Agreed, it is fun, but I find myself so frustrated with beating enemies sometimes that my sister yells up to me to shut up XD

Well what I meant is this:The child timeline has more incarnations of Link than the Adult's due to the latter's Great Flood. Due to previous statements about the trilogy being earliest now deemed false (and 100% confirmed to be false due to Skyward Sword's placement), it's always been so perpelexing to give it a proper placement on the child timeline. The Oracles Duality has had a similar issue in which you can play either first, so it's impossible to tell which is truly first, though most place Seasons before Ages. It's clear that where ever it is on the timeline that the FS Trilogy comes afterward due to the presence of the three Oracles from said duality, and them mentioning having moved from their respective lands. The Realm of Memories takes the Four Links back to 2 eras of the child timeline- the A Link to the Past/Link's Awakening era, and the Legend of Zelda/Adventure of Link Era. After completing said levels, you acquire the Master Sword. As far as I'm aware, the ALtttP/LA era is usually placed after Twilight Princess, and the LoZ/AoL Era after that. To me this means if those exist in the Realm of Memories, then the Oracles Duality and Four Swords Trilogy must come after LoZ/AoL. This is just how I see it intergrated into the series canon though. One more thing I need to consider is the Four Sword Dungeon in the GBA ALttP. If I consider my above theory of the timeline, then somehow, at some point in the trilogy, the Four Sword was sent back in time and splitting it into four separate swords, all by some dark magic of sorts. I'd personally blame Ganon for that, but meh...still needs some thinking through. If all this gibbering doesn't really make sense, feel free to disagree.

At least you're not making CUPCAKES.... *shudder* -
Well, then Hwody to you too then, BollockDS! I also know nothing about hacking, but love seeing the progress on all the projects here, so here I stay. Enjoy yours.

What are we showing kids these days?
Okami Takahashi replied to Tell-Tale Heart's topic in Randomness
Gotcha. I shall now proceed. Incoming rant!I am honest to God appalled at how awful my favorite childhood show has become. It used to be very realistic and stuck close to its origins as a children's book series. For those still confused: I'm ranting about Thomas the Tank Engine. The original series had episodes mostly based off the original stories for about the first 4 Seasons (most of which were based on their book counterparts), but in Season 5 deviated away from the book roots, and became slightly more unrealistic. (Indiana Jones-style boulder chases with trains, anyone?) But it's at the hands of the current owners, HiT, that have made this show just unbearable. They now stick to a rigid 3 strike formula, which can be easily changed up just by changing the job assigned and character. Here's how it rolls now: character gets "special special", fouls up 3 times, goes back to fix whatver they screwed up, and everyone laughs at the end. Another noticable thing is the bad gammar ("I feel badly"), overuse of rhyming and repetition, hollow, undeveloped characters being constantly introduced to make merch of, a severe lack of the characters' original personalities, and worst of all, no sense of realism or logic for a railway. I.E. leaving the workshop while being worked on, nearly causing the men to fall off their ladders and be seriously injured. Just for comparision of the original kinds of stories and new formulated kind, here are two episodes, the pilot of the first Season (shot back in the 80's with models), and the closing episode of the most recent (rendered beautifully in CGI by Nitrogen Studios in Canada.) Nitrogen's animation may be beautiful and the animators may love the classic series and original books, but the writing really lets them down. And there we go, this is why I prefer the original Railway Series books today. The latest one was actually published earlier this year, and definitely blew the now-craptastic TV counterpart out of the water. End rant. -
LoZ Songs with Ocarina of Time Instruments

Finally, I get a bump Very good idea. But before I start work on that, does anyone know where I can find the Majora's Mask soundfont? I'm in the mood for an upgrade since MM has some instruments not heard in OoT. -

Question: Are we limited to just nightmare fuel-ish things, or can we post other things that we feel are inappropriate for children to be watching? If the answer is the latter then I've got a good example of how a beloved children's show went down the toilet in the past few years. No I don't mean Spongebob or FoP. -
I have a couple I use on OoT (I have no plans to buy OoT 3D.) A < > ^ A > < ^ < ^ > v > < ^ > I probably had a third but have forgotten it.

I somewhat agree with Ganondork, it technically isn't theirs anymore if they just leave it there and have absolutely no plan to return to grab it. Free stuff!

I'm curious, since this version of Four Swords is updated with new content, such as the Realm of Memories, would this version be considered canon to the trilogy or no? I think if it were, it could give the trilogy and the Oracle duality before it (as the Oracles moved in from their respective lands in Minish Cap) a proper place on the child timeline: after LoZ/AoL (as it seems to be commonly thought that LoZ/AoL takes place after ALttP/LA). Feel free to disagree with me, since I'm honestly not entirely sure about this.

I never had the original 4 swords nor knew anyone else with the game, so this was a rather nice treat. It's not a traditional Zelda game, but I'm enjoying it nonetheless.

Not mine, but full of win:

Sounds like an interesting project. I'd probably go with Young Link for the dungeon. I know its kinda possible to import MM sword's into OoT, so I'd probably used the Gilded Sword and retexture it to resemble the Four Sword, but then again, what do I know? I have no experience with this stuff, I just enjoy seeing hacks. Good luck with this, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

Many thanks, Zeth. I was getting a bit weirded out by my previous desktop, a picture of Maru giving his owner a kinduva raep faic. Maru:[i watch you.]

There's a difference between the swastika and the manji, Ganondork. Swatiskas are positioned differently. Anyway, moving along, who's up for good old fashioned Brawl snapshot? "And with his Almighty Falcon Punch, Captain Falcon created the universe!"

From what I read, all the voices in SF643D are in fact the original cast brought back together, which brings me to an interesting point... The voice actor of Star Wolf in SF64 is Rick Mays, who also provided the voice for the loveable and possibly crazy TF2 class member: The Soldier! Coincidentally, the voice actor of TF2's Engineer Class, Grant Goodeve, provided the voice for Star Wolf in Star Fox Assault.

LoZ Songs with Ocarina of Time Instruments
Okami Takahashi replied to Okami Takahashi's topic in Music
Hope this alright to bump my own thread here... I've been listening to some fan compositions by "DerpyHooves" (yes, I'm somewhat of a brony), and found a couple that stuck with me: Twilight's Sonata, and Temple of the Two Pony Sisters (which I personally call Temple of Equestria, because it sounds cooler. ) I decided to redo the latter's midi with OoT Instruments: Remember Okami, my longtime character I entered in the Ura NPC Contest? Well, that's him as a badass pegasus. I was bored ._. I did the former's version with OoT instruments too, but decided it would sound better with Pokemon Gen IV instruments: Don't really plan anymore of these, I'll be back to the Zelda music soon. I'll upload the Fire Emblem songs I did with the OoT soundfont at some point soon too. -
Okie...at the risk of being flamed somehow, I've got another Trainz shot to show off. Turned out quite good. Don't you just love childhood memories?
