That's hilarious xD

Lol @ skunk ape xD I haven't had any personal experiences myself other than taking pictures in my dads room while it was really dark and seeing purplish, bluish orbs in the picture. The windows were covered all the way with curtains, and reflective surfaces like TV screens, and ect were not in the picture so I don't know how to explain those. My dad says his house is haunted, but other than that one time I took the pictures I hadn't seen, or noticed anything other than a few creepy bumps, and creaks in the night. So, I remain skeptical about how haunted it is, but he's been saying for as far back as I can remember the place was haunted. It's an old place that was built the 1800's, and supposedly some rich guy that played a piano a lot died their with his wife. My dad claims to have heard the guy playing piano in the basement back when he was a kid living in the place. There's supposed to be other ghost who behave differently, and do different things. One messes with my step sister a lot, turning her TV off, and other electronics on like the alarm clock radio in the middle of the night. One steals things, and returns them placing them in a totally different spot a week, or more later. One knocks bread, and other things off shelves, and counters. This story is super legitimate too. My great grandmother passed away in that house, and everyone believe she still haunts the place, but she's looking after everyone. One day someone tried to break into the house in the middle of day, and my parents own a business on the same street of the house, but at the top of the street. So, when they found out someone was breaking in my step mother calls the cops, and the cops said they were already on the way, and that someone had called the cops from the house phone of the house address. There is no house phone at that house, hasn't been one in years. Everyone just uses cells. Everyone thinks it was my great grandmother from beyond the grave. Thing is my step sister was pretty close to getting dropped off at the house around the time it was being robbed so good thing everyone noticed in time, and someone, a ghost, or not called the cops. Honestly though, I'm not sure how much is truth about the guy playing the piano, my dad has heard it he claims not all that long ago too. I think sometimes they just try to mess with me, and spook me, but then again maybe not. I doubt everyone would be getting together to talk about how they would lie just to spook me.

Let's talk about our creepiest local legends, myths, all things paranormal that have been claimed to happen close to where you live. I don't believe in ghost or anything, though I do find these story's very entertaining. If you don't know of any then maybe you could google some up, or look on this website. http://theshadowlands.net/places/

The Official Post Your Ugly (or Not-so Ugly) Mug Topic
HeavyZ replied to Shadow Fire's topic in The Central Hub
Pretty much haha Yeah that's the only one I have of my natural hair color Le' sexy Blue eyes -
Well I'm focusing on making new music once again. I have two questions for anyone reading this. Would anyone like me to change my WW overworld theme in Hyrule Field to the overworld theme in ALTTP? Or is there a way I can use both songs, one used when child Link, and the other Adult? If no one comments, then I guess I'll just edit this post with some new videos between today, or the next few days. Otherwise new post with new stuff

CloudMax's N64 Texture Packer [v2.3 released]
HeavyZ replied to CloudMax's topic in Community Projects
I'm not that noobie. I'm just saying it will look good on hardware on either CRCT TV's or HD ones once that is released. We have HD texture packs for emulator. And really if we really are worried about resolution, and graphics that much then I don't see why we don't hack, and document twilight princess more. -
That's awesome!

I can't say what exactly is the problem. You should just try to change the music value in the maps scene headers it follows a certain format and shouldn't be too difficult to find We have another good collection of different notes here you can look through, and you'll find this post and others below useful for what type of things you are trying to edit. https://www.the-gcn.com/topic/2471-the-beginners-guide-to-music-antiqua-teasers/?p=40632 So, say you want to change the song in the Ice Cavern to the one of Ganon's songs. You just look up the music value that you want, and replace it with another in the scene header. You can find the offsets for scene headers here http://wiki.spinout182.com/w/Zelda_64_Scene_Listings:_Debug_ROM http://wiki.spinout182.com/w/Zelda_64:_OoT_Music_Values You will see the music value 58 at the address 25CC00F Finding music values for bosses, and changing them will be a little different. I will look up what I can, and edit this post/

Did you insert the zseq data manually with a hex editor, or with the InstEd?
-
I highly doubt that explains the freezing. I have used songs without assigning certain tracks instruments at all leaving them blank because I figured they sounded better without those particular tracks being used in the song even though the data for those tracks were still present when I ported the song in.

