  1. I just thought it would be neat to have a topic where we cool post some cool shit we found at our local flea market(s). I'll start this off Today I found multiple stands with stacks and stacks of SNES, NES, and N64 games! I had come looking for N64 add-ons (I was dreaming about finding and N64DD) and had quite the success today. At first, I had purchased an official N64 Gameboy Transfer Pak and an official Memory extension both of which plug into the N64 Controller. I had also purchased another N64 for modding/portabilizing purposes. I spent $30 USD for it all. It was probably a rip-off but I was pretty excited at the moment. I also noticed a Rumble Pak and an NES Light Gun in one of the boxes filled with retro games. I didn't bother to buy either. Later I decided to go to another retro gaming stand and sale the N64 I had just purchased earlier mainly because I felt like I needed to put some money back in my wallet. I hadn't bothered to notice that there was an official N64 Expansion Pak plugged into the N64 where the Jumper Pak would normally be. By the time I had noticed this, it was already too late; the guy who worked at that stand was inspecting it and testing it out with a Majora's Mask cartridge. I doubt he had any idea that Majora's Mask required the Expansion Pak and that he had chosen that game to test the system was merely a coincidence. At that moment, I noticed the beauty of it all and how I had somehow missed that important detail. He offered me $15 USD for the system while I tried to think of a way to get the expansion pak out of the system. In the end, I realized that taking the expansion pak out would cause the N64 to not be able to play any games since there was no jumper pak to replace it. I didn't want to rip-off the guy so I just accepted the offer without any complaint. I looked on ebay later to see that expansion paks alone sale for up to $30 USD. Being a good person sucks! 2. Great job on this, DL! I've never ever ventured into texture hacking as it really isn't my style but, nonetheless, this is awesome
  3. Has anyone ever put up a difference chart in a byte for byte comparison between a gold v1.0 and a normal gray v1.0 ROM? I have a gold and gray cartridge, that is why I ask. EDIT: I also found this thread: http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=10&threadid=31476 You could ask the thread creator to dump the ROM since I believe he has the means to do so.
  4. Sounds good. I always like Alice in Wonderland as a child.
  5. Tell you what, if you can understand this guide, I will go ahead and write a tutorial on getting textures animated http://www.the-gcn.com/tutorials/article/4-ootmm-hacking-with-c-and-asm/
  6. It's not that I'm being mean, it's more like it's hard to explain... Which means I'm only being lazy
  7. Wow, I had no idea about this feature... Thanks, I will update the guide!
  8. You don't use Google SketchUp. I would explain, but I doubt you (or many others) would understand if I only made a short explanation. ...And I don't really want to make a long explanation.
  9. I hadn't yet seen this... SayakaGL rewrite? Awesome
  10. http://forum.unseen64.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=911 ^ I thought this was already released? If not, don't mind me

  12. Really, all you have to do is... : Port the display list(s) of desired items over to Young Link's ZOBJ (Hookshot and Bow are trickier...) Fix the item highlight tables for said items to be selectable as Young Link Fix the item usability tables for said items to be used by Young Link. Fix the Corresponding Young and Adult Link display list tables for said items. Links :Highlight and Usability tables : https://sites.google...-item-usability Corresponding Display List table : http://wiki.spinout1...otes#Link_stuff I asked this same question... : http://z64.spinout18...topic,84.0.html... 13. This is completely badass... 0.o I especially like how there's more than one world (Hyrule and Termina)! Not to mention, that Link model you're going off of looks quite spectacular. I will be waiting for more!
  14. I'm quite interested in what has been done with this project so far How goes it?
  15. According to spinout, it actually does work on VC, Sang.
  16. I actually went with a friend to do go dumpster diving today We found a couple of XBOX 360 games... all were shitty sports games. My friend decided to take home Madden '09. To our surprise, it worked. On a lesser note, we did find a bunch of giftcards and reward cards. I serously doubted there was any money or value to them so I threw them back in. At Best Buy, we found a bunch of broken phones, including: iPhone 3G HTC Evo Samsung Galaxy S
  17. Trust me, man. All tutorials are useful.

    Zovldis and nOVL?

Oi? Someone else is interested in this area of hacking? I'll gladly give you a download for zOVLDis at another time. For now, though, here's a Win32 binary or nOVL: http://www.mediafire.com/?cr6wr5abiie58n7 ^^ Thanks goes to DeathBasket. If you need help with nOVL and writing actors, I can give you links to a couple of basic actors made by spinout and myself. For zOVLDis, DeathBasket would be the one to go to as he has worked with it more and has alot more experience with assembly than myself. At the moment, I have a download that has my first example actor which contains ALOT of comments. It also contains nOVL: http://www.mediafire.com/?kftdymmu6u4h39q ^^ The actor is in the folder "ovl_en_example"
  19. Wow, this actually sounds really awesome. I'm wondering if this would be for the PC version or the Xbox 360? Either way, it doesn't really matter to me since my Xbox is flashed with JungleFlasher -- this means I can play burned games. And if it's for the the PC, my brother's computer can handle it.
  20. This is the support topic for the tutorial OoT/MM ~ Hacking With C and ASM. Please post here if you have any questions or feedback.
  21. Nice data you got there You should probably go put it on the Wiki: http://wiki.spinout182.com
  22. Damn, I can't even remember the last time I played Sonic and Knuckles Nice run!
