Ohh god haha working at walmart. There is only one place that can turn someone like Mr. Rogers into a hate factory. I used to be a cashier their, and oh man.. the BS I would get from some people. One thing that comes to mind is this middle aged woman came over with her buggy loaded to the max. I scan everything, bag it up, and even put it in her grocery cart because she is too lazy to do it. Then I'm all like "Your total is 489.75" (not really what it was but it's not too far off) This woman proceedes to hand me 200 something odd coupons, so I scan them all, and out of all of them only three don't work. Only three. I can't fix it, I'm new, I don't know how to manually change the price for the items. I try. She cusses me like a dog, cusses the people who bring my change, and fucking everyone. I was so mad, my whole body started to shake a little. Ooohh I hope I see her while I'm driving one day. I hope I see her, and I have a can of unopened Monster, because I'm going to throw it at her if some higher power ever grants me the chance. I'm gonna throw it, and I'm going to put all of my hate behind it.

Bumping for interest. I never really messed with the sound tool so didn't know that was the case.

Can anyone help me change her color via hex editor? I've tried to use the start offsets for both Boss_goma and En_Goma. I've tried messing around and editing some things, but I can't seem to change her color. What offset do I use? Another question is how do I give her more speed, more health, and increase her attack damage? Another offset list would be nice too, the only one I've found with her besides her object offset listed is this one. http://spinout182.com/mqd/a.html I'm assuming there may be another one.. I don't know, I really don't know anything about it. It really sucks not knowing anything about hexing, and I know it would be a pain to try to explain it to someone who doesn't know all that much about it. I'd really like to try, but I can't when there is no good tutorials... or none that I can find on what I'm trying to do. I just want to know so I can make the best Zelda hack I can.

Maybe they really liked my art lol.. nah they probably just didn't like me, or took it only cause they could.

Rant on haha I haven't drawn in four years other than that one picture and another for someone, I like drawing, though it got to be one of the things I didn't want to do a lot. I'll see if I can draw another one soon, and maybe blow that last pic I drew out of the water. I just never had any real use for any of that other stuff, I wish I had all my high school drawings.... someone stole my binder with all of them during gym class in 10th grade :/ I've scoured my old Xanga, and Myspace to see if I had any on them, and all I could find was this from middle school

I have no idea, I wll see about it. I had started to think I had lost my touch, then I was requested to draw something for someone, and after crumbling a few pages drawn on using the same led pencil I switched to ink pen. Needless to say I still got it I can assume the style you're going for is pretty clean and precise and line-oriented, yeah? You'll want to stick to ink pen then, reserve your pencil for initial sketches and concept art (and realism if you're into that sort of thing :b ) Those look real nice! A little tip for some instant improvement: darken your shadows. A little more contrast would really make these pop Sorry, hope you don't mind a little constructive criticism :0 I like the look ink pen does, but I also like to work with pencils for pictures involving a lot of different tones of shading, and I've never drawn rough draftish versions of pics, or used guidelines or anything I just draw whatever I'm going for. Thanks for the advice though! I just need to practice, and whatever problems I'm having won't be that bad after a while. Honestly I'm not half as good as I used to be, that drawing I did was something I could have sketched up in 5th grade... I just haven't drawn in years and now it's like I forgot all the little things I would do to make the job easier

"Buy like six of these, and just drink the fuck out of it" Hahaha, this made my day slightly better

Yeah and I'd hate to have to ask someone to help me with a bunch of stuff other than some advice here or there. I'd like to stay fully in charge of my project and learn how to do everything. Everyday I'm learning to use a new tool. I can certainly see why OOT hacks, and other projects get dropped all the time. Hex editor alone is kind of disheartening. I won't quit the project. No matter how many headaches I get from it lol. It's all worth it when you see what you've done in the game

Nevermind this double post. I would delete it I knew how.

I will message Sakura, and see if she has the time to help. I figured since Ghoma is the easiest boss to take down it wouldn't do much good to increase the amount of damage she deals unless I can speed her up, so she is actually able to hit the said player. I know Ghoma's actor in the list is "0028 001C Ghoma" but since I only know how to change colors with the hex editor all I see is this when I look it up.. Well it didn't post the picture once I posted it. One min and I'll have it.. Edited: Nevermind I found the MQ Debug actor list with all of the offsets. Now it's time to study up, and see if I can make sense of anything other than changing colors.

This is a great idea I would definitely like to incorrporate into the game. With that said I lack the knowledge to even do it because this would require editing cutscenes Well that can't be right, that Link is in the graveyard in my game. XD j/k And heavy, you can't please everyone--BELIEVE me. Haha yeah this game is really for me. I do hope that everyone likes it, but if people don't like something I really like, and don't intend on changing then oh well.

