Yes. That is a valid point. It is the only mask with a possessive noun tacked to the front of it. Contrast Goron Mask with Majora's Mask. The Mask might be the belonging of some demon/god/wizard, or whatever else have you. It's really all up in the air, but Majora is probably a female.

Fi. I probably stand alone on this, but I was not once annoyed by Fi. I personally thought she was a great character altogether. She was synthetic, but that was part of her character. She never quite came out of that, but her character did change. Navi, though... nothing redeeming. At all. I felt nothing when she left.

Though this is an official page for the Project, I have yet to touch it myself, and it's not yet entirely representative of anything in the final product. I am mostly speaking of the screenshots.

Majora is a woman, plain and simple. The Mask is just a Mask with muscular growth, it doesn't represent a gender, but the voice does.

Hurmble grurmble... possibly. Team Midli, yes. But the fued for whose body goes to which head will remain... I think it would look cooler with Medli's head on Midna's shoulders.

The point is we -can't- put her in that situation. Unless you want a fanfic, or a fangame. Which I would be all for, but I just don't see the more appealing solution to be viable. You know what I mean? It'd just be fair to compare Midna to any companion besides Navi, and Medli to any other major support character. Probably Ruto, but we have had enough "Ruto and x, who is better?" topics, so even though they both serve similar roles (unknowing sages, you escort both through a dungeon...) that just wouldn't work either. But there are plenty of 2D characters out there, and whether Medli is 2D or not, she is probably the best of the 2D. If she even is that. Which I don't think she is. Just me, I'm known for my stubbornness.

A quick, short update for everyone interested. The team and I have been accomplishing quite a bit in the past few days, and things are progress faster now than they have in the entire lifespan of the project. Plus, the extra motivation for all of you interested goes a thousand miles, too. A lot of critical decisions have been made, and I hope you all enjoy them once we are ready to show off a bit of the project!

The thought never crossed my mind. Anyway, I will combat your point soon enough. I haven't played either game in ages, like I said, and I need more examples to back my claims. So it is a stalemate between you and I as of right now, because I am still for Medli.

The entire thread seemed to focus on the visual aspect of the characters, and personally, Medli is just a lot easier on the eyes me me. Rito are just fucking cool like that. As for aspect of characters, we can go into that terrain if you want, because my stance on Medli is still completely and totally retained. For me, my perception of Midna is very rocky. I like her. She's cool. But she was a complete dick to you in the beginning of the game! Not cool to taunt someone locked up in your Twilight realm. Not one bit. Medli, however, she is all around a pleasant character. Her personality appeals to me -me- more so that Midna does. I tend to go for the nicer bunch than the bunch that taunts me on a regular basis. Being taunted isn't the most fun, I'd like someone helpful that doesn't go out of their way to make you feel bad in the process. But that is also a strong point for Mida, as well. She starts off like that, but it sort of wears off. I honestly can't judge if she is developing as a character through the story, or is just opening up to you. Either way, I prefer Medli. I never said Midna was bad. I just personally think that Medli is a good bit better, in just about every aspect on my personal opinion scale. She is one of the most pleasant, coolest characters out there. Medli is the shit. And all this is coming from a guy who hasn't played Wind Waker in like, 4 years and is very foggy on most things that happened in the game. Shut the fuck up, I lost the game disc. ;-;

Medli didn't have a baby body, though. She was like, a preteen. Somewhere around 10 or so? I forget. But it is far beyond a baby. And tiny neck? It was pretty average sized for a Wind Waker character. Better than a fucking giraffe, that's just unattractive.
