Eh.. there's always the option of keeping it in the past with more futuristic temples here, or there. Maybe one, or two futuristic weapons. I think it would be funny.. but great to see Link using the Portal gun.. though I know that would never happen. Someone did a hack where the bow was a portal-ish style weaopon. I think Spinout? I'm not sure.

Couldn't you just copy some of the Brown horses obj data onto epona, so that she looks like the brown horse? You could edit the song that is played to call her too.. not saying you don't know that, just reminding

Redone the Wind Waker ocean song for Hyrule Field. The last time I done it, I didn't do that good of a job... I didn't think that at the time, but eh'.. I will be reworking the LTTP Lost Woods song as well.

The Official Post Your Ugly (or Not-so Ugly) Mug Topic

Figured I would post up a more recent pic. This is only a few days old. -
That's pretty interesting, it's been so long since I've played Twilight Princess. I'd like to see that. I could see Rauru being more of a magic user than a swordsman in his younger days. Maybe he used something other than a sword, along with magic?

Well Hyrule Historia says that the Hero's Shade from Twilight Princess is Ocarina of Time Link, but he has never before seen armor, and a new sword. Only one eye is glowing suggesting that he lost it during a battle, or something of the sort. He laments on the fact that he was not remembered as a hero in the Child Era. Maybe he died fighting in that armor of his? I would like to come up with my own story to fill in the gaps of this part of the series that hasn't been covered yet. There would be endless possibilities with it, and I would create a new world for him to adventure through. With the most fearsome enemy's the series has ever seen... after all if one, or more killed OoT Link, they have to be pretty hardcore.

Well if you are interested I am in desperate need of a composer, though I am not looking for any said person to make new original songs for me, just covers of other zelda songs like boss battles from Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword. Other songs from the series that I cannot find on VGMusic, or any other place. I think you've done some good work man.

Woot! You've saved me a lot of hassle with this latest update.

I remember when someone was working on a 2D Ocarina of time with A Link to the Past graphics, sadly it was never finished, but this. This is way more exciting than that. This is awesome in every sense of the word.

Just when I thought Mario, Perfect Dark, Goldeneye and Zelda hacks were the only new roms I would be adding to my digital collection. I wish I had 10 hands so I could give this 10 thumbs up.

Well I've been a member here for about a month now, so I'd like to officially introduce myself. My name is Douglas, although a few years ago I was given the nickname Heavy by a friend (I don't know why.. I'm not a heavy person) and I guess all of my friends liked the sound of it. Now only family call me by my real name. I'm 22 turning 23 this year. Like most people here I'm a huge Zelda fan, video gaming has always been a part of my life. My oldest memories are sitting around an NES playing Q-burt, and Super Mario Bros. 3. I didn't get much into Zelda until I was a little older, and my grandmother had bought me a SNES with Super Mario World, and A Link to the Past. As some of you know I have my own project going on, and I'm trying my best to make it worth while. I'm going to dedicate it to my grandmother who has been gone from this world for some time, I feel that I owe it to her. After all she introduced me to the series, We beat OoT together when it first came out. We stood outside till midnight to get Majora's Mask opening night, and we played it until night the next day. I wouldn't be here on this site if it wasn't for her. Aside from my love for video games I enjoy music, I play guitar, and write my own songs.. typically punk/rock. I used to draw all the time, and I think I'm pretty good, though I don't do it much now. If you like Red Hot Chilli Peppers, or the movie Pulp Fiction, you're propably a cool person in my book. I'm pretty easy going, and laid back. I really like it here at the GCN. Everybody is cool, and I've even got to meet people that I've looked up too, and inspired me to make my Zelda hack long before I ever came to the GCN. It wasn't until I read that Voyager of Time was made by someone new to the Zelda hacking scene that I really had hopes of actually making a new hack myself. A few years ago it would have been near impossible for me to do it without help. Heck I've had to get lots of help so far. Anyways I'm glad I'm here and thankful to have met the people I have so far on the GCN.

