remix of 10, along with Kingdom Hearts. FF8 was released on PC as well as PS1. FF13, and 13-2 might have been released in the Wii U as well if it was out a couple of years ago already. The fact that the first few FF games came out on Nintendo means hardly anything considering the were the Dominant gaming company at the time. Square picks, and chooses what system to release each game on, probably only because they feel that those games would sell best on those systems. I doubt they show any favoritism towards Nintendo over Playstation. Eh'.. I'm always able to admit when I'm wrong though. Maybe I am, I mean some of this same stuff could be said for Mega Man. It's just hard to actually imagine FF characters in Smash Bros. I did not know about Nintendo's relationship between team Ninja either.. I might google that though, it sounds pretty interesting.

I read about someone being sad about no Battle Network Mega Man.. What about Mega Man X? Personally I do not share the same feelings for Battle Network. I'm happy Mega Man is in it at all. Dr. Willy Stage 2 theme, and level from Mega Man 2 "Mega Man 2!!" moves from different games in the series. I jizzed my fanboy panties when I seen the Mega Man/Smash Bros trailer. As for Final Fantasy.. I really doubt that would ever happen. I never liked Crystal Chronicles either.. I mean.. ugh.. The one I played.. the first one on Gamecube had a dumbed down level up system, and it didn't matter if you chose a Mage, a Fighter, or whatever. The only difference was the way the characters attacks looked. As far as I can remember. It's been years. I mainly remember hating the battle, and level up system. It's not very likely they would use a Final Fantasy character ever. I think we have greater chances for many other famous video game characters from series like um.., like Ninja Gaiden?! What about Battle Toads? Secret of Mana? Castlevania? Chrono Trigger!!? Dragon Warrior? Crystalis? Ghost 'N' Goblins? Contra? Should I go on? Not to mention we already get to see all of the characters from FF in Kingdom Hearts along side with Disney characters.. if Nintendo could only get that damned Rare Ware License, we could be talking Banjo here.

That thought never ran across my mind. Nice list for writing music! I don't know how to write music in sheet form, so I could only suggest what my brother used.
-
I may have heard wrong, but I've read before that Nintendo get's rid of all the beta roms, iso's, and stuff like that now whenever a game is finished. Like I said, I could be wrong about that though.
-
Thanks I'm always down to contribute stuff like this when I can. Edited: Oh yeah, and the program you can use to edit music, in music sheet form, and see the instruments on each track is Sibelius. That's the one I mentioned in the last post of this thread.

I'm sorry Pendants I did not fully read that before, just skimmed though it. Now that I have read all of it, I still have the question that if I can give different sword attacks, to deal out different damage than before (not talking about the Jump attacks, and Spin attacks). Like his horizantal sword swing, his diagnol swing, stab attack, and so on. You mentioned before setting the Jump attack, and spin attack to different unused damage values. Is it possible to do that with what I'm trying to do? The whole reaon I want to do this is to make better use of the "3x B" combo's" I haven't read up on everything in the damage charts page.. so if you think that there may be some crucial information on how to do any of that.. (if even possible) and it's not in the Damage Charts page of the WIki then please feel free to add more info too. Like always your help is greatly appriciated Three.