If I did it that way the soundtrack would come out not as good, and sort of boring. Trust me I'm going to make sure the music flows together well enough. Maybe you will agree after more videos are released. If not then I'm sorry. As for the story I am not going to add everything from Hyrule Historia, only things in it that involve OOT, and even then I am not going to add that much new information. Nothing will be forced into it. Little things will be added here, or there... most of the story is just going to be re-worded and told differently. I appriciate your critism, though I stand firm on the decisions I've made already. Only so little has been done, please give it more time to see how you will like it.

Couldn't say, I've never had that problem.

Yep, I started out just by playing with sequences and I took it this far now. I've just imported the cave/underground grotto music from MM into OoT. I replaced OoT's version of that music with MM's. I'm still going through to see what other music I would like to port over. Deathbasket only has a slight list of instruments tied to a sequence for MM so it's hard to know what really needs to be ported over and what really isn't necessary. Just out of curiosity, what would you guys like seen ported over to OoT from MM? I've already got Termina Field, Enemy, Boss, Ikana Castle, Cave, Sharp's curse, Mayor's meeting, and I can't remember what else offhand. Most of these were actually ported over when I was using mml long ago and InstEd didn't exist. Now that I'm learning a little more, I'm really getting into all this Zelda hacking <--Link to cave theme Wow you seem to know alot more than I did when I started using it. I was basically clueless, and I couldn't really find any tutorials. where did you place the Mayor's meeting song? I was going to place it into the castle where you sneak around the guards and that's some good work. Use the Boss music. I'd like to see it

I never had to do such a thing. To my knowledge the InstEd replaces the music in the sequence you set it too. The mml z64 sequence insertion program should be obsolete now with the InstEd. You can choose which sequence to replace the music in the insert sequence section of the program. on the left you will notice that it will say sequence to replace and the default number will be 2. 2 being Hyrule field Here is a list of area numbers you can use. If you are trying to replace a sequence with a letter in the mix for example: 1D Then you will have to type it like this: $1D http://wiki.spinout182.com/w/Zelda_64:_OoT_Music_Values How did you rip the music instrument list? that will save me tons of time, also what do you use to rip the music? I've just been downloading midi files off random sites Oh and another thing, different sequences have different sequence instrument sets so even if you change it to the instrument set you want it will not sound right. That can be changed by using the instrument set to sequence mapping part of the program https://sites.google.com/site/deathbasketslair/zelda/ocarina-of-time/instrument-sets-and-sequences Be sure to press enter when using that specific part of the program, and there is no need to type it out like 0x03 just 03 Another note is that if you change the instrument set to an area that shares the same sequence instrument set mapping then it will change the music in the area.. not sure if I said that right.. for example if you make kokiri forest have the 03 instrument set, and have an instrument set like this for the song you have just inserted into Kokiri forest 0 trumpet 1 piano 2 bass guitar then it will set the instrument set for Hyrule field, and other areas sharing the same instrument set 0x03 The way I try to get by this is making the biggest instrument set list I can even if I don't use all of the instruments for a song. Then I use the same set for a different song sharing the same sequence instrument set

I'm trying to learn how to make an enemy move twice as fast and deal three times the damage... No clue on where to start doing that
-
Exactly how I felt when I first changed my music. You may still run into some problems, so message me anytime. I've learned just about anything you would need to know concerning the InstEd

I swear when I try to draw with a led pencil all the lines come out all sketchy, and not straight or curved the way I want them to be. Ink pen, and regular pencils are a whole different story. This was my first attempt to draw in a very long time.

I've got an Everdrive 64. I wouldn't mind testing out some hacks for anyone. I wouldn't go with the 64drive though if anyone is planning to get an N64 flash cart

I'm just now getting into the OOT hacking scene, and I'm pretty noobish, but I'm learning and I might be able to help. PM me anytime, Nice art by the way, I have a little skill in drawing myself, but I don't know how to do anything art related on the computer.

It seems to work for me as long as I save and immediately reload the ROM, of course this might not be what you're looking for but I use nothing but PJ64 in my modding unless I absolutely MUST have Nemu. Didn't know it would even do that, and trust me I hate Nemu. Still the way it sounds like you are doing it seems like a lot of trouble, I wouldn't save to the rom until I tested the changes.

I think it's time for a capture card . I may end up getting one sooner or later. If not then I'll just get a mic for my PC and record everything off emulator.