If you ever feel yourself at loss for inspiration you can always check out Skyrim, and Shadow of the Collosus

http://doperoms.com/dmca.pdf That's only for the United States. "4 first published in the United States or such treaty party, as the case may be.’’; and (2) by adding at the end the following new subsection: ‘‘(d) EFFECT OF PHONOGRAMS TREATIES .—Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection ( , no works other than sound recordings shall be eligible for protection under this title solely by virtue of the adherence of the United States to the Geneva Phonograms Conven- tion or the WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty.’’. I don't think the above is all that it protects. For the sake of not having to read every little thing lets just say that it protects all kinds of media. It say's something about what all other countrys may be protected under the act, but that is litterally the worst page for copying and pasting. Basically if the Country becomes a member of the WTO and adhears to the amendment acts and such. There's a lot to read for the limitations of the act sections 5- 14 maybe someone with more time, and as much understanding of law could summarize this up. I skimmed through what I could as fast as I could. The Law is normally written very vaguely so if need be the rules can be bent in whoever's favor depending on the situation, and whoever "Who" is.. Sections 5-14 should be all one really needs to know. That and what all Country's are members of the WTO and all that jazz.

Nintendo cannot simply "make" laws they are not a country, they are not the UN. When it comes to the fact that you have a rom downloaded off the internet why would it be illegal if you already own the copy? There's no harm, no fowl. You paid for the game, you just have a back up, for your personal use. There's many possible reasons somone would do this. For instance, Wii, and gamecube games load faster off of USB, hard drive, or SD. You could say "I didn't want to wait as long for the game to load". Sure they may have no way of knowing for sure, and you may end up going to court, but you could just bring your copy of the real game to court. People pay money for Lawyers in the most rediculous situations, it wouldn't take a lawyer to explain that you've paid for the game, and you only have a digital copy for back up purposes. It's not stealing if you own it. It's as simple as that.

You can always place elf messages, and have whichever fairy you want to explain things, NPC's and such. Really OoT was one of the first (if not THE first) nintendo games to have as much story as it did, and use cutscenes. Are you talking about the very first Final Fantasy? I haven't played it all the way through, but I wouldn't have thought it had cutscenes. Dragon Warrior for NES. Not much story is given too you at the start, you learn most of it by talking to NPC's. I'd suggest setting up elf msg's wherever you might need them. Set up NPC's that are only in certain spots on the way to the area.. area's you couldn't reach until after you have an item like a hook shot, or something to set off a switch and open a door. Certain bosses talk as well they could be used to explain parts of the story.

Sorry the pictures are so blurry, the pic was taken with a peice of crap webcam. I'd take another of it, or scan it, but she still has the picture. I remembered I had drawn a picture of my ex girlfriend for her when we were dating. It's still on my facebook. FYI, yeah we're still friends

I don't think they have a problem with any of us hacking the older games that are not being sold on shelves. I mean I know a few websites that sell repro carts for Snes, and Nes. One other that sells Game Boys, original, pockets, color's, advance, with custom front light screens. They have to know about what's all going on, they just don't sweat it I think.
-
I don't care if Nintendo thinks it's illegal, or not to hack a game. If they did make it illegal, I would simply go on a web forum site where I don't have to have a screen name, or password. Then I would Anonymously distrubute my rom, or patch on the site. Then other people would take more of a risk then I would to distribute it all over the web.. well as long as the hack was good enough. I can "get" all of the free video games I want all over the web, but I still collect real video games, I've even bought games that are on my Everdrive64 cart. When I get every PS2 game on HDD and hook the HDD into the back of my PS2 I'm still going to buy anything that is worth playing on PS2.

I dunno Shadow Fire. I'd say if they knew how gamers felt maybe they would change their minds, and make the Xbox One different. I'd give it a chance if it wasn't for all the stuff like "connecting every 24 hours" and "Pay a fee to activate used games" I have no problem with the Kinect having to be connected at all times. I don't doubt it will be released with some good games, but I'll have to pass on those, unless something gives with Microsoft.

There's a downloadable HD version of Shadow of the Collosus for PS3. It's been voted number 1 PS2 game on a lot of websites.

Are you guys going to make this hack compatible with the N64?
-
If this hack doesn't work on my N64 I may have to break, and play this on Emulator. And I wouldn't even do that for any of the other cool hacks so far, like Super Mario Star Road.