I've got a small guide I have messaged to a few people. I guess I'll post it here. Here's DeathBasket's tutorial for the InstEd. He forgets to mention a lot of things, For example when you see him editing the text documents he is setting the instrument set list to what it is supposed to be, because most of the time, even though you set the list everything in the text document gets set to "inst 0" which you will want to change the "0" into what instrument you think it should be... this is often a guessing game, unless you are lucky, and someone named the instruments on each track. Then the text documents labled "Ch_0", or "Ch_1" will say "Ch_0_track_1_trumpet" which isn't because you put trumpet in the set list to begin with, but because that's what the person who made the midi set it as. Sometimes you may have to edit the "vol" as well. Another note is that if you have a program you can view midi's in music sheet form then you won't have to guess what instruments are what. My brother uses one for editing music. I will post what it is in this thread later. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=w2LlIm6FV_c Now try to mimic what he did in his video, then read the rest of this. Here is the Instrument sets and sequences https://sites.google...s-and-sequences That is important because certain instrument sets share the same sequences. For example: Instrument set "0x03" is not used only for Hyrule Field, but multiple different area's, or specific parts of the game.. hence "sequences" in the InstEd you may already seen this value simply put as "3" under "set to replace" Kakarikio Village music value "19" also has Hyrule Fields instrument set "0x03" and Kakariko Village is not the only sequence that shares the same instrument set as Hyrule Field. So do the things listed below.. "1A" when an enemy is near "1B" The Boss (Gohma's boss battle music) "1F" inside Links house "21" the boss is defeated and ect.. there are more, but you should be able to figure which ones are which. You will also want the music value page http://wiki.spinout1...oT_Music_Values This page has all of the values for the sequences, or area's of the game.. though some could be labled better, you will notice that Hyrule Fields "night" is not listed, and neither is Lake Hylia. That is because it is one of the sequences listed under instrument set 0x03 on the other page I have already given you.... don't think anyone has figured out what each Hyrule Field music value is for. The easiest way to explain where a music value goes is simple. DeathBasket put the number "2" (Hyrule Field) as the default value in the InstEd to replace. Now sometimes if you have a value with a number, and letter for a sequence.. say "Deku Tree underground/Dungeon" the value will be listed as "1C" but in Instead you will type it as "$1C" Sometimes you have to do that even when letters, and numbers are not mixed in the value. Though most of the time it's only when numbers, and letters are mixed in it. Here is a list of the instruments in OoT WoodWinds Piccolo Ocarina Oboe Clarinet Harmonica Egyption Flute Basoon Brass Trumpet Trombone Tuba Horn Percussion Glockenspiel Xylophone Steel Drum Hand Clap - (basically sounds like a snair drum most of the time) Drum Goron Drum Cowbell Tambourine Bell Cymbal What - (guessing you would say it's the goron noise in the Goron City song?) Strings Arco Pizzicato solo violin Harp Koto Banjo Nylon Guitar Steel Guitar Bass Guitar Keyboards Piano Harpischord Organ Accordion String Synth Voice Synth Bell Synth Voices Male Choir Female Choir Malon Islamic Chant - (the one used in the Fire Temple) Ambient Pad Wind Chime Wood Chime Wind Creeking Sounds 1 Sounds 2 Sounds 3

When I seen Megaman in Smash Bros brawl, I got so excited.. I think my hair went all blonde, and spikey... and I was powering up, saying "YYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSS". Then I kinda, like.. snaped out of it.

Yeah I thought it was pretty awesome

Recently I've began to think all of the pirating from the Wii Hackers, and people hacking Xbox360's have led them to do what they have done.. I'm not sticking up for them, and I've hacked my Wii to the max. I'm just guessing it's one of the things that have led to them taking precautions so people don't steal their games. I think it's crap either way though. They still make tons of money, even with the hackers.
-
That's right, the hack includes Peaches castle, and Kakariko Village from OoT with fixed clippings, because the Kakariko map has been done before. I don't know if a lot of people here already knew about that, but just incase I'm posting it for others to enjoy. I'll be testing it on the Nintendo 64 to see if it is real hardware compatible. http://www.goldeneyevault.com/

If I wasn't so busy with work, and my project I would so do this!

Maybe in either ZAP, or ZLE instead of adding the actor for weather/sound effects, I think it would be nice to have a button to select what weather/sound effect to add into an area.. like fog, rain, ect. Maybe even add in the option to change the color, and density of the fog. I still can't find out how to change the color of fog with UoT, and I would like to avoid using UoT at all.

Happy Birthday!

Well because your hack seems more about puzzles considering it's a dungeon rush... the enemies, and bosses are not that hard. Though you have yet to say how many hearts the player will start out at, or the player can even obtain more heart containers other than what the bosses give. Just figured you wanted it to be about puzzles more than anything...

Sorry. That last sentence in your other post got by me somehow... The only solution I can think of is that either there is something you can change in either Links data that keeps Epona saved in the area, or that it is in Epona's data.. if you, or someone else could figure out what it is that keeps her saved wherever she is left. Then you could replace the data in either Link's file, or copy a certain amount of hex in Epona's file, and place it in the brown horses..

Does the Dungeon Rush include bosses? Also what Faceless64 said about the dungeons.
