Why wouldn't editing the cheat codes into the rom be enough? Since I've became a member at the GCN I haven't seen Spinout here a lot, and I'm guessing it will be a while before he reply's to my message.

It shouldn't be about money anyways.. We all hack games, make new ones out of old ones, and create something we are proud of. We do somthing and breath new life into something we love. We don't make any money, we do it because it's a passion. Trust me even though nintendo has screwed up a lot they are not hurting for money. People make video reviews of games without seeking any money all the time. Why? because they believe they have good judgement, and it can either promote an excellent game, or keep people from wasting their money on a bad one. They enjoy doing it. Now if someone gets paid for reviewing games at a company or a company they own... say someone at Gameinformer or IGN then they have every right to that money. At a company like Gameinformer what you write is judged before it is published, someone has that job because they worked hard to get it, and they probably don't have as much freedom as a Lper would have to choose what they want to review, or not. It wouldn't be considered as much as a "job" I think if people want to make good money they should work hard for it. I don't know much about how Lpers make their money so forgive me if I'm wrong. I'm just making a guess, but hey.. they could be entitled to that money as much as someone who works at a company like Gameinformer *shrugs* What I do know for a fact is that it is wrong for Nintendo to claim money for something like that, they don't claim money from companys like Gameinformer. The main point is, Nintendo shouldn't be getting greedy. They shouldn't be making video games for the money, and they shouldn't be taking money from people who made reviews of their games. Reviews that make them more money anyways. Yes I think they deserve money for making their games, it takes money to make them, they need money to live, they have things they want. They should get that much and extra, but that's not what Nintendo should be about. That's not why they should be in the gaming buisness, but that is what this whole deal with the Lpers is. I don't think it's ethical.

Thanks Seith. I'll message Spinout later and see if he could help me make it N64 compatible

What was so bad about it?

I doubt it is where the items are, but something else. If you want to try though you might be able to move them with the SayakaGL it is like the UoT in a few ways.

Oh so is that why the game crashes when I try to boot it up? I know that some cheats can be put into the actual rom with a hex editor. Would it be possible to do that with the cheat? Who made the hack anyways? I've looked it up and couldn't find out.

I could if I found the speed offset for it. Right now I only know a few speed offsets, climbing up the wall speed, the clinging to the ceiling speed, and the speed that she goes when walking toward link. I'm starting to understand a little how to find where is what in MIPS Assembly from Jason777's notes and mini tutorials that he has posted in different threads here. The speed that she would be getting up off the ground shouldn't need to be sped up though because her health has been increased times 10.6. Plus it's fun to hack at her for the period of time you are able too. Her original health was 0A which equeals 10 so I made her health 6A which is 106. I do want to speed up how fast she can attack, and later I should be able to do that, and change the speeds for other things a little more. I am definitely going to be speeding up other enemies/bosses and giving them health boost as well. Maybe even attack boost, but not as much as a dramatic increase for health as I am doing the bosses. My main goal is to make the entire game difficult, puzzles, enemies, and bosses. I'm just trying to keep it from being impossibly hard.. just close to it.

Is it possible to make the 4 player Zelda hack compatible with real N64 hardware via flash cart? It's something I always wanted to play on my N64 but can't. Maybe someone can shed some light on the matter, and maybe I could even do this with other hacks? If possible I wouldn't release any hacks I made N64 compatible, not without the original creator of the hacks permision. This would be to enjoy at the comfort of my home.

You gotta do better than that

Looks like a hero people could probably relate to more since he seems more like he would be an average person in the world of Zelda, and some of the best story's are about average people who end up as unexpected hero's. Even a few Links from other zelda titles were that way, some were blacksmiths, and farmboys. Others were lazy children.

Evil step mother is here to take away those super soakers

Ohh ok. I should have recorded the speed she was going haha. She "bugged out" litterally, started running in circles all over the ceiling, and wouldn't come down. And sounds good, I will be ready to learn your zelda hacking ways Sensei Jason Sama. *psst* *shows you the tutorial thread* *whispers* This would be a great thing for it. Lulz

Not sure who he is.... but I'm a critc for sure... even of myself at times. I was trying to say that I think Console gaming has it's advantages, but the game is the game even if you experience it a little differently. If I had a HD TV I would be able to appriciate the graphics a little better, but that's not what the game is all about.