Thanks man I had no idea. I feel like a total noob for not knowing that before

Double posting, because I have a new question Jazz or someone who knows about Cen64 might not see otherwise I just learned from Zoinkity that, and I'm quoting him on this: It's doing improper I/O, in other words. The console requires hardware addresses be aligned to even byte boundries (HWs) and RDRAM targets be aligned to DWs (8 byte bounds). (should be DWs, pretty sure not Ws) The HLE emus only use 32bit, not 64bit address. That means FFFFFFFF80000000 is valid, but 0000000080000000 is not (unless you map it). These emus only read the bottom half, ignoring the top, so both are legal. As you seem to have more programming experience than me, working with N64 custom ROM, and you've probably been keeping up to date with Cen64 You wouldn't know if, or how Cen64 will work with ROM's that were only hardware compatible before? And that quot from Zoinkity is referring to why a mario hack won't work on hardware

Oh I see. Yeah, I didn't even know about Cen64 lol (Facepalm) and that game looks pretty cool! I'll have to download it. Chilly Willy is responsible for the new Gameshark support on my ED64, and yeah I'm no programmer either.

Really? What is Cen doing?

SceneNavi - A simple Ocarina of Time level editor
HeavyZ replied to xdaniel's topic in Modifications
Yeah, things like that are why I don't have a PS2 anymore lol. (Wouldn't read DVD I just paid for, and it was my only DVD player) ...Anyways keep it up xdan. -
So, anyone who's tried to do some extensive hex editing would know how freaking tedious it is to copy huge lengths of hex, pasting over, or turning a huge length of hex values into zero's. We've got plenty of programmers here, and most of you are capable of doing something so easy. This is the idea for the tool: Why am I the first person to think about this!?! It would be so useful when relocating things like Audioseqs, or pasting in a new logo, or whatever. Someone, make this happen. No doubt it will be used by anyone who does a lot of hex editing with just about anything

Marshallh, The guy who made the 64Drive, and the soon to come N64 to HDMI board has this running on a stock N64 with an expansion pack. You can download it here: http://retroactive.be/coding.php I haven't downloaded just yet, but as soon as I hit the post button on this thread I am downloading it, and I'm gonna play it on my ED64 Edit: Unfortunately for you guys without a N64 flash cart Marshallh has said "real n64 required"

So pretty sure this is fake, but wanted to share anyways. As a Hopkins fan I thought the whole idea of him writing this was rather amusing lol http://www.dorkly.com/article/55301/anthony-hopkins-fan-letter-to-attack-on-titan

Have you seen The Internship? It's hilarious, if not I'd definitely consider watching it (by whatever means seen fit, ya know since you're snowed in)
-
Do it when you feel like it haha, there's no rush. As long as I can port music without being limited I can switch between that, and editing the dungeons to stay busy. I know I got Tommy! that's supposed to help me, and all, but I took a crack at manually putting a song in the ROM. If the first pointer in the audioseq pointer is 00, then I should have guessed the right one "2" was the 3rd pointer listed. Still I copied the zseq data from my Wind Waker Hyrule Field song, pasted over the same size of hex (My new song is actually shorter than the old one in Hyrule Field) fixed the length in the pointer, and whatever data was left over from the old Hyrule Field song got turned into zero's just in case what I had done already worked and I could use that left over junk as free space for something later, yet when I tried to boot the ROM in Nemu it didn't work, and Nemu crashed.

It's not cheesy. I think we've all felt like that before, and still look up to others in the Zelda 64 hacking world.
-
I feel you on that. My sleep schedule has been screwed up, I will mostly be working on my mod today. After that some good ol' gaming for me, I've been spending too much time socializing online, and not enough doing things I enjoy in real life.

CloudMax's N64 Texture Packer [v2.3 released]
HeavyZ replied to CloudMax's topic in Community Projects
Marshal who made the N64 Drive is supposed to still be working on the N64 to HDMI board. I haven't been keeping up to date on that though, so for all I know he could have finished it, or put it on hiatus. In the meanwhile there's the RGB mod for Pal N64's, which is not a problem it being pal if you modify the spot where the cart fits in, or you could just get an N64 Drive, or ED64 with a Pal shell. I think I'm gonna wait for that HDMI board though lol -
That's awesome, just having help with that would be great! I'll message you later on once I have time.

Looking for help with my project, if you wanna be a part of it. I would be extremely motivated again if I could get some help. Specifically I'm looking for people and help with these things: A writer to help write the dialogue and text - There's a lot of text! Someone to port models with xdans Model2N64 tool once he finishes making it so that new models are hardware compatible. Though it doesn't have to be the same person I'd like someone who can make models as well. This position has been filled by Tommy! And mostly I need someone who can manually port the music I've made. To manually port the music you would need to use information in this thread https://www.the-gcn.com/topic/2369-audioseq-and-code-notes-debug/?do=findComment&comment=44392 Edit: It would also be awesome if someone was willing to edit some animations, and speed values for a few enemies, and was able to find the speed values for enemies/bosses that I cannot provide values for. I do have a small list of enemy speed values, but it's not all too big. Jason777 is helping with the speed, and health values. I still need someone who can do animations.
