Programming follows a syntax just like English (obviously being intertwined with numbers and not /looking like any native tongue/), huehuehue

I am aware. I meant in relation to elaborating how general MIPS works like through this or some source of the such with source files: http://spinout182.com/mqd/ You know, general understanding of reverse engineering Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask with mips rather than hexadecimal. One thing I have noticed in the Nintendo 64 hacking scene, the mass majority of individuals are bad motherf--ers who hack and/or modify roms in, as stated above, hexadecimal which I personally find more difficult than working with any given assembly language. Makes more sense to me I suppose. The general concept of hex is more simplified while it may be harder to get the general picture of low-level languages (with no prior programming) but progressively makes more sense at a rather quick rate. I'm sure my buddy Jason777 can vouch for me on that. Sorry, getting off-topic in your own thread, lol. Just is an exceptionally good proposition.

Way to contribute to the community, comrade. Mapping even a few actors will be of much avail to new(ish/er) modders and hackers in the community. Perhaps you should also demonstrate as to how you go about locating such offsets via a YouTube video. I would, but I'm only productive at night, and I'm sure no one wants to listen to a rambling drunken guy.

A job well done to you

Yeaaaaaaaah, I pointed that out myself, heh.

The above is how I feel about my first actual program

You'd insert images and links the same as pretty much any other forums with brackets (i.e. http:// , and reverse engineering in general isn't easy without prior knowledge (even difficult at times with it). If you're talking about two dimensional Sonic The Hedgehog games, then I will gladly direct you here for information. As for Super Mario 64 information, I don't really quite know where to direct you for like a "database" of information. However, I did dump the os functions for the game and here is the official function reference manual. Perhaps someone more Mario 64 savvy than myself can direct you to a lot more information other than messiaen's site. Sorry if I'm coming off as an asshole, just trying to be of avail.

You still need to further elaborate upon your idea. There are several big-ish modifications generating at the moment. As Jason said, you also need to state your skill level before anyone bandwagons. The Nintendo 64 hacking/modification scene sees hyped up, crazy project propositions all the time and I'd say 70%+ of the time they don't even touch 10% completion.

I'm a personal friend of Jason's, he won't mind. I was looking for the second link with the lzou research he posted. In order for me to view the folders, I need to upgrade my mediafire account.
-
Yeah we do! You know where to get a hold of me.
-
Jason, do you mind uploading that elsewhere for me to be able to download it? Mediafire is shit

I also asked an in-depth question that you may or may not fancy. Figured I'd update you nonetheless! http://cen64.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=84

My child, I shall pass this message on~

People should really just go by the best general rule of thumb in the Nintendo 64 hacking scene: don't release mods until they're finished or nearing completion. And I offered my assistance to no avail as we haven't conversed but whatever.

ZZT32/mbr made this video and released the source YEARS ago.