I've done some work to the lost woods added fog to some areas, and I've boosted up Gohma a bit. Not as much as I wanted too, but some of her speed values couldn't even be notched up by two, or she would go Nascar fast. The only Speed Values I could increase at all was the one she uses when climbing up a pillar, and when walking towards link. I was only able to increase the walking speed one value higher. I gave her some super health, along with her babies, so she will be a little more fun. I may come back and edit her color, make her eye bigger, and ect.. if I find out which bytes to edit at her object offset for her color. I'm not done with the Lost Woods just yet either, I still have plenty of ideas for it, and Oh yeah the Gohma babies are a little faster too Edited: I forgot to mention the people who have helped me so far. Just want to give credit and say thanks to Giadrsich, Airikita, DeathBasket, and Jason777 I wouldn't have been able to do half the stuff I can now if they didn't help me out.

I've heard great things from the Cd-i game Zelda's adventure. Dude the CD-I games are not what you might have heard. The soundtrack for them is great though. Trying not to stay off topic. Since this is some time after VOT are you planning on making a lot of changes to the overworld? Or are you planning to insert any custom maps for the overworld or dungeons? Asking because I seen your tutorial video on Sharp Ocarina, so I figure you have the know how for it. Well, first post goes over what to expect with the mod, but this is set during Link's limbo in the Sacred Realm in VoT. I'll try and match changes I've done to VoT with the environments and such, but with it being two years after the MS was pulled, there's going to be some differences. I'm trying to see how to change landscape with UoT or ZLE2, but having no such luck. There will be custom dungons, but they will be what I call "naturalized" dungeons. Things like Ice Cavern and Dodongo's Cavern, but on a much larger scale to full dungeon size. There's a reason I'm going in this direction, but I don't want to reveal too many things. Sorry I didn't know if custom dungeons meant old ones with new puzzles and ect.. or if it meant totally new ones. I seen a video on how to do some of that stuff with the UoT, I will try to find it and PM it to you if I can. I kinda forgot what I searched up in youtube to find it.

I hate playing on PC I mean it's just not the same as sitting back in your couch and playing on a nice flat screen. Then you have to worry about the fact if the game has good controller support or not. I just don't like playing with the keyboard. I have Silent Hill 3 for my PC and it doesn't support some of the buttons for my 360 controller. I know it would be a lot easier to play on PS2. For consoles you can pick up a controller and easily memorize the button layout. The controller feels a lot better in the palm of your hands than it would feel to have your hands on the keyboard for hours. Being a console gamer offers a lot of comfort. It gives you that plug and play option so you can take it anywhere with ease. Medo is right though, if you play the game you've played the game, it doesn't matter how. It all gives you the same feels in the end. You can't say I'm not playing my games just because I do it on a CRT TV... I wouldn't say you're not playing yours just because you do it on computer. I do both PC gaming (very little) and console, but if I was a richer man I'd only do console gaming.

I'm looking forward to it. I bet you've learned a few new things since VOT that could be put in use in this next project as well. If you give thought to adding new music in the game hit me up and I'll explain how to use the InstEd. I've been busy learning how to do everything while working on my project, or I would have posted a tutorial on it by now.

If either enough of the 64Drive owners told Marshallh they wanted it enough, or if all of the ED64 guys told Kirkzz to do it, one of them might. I would bet Marshallh would be the first to get to it. Krikzz just released a Famicom cart/Nes flash cart, and I think he's still busy perfecting the mappers, to go from 98% percent game support to 100%. I don't know what all Marshallh is busy with though. If he does it then Krikzz would most undoubtly try to do it afterwards as well. Maybe Chilli Willy (or however he spells his name) would be up to the task. Wasn't he one of the first people to try to make an N64 flash cart? it's been some time since I've read about it.. if I remember correctly he was, but he dropped the project, and after the 64Drive was announced to be coming out whenever, then Krikzz had starting to work on his flashcart, and even got some help on how to do it from Chilli Willy. Just think if we had real time implimented. Someone could add real time into a Majora's Mask Hack and we could play it on our carts
