Thanks to SubDrag! -Fixed the invisible plants Eurocom bug in the China shortcuts! -Fixed also the Gimpee car logo! -Arcade original blue sky for every track in the Cruise The World mode except for the Moon! -Arcade original musics for Germany, England, KenyAfrica and Egypt! The Moon change the music to Shifter, the Germany music according to the Eurocom, according to me instead with it's "galactic" notes is more appropriate for the Moon! Like I thought, the riadkill is still present in the N64 porting, but I don't know yet if is complete. http://datacrystal.romhacking.net/wiki/Cruis'n_USA_(Nintendo_64):Notes For now you have to set a code to see how it works, without the right 3D models and textures unfortunately. Someone know if there is a way to found the 3D models in the game without have to read them from the memory dump? Should be useless otherwise if the 3D models aren't yet loaded in ram... Does exists then a tool to explore the 3D models into a rom? Cruis'n USA is uncompressed...
  3. Someone else know at least in the uncompressed WAD in which file is stored the mapping? Or otherwise controls mapping structure in an N64 wad? Maybe I can search matches with an hex editor. I want to re-map the D-pad to use it to control the left analog stick, is necessary.
  4. Sorry but I can't understand, that tool can map buttons in the WAD to install the virtual console game on the WII?
  5. I want to map Cruis'n USA WAD D-PAD to control analogs, like with the emulator Project 64, 'cause in the N64 rom, the D-pad buttons does not work correctly. There is a way to force the D-pad to use analogs or a way to switch D-Pad to analog with the WAD structure?
  6. NEW! Patch for have arcade names for the 6 renamed cars! Venom SST, Humee ATV, Lady bug, Sexium, El diablo and Gimpee instead of Serpent, ATV, Scarab, Stallion, El Nino and Sardine Extreme! Tried to keep eurocom font for the logos. that patch also renames also KENYA and RUSSIA track with their original arcade names that are AFRICA and MOSCOW and the OST ASIA MINOR, real arcade name is NOBLE SAMA.   8. N64 Cruis'n World more closer to the arcade version! IMAGES: (click to open the spoiler) BASE ROM: Cruis'n World (U). Italian-american collaborations with SubDrag hacker (Very thanks to him 'cause he made the bigger work) here is an improved Cruis'n World rom by a lot of reasons: - Pure Cruise mode difficulty (not Championship) is now faithful to the real arcade version - The trophy girl have all her random costumes like in the arcade - Starting girl now have her original costume and a more visible smile - Obstacles now are flatting like in the arcade, before hacking were like a traffic car, same effect for the race... - Restored original arcade car, tracks and songs names! - Arcade original blue sky for every track in the Cruise The World mode except for the Moon! - Arcade original musics for Germany, England, KenyAfrica and Egypt! The Moon change the music to "Shifter"! - Fixed the invisible plants Eurocom bug in the China shortcuts! Unfortunately are present also few bugs for this function, some object that have to flat couldn't do correctly or couldn't bend totally, for your race the effect is the same but you'll see them remain in their position, like you trespass them, maybe the problem was that Eurocom not finished their animations... Difficulty became altered due to the multipliers activated after every victory, 'til a maximum of 5-6 victories, step by step the rival cars became faster and not was possible clean them, now the game still load them in a new game with 5-6 victories, but if you lose the emulator and reload the savegame once will not reloaded again, and will not reloaded after new victories. Cruis'n World have now a different feeling, more closer to the arcade version, but the project can't be considered finished, remains to do: - Restore GIB routine copying the discovered beta leftovers for all animals and add 3 missing static animals - Restore race vocal announces (impressed into the rom as sounds, but need ASM for set them) - Restore Hawaii waterfalls - Fix finish line coordinates (are too advanced) - Improve the crowd at the finish line (have to be random) - Restore fire in ATV turret when you press the trump and change ATV & Orca cars 3D models like arcade ones - Improve flatting animations for objects that don't bend correctly - Restore president ending If someone would help can send me a mail to ema89acquario@live.it, priority goes to GIB and race announces, but every help is precious. And set original clean rom options in the emulator or will not recognize the savegame and will erase it if you have one started with clean rom, create a safe copy of your original savegame before start this hacked rom and fix the options also for save your game also if you start a new game, otherwise your progress will be lost.
  9. Ok, the ASCII string is a the offset h5EAA0 of the european PAL version and the routine should be near on left or right.
  10. UP at the first post I asked help with the roadkill function, can you please check with a debugger the ASM about RK SECT text?
  11. Please can you help me with the censored roadkill feature? I have found the TEXT STRING with the hex editor, that says: "RK SECT NOT VISIBLE" and in opinion of my friend this routine starts at the beginning of the rom when played. RK maybe is for RoadKill... Can you help me please with a debugger?
  12. Hacked the Virtual console WAD! Now I've the uncensored trophy girl on the WII, without lag and with the cool resolution of the VC channels.
  13. Don't work, senspal loads a strange palette, that is wrong.
  14. There is a way to find specific palettes and textures on Cruis'n World? I would edit the starting flag girl, the trophy girl and the crowd at the finish line.
