Yeah, my name is also because of an unintentional misspelling. That's really strange that people wanted to make your username closer to another's... That's really interesting. You'd think that a username that is just a single word would be more common than a rare occurance. I understand that it is possible that someone else coud of thought up the same name and happened to end up mispelling it as I did when I first started using this name. It just makes me feel really weird, especialy because of something that happened to me in the past.

Have you ever stumbled across someone else using your username on some other website, online game, etc? How do you react or feel if you know you had the name first? What if you find out they were the original? I've been using this username for many years now (sometimes without the underscore since some sites do not permit it), and I've run across this a few times, where people have taken on my username. I personaly feel weirded out when i see it. My username is misspelled... why would someone copy my misspelling? It's just so weird for me to think about. So yeah, has anyone else ever experienced this?

I have a grey 1.0 cart as well. My parents got it for me used years ago. I think I read somewhere that there were more grey 1.0 carts then gold ones, but I'm not entirely sure.

Thanks for the links sakura. I've actually been following a newer version of the tutorial in the python documentation at http://docs.python.o...rial/index.html I've got as far as section 5.5 Dictionaries. What I've been finding is that the tutorial does a good job at showing what each function etc. can do, but my issue is that I don't feel like I'm being shown how to use things they show. I'm looking for something along the lines of http://learnpythonthehardway.org/book/ except for python 3.x. It's difficult, because I can't use any of the 2.x tutorials because Python 3.x is backwards incompatible. I collected a list of different tutorials I plan to check out in the near future, I hope I find a suitable one. As for the Blender link, thank you, that looks exactly like what I need.

I've come out of lurking to ask for some advice. I am interested to learn to program with Python 3.x. I already have everything set up to get started, I just need a good beginner friendly tutorial. Most of the tutorials I find online are usually for Python 2.x which won't work, because they changed how things worked in Python 3.x. So if anybody could point me towards a good Python 3.x tutorial, it would be greatly appreciated. (Also if someone could point me to somewhere I could learn how to use Blender 2.6x, that would be great as well, though Python is the main focus.)

So I've been lurking this site for about six months now, and finally decided to introduce myself. So, hello, I'm shadow_sculpter! You probably won't see me post too often, being a lurker and all, but I do check this site almost every day, because of all the awesome projects here. Who know though, my lurking habits might change at some point. (I have a lot of profile views for only lurking, 1227 views?)
