Primordia. Picked this game up on Steam a few days ago, and played through it completely. I fell in love with it. Beautiful adventure game, with incredible characters, mind wracking puzzles, immersive story, and a very realistic outcome. Not your run of the mill game. I highly recommend this game, because it has earned a spot in my list of favorite games. OFF TOPIC: Plus, the main character is voiced by Logan Cunningham. In other words, Rucks from Bastion. Kind of an orgasmic voice actor.

I believe I bumped into this several years back, and I even downloaded the thing and got it working. However, at the time, and that specific project (assuming this isn't the same one), was not finished, and didn't seem to have much work continued on it. But seeing as the video posted on that link was just from last year, I'd say this is a fairly recent development/update! I am actually pretty excited to hear about this again!
