  1. • • • Another Withered Rose... --An Ib Roleplay • • • A young, tall man pushed open the large double-doors that acted as the entrance to the Museum of Art. He had traveled a considerable distance to reach this particular Art Museum, and this could be seen in his purple, dashing eyes. He took a few steps forward, his long, stormy blue jacket trailing behind him in the wind, a gust of wind blowing through just before the doors closed behind him, his stylish, shaggy mess of lavender hair blowing through the wind. He quickly moved his hand to his hand, holding his hair down as to avoid any discomfort that would come from wind blown hair. As the doors finally closed behind him, he placed his hands in his pockets and let out a sigh of relief. "Looks like I'm safe now," he muttered to himself, smiling a bit as he made his way deeper into the museum. He moved his eyes from the left to the right, taking in the sights of the first room of the museum. He noticed a family of three by the ticket desk, a man and a woman, accompanied by a young girl in red, perhaps in her early teens, he couldn't really tell. "Ticket," he thought to himself, realizing that he had completely forgotten to purchase a ticket for entry into the main exhibit. He pushed his way forward to the desk without a worry in the world, a light smile plastered on his face.

    This or That?

Speakers. I would say headphones, but those went downhill with the invention of earbuds. Why those eardrum ravaging things are so popular I can even fathom. Retro games or current games?

  15. The masked man stopped in the center of the marketplace, gazing blankly forward. He turned his head ever so slightly, indirectly laying his eyes on the red haired man from afar. He turned away quickly, heading for the exit of town, his pace quickening a bit.
  16. Elsewhere... The hustle and bustle of people frantically running across paved over roads, from stand to stand, trading away their precious valuables for an small assortment of gold pieces, each with the proud Ikana Royal Family name plastered upon each of their faces. One side of the coin bore the face of the benevolent and loved King of Ikana, Igos du Ikana. The other was a lovely depiction of the Ikana Castle in all of its glory. A man with long, black hair tossed a pouch filled with these coins upon one of the stands, this particular stand selling an assortment of weapons and other battle aids. Shields, Potions, Arrows, you name it, this stand had it. As he threw the pouch onto the counter, he gestured to a shield hanging on the back of the stand. The face of the shield was of a reflective, sturdy metal, with a distressed face depicted in the metal by whatever means. "This should cover that shield easily," the man stated in a deep, raspy voice. The sword merchant looked up, taking the pouch into his hand. He quickly noticed the mask placed upon the buyer's face. The mask was made of a beautiful, high quality gold, in the shape of a beak, of sorts. It was not necessarily the beak of a bird, as it was not nearly detailed enough to be specifically of a bird. It was simply a beak. The eyes of the mask held a deep darkness within, no apparent eyes upon the man, but they were most definitely there, hidden beneath it. "Check the money," the buyer quickly said, various jewels chiming as he moved. "It should cover the price of that shield," he stated again. The merchant quickly undid the bag, having snapped out of the trance he had been put into when he examined the high quality mask. "Yes, yes, right away, sir," the merchant said, his words slightly jumbled from the excitement. "Yes," he stated after dumping the coins onto the counter. "This will definitely cover it. It's yours." A short laugh could be heard from under the mask. "Yes, I had thought so. May I take the shield now?" He asked, waiting patiently for a response. "Yes, of course," the merchant said, taking the shield from the wall and handing it to the masked buyer. The dark haired man quickly turned away, taking the shield into his hands and walking away at a decent pace, his loud footsteps echoing through the marketplace. "Thank you for your business, friend."
  17. I completely understand your position on purpose of life. It makes perfect sense. It's just me, being someone that believes he has a purpose, I don't take it so literally by the definition of a purpose. It's something I strive to accomplish, I strive to make an impact. That's how I look at purpose of life.
  18. I find comfort in having a defined purpose in life, myself. I am not religious in the slightest, I prefer not to care about this, as I am a proud Agnostic. I find more value in my finite existence knowing that I have a purpose, something that truly makes me happy and impacts others in a very good way, and it bothers me slightly being told by someone else that my life has no purpose. But that's just my two cents, not trying to stir any more things up, it's just my personal feelings on the matter. That's all. I believe that I have a purpose and nothing is going to shake me of that belief.
  19. My purpose in life is to make other people happy and myself in the process. There is nothing that thrills me more than putting a smile on someone else's face, even if doing so was of considerable cost to me. To those that are important to me, I would do anything to brighten their day. That is what my purpose is.
  20. Sweet deal! I, for one, am in.
  21. Are you still going to be doing this challenge even though the deadline has already been missed? Because if you're going to extend it, I would definitely take a crack at it.
  22. There is not a single doubt in my mind that this is a SSB ripoff, but you know what? I could give less of a shit. It really doesn't matter to me either way. A game is a game. There's a reason I own a Playstation 3, an Xbox 360, and a Wii and love them all equally. Why? Because they all have games. I love games. I don't love companies, I love games. That's all that matters to me. And if one company ripsoff another game, then good! More fucking games for me to play. I couldn't be happier. That's just my opinion on the matter, so I'll be playing this game sometime.
  23. Alexei sighed under his breath lightly, turning away from Ives and slowly moving away from the crowd. "The thing looming above is quite the twist, indeed," he stated in simple affirmation, his heavy step echoing from the brick walls surrounding. He lifted his hand in a gesture of farewell. "Pleasure to meet you, Ives. But now is the time for me to leave." And with that... he was gone, almost vanishing in thin air. But that couldn't have possibly been the case. The masked boy by the base of the tree sighed exasperatedly, tightening his body into a more compact ball, rocking slightly as he fiddled with the assortment of rocks and pebbles by his feet. He lifted his head up silently, running his masked gaze over the four boys running in an endless circle around him. He thought about something for a moment, and whatever it was, it made him sink back down again, lowering his gaze yet again. "Friends, huh? I have no friends..." He stated quietly, his voice trailing off.
