As I understand, you guys are going to swap Link with the Hero of Light, so I know this can be done, but how? Not to mention I've seen some videos of people playing as Mario and Samus. What tools do I need and where do I find them? I'm interested in playing around with Links character models for both child and adult Links just for kicks. Plus I'd like to see what the adventure would be like playing as a different character. To keep things simple, I'll just start with character models that are already in the game / rom, like Zelda for example. OFF TOPIC: Hmmm, that would be interesting playing as Zelda now that I think about it. After all, the series IS named after her.

That's............really cool actually.
-
LOL!!! Exactly. I'm just drunk enough to agree.

I definitely like TotalHalibut's take on this better than Mike's.

Instead of typing, I find it easier for both the reader and the writer to simply host videos. Now I know there's a lot to watch here, but please believe me when I say it'll be worth it in the long run if we all join together and fight these jerks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaoDIqoyX9Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJIuYgIvKsc

No triple arrow texture in Majora's Mask?

I'm pretty sure it did, great now I have to check, LOL. -
How to fix your gaming systems av cords.
Сʀɪѕɴ replied to
dekupk5's topic in The Central HubI've done that before. The real challenge is doing this with a usb cord. Trust me when I say, it sucks. I had to do that with my Logitech Rumblepad 2, boy oh boy what a pain. I got it to work though. -
No triple arrow texture in Majora's Mask?
Сʀɪѕɴ replied to Сʀɪѕɴ's topic in Community Projects
LOL!!!, I guess I failed to mention a point in this. Basically, making the image isn't the hard part, that's easy, the hard part, and the one I'm inquiring about, is the name of that file in MM. As I posted above, the single arrow icon/texture's name/id tag is "ZELDA MAJORA'S MASK#98ACC8AC#0#2_all", and the double's name/id tag is "ZELDA MAJORA'S MASK#53B24B58#0#2_all". My question is, "What's the triples name/id tag if there is one?" Edited original post to help get rid of the confusion. -
Someone must love TeamFourStar? 'cause that's how I first found it, LOL

Now I'm pretty sure that there's a triple arrow texture in Oot, and I'm fairly sure that there's one in MM as well, but with recent searching for a triple arrow item EVERYWHERE, lol, I can't seem to find one. So does anyone know if there is one for MM? To simplify what I'm talking about here........PICS! error, where's the triple? If anyone does know if there is one, could you pretty please post the name of the image. For example... ZELDA MAJORA'S MASK#98ACC8AC#0#2_all ZELDA MAJORA'S MASK#53B24B58#0#2_all Thank you very much in advanced, FYI, I'm doing a bit of a texture mod for MM for personal use, the regular one not the Debug.

So how would 0x05 look as a gameshark code? 8011FB40 0005? Because that only speeds time up, by a lot. ( I don't know jack about how gameshark codes work ) ( About the only thing I know is hexidecimal for example, 10 = A, 11 = B, 12 = C, etc. )
-
Interesting. Thanks for the input.

Thanks for finding those cheats, but the weather cheat doesn't work and the Time Speed Modifier doesn't slow time town, it only speeds it up.

Like I mentioned earlier in my last post, I've been playing Oot recently with High Quality textures, but there are a few problems. 1) I want to play the game with HQ textures AND with the aspect ratio hack of Jabo's plugin. 2) I would like to play the game with the "Bloom" shader, but it crashes all of my emulators. 3) Rice's plugin messes up the pause menu, badly. Sometimes it takes forever to load, most of the time the menu's glitched really bad. 4) I like to be able to choose "32-bit signed" in the "Depth Buffer Type" option under the Direct X tab of Rice's plugin. ( Because I have an Intel chip and some textures don't load ) I heard that the URA team is going to release a custom emulator and possibly a custom GPU plugin? Is this true? For the most part, what I'm trying to ask here is: Is there a GPU plugin that is basically Mudlord's Rice Video Build 6.1.4 / 6.1.3 - DX9 WITH the Bloom shader and Aspect Ratio hack built in? ( As well as the option to load HQ Textures. ) Would you need a special emulator to use such a GPU plugin? *Note: I've always used Project64, but Mupen64 is starting to grow on me, and I'm not a big fan of 1964.

Disclaimed Fan Projects are illegal? (Read more inside)
Сʀɪѕɴ replied to
PJC92's topic in General GamingPersonally, I think that regardless of if we think it's illegal or not, it would be worth mentioning that to Nintendo and Miyamoto, it is illegal to them. So perhaps as a measure of "better safe than sorry", I think Zeth and his team should start covering up the URA project and keep it hush hush before the big "N" catches wind of URA's potential. It would really piss us all off if URA were to get so close to a release and then get shut down by Nintendo's ban hammer o' disappointment. Just my two cents. To the URA team: I think a good step would be to move all of your YouTube videos to the forums and delete whatever is left on YouTube, or maybe even "say" that URA's been cancelled to stray any of the big "N's" dogs off of your trail. Maybe even make the forums inaccessible to the public unless they register an account. I really don't want all of our patience, anticipation and your hard work go to waste because Nintendo has a point to prove. -
Hey all, I've been playing Oot time with High Quality textures, and I really like the way the early morning looks. Problem is, it only lasts like 5 seconds. I know there's a code that stops the time, but I was wondering if any of you hackers may have found something that simply slows time down, by a great degree hopefully. *Note: To have time slow down to real time would be too much, even a 12 hour day would be too much. I think maybe a 2 hour day would be just about perfect. 15 min for the morning, 45 for the day, 15 for sunset, and 30 min for night, provided that I think it's Summer time in Hyrule during the game. *Note2: Plus some weather would be nice, I mean really nice. I love it when it rains. *Note3: Is there a way to get time to slow down and make it rain randomly with perhaps a gameshark code?

I actually liked the sand better than with no sand.

LoZ Songs with Ocarina of Time Instruments

I'd like to hear something from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. -
Cool, thank you for the info. It doesn't REALLY matter to me that you guys are using the Hero of Light. It just caught me by surprise that's all. At the very least, I hope players have the option of right or left handed Hero of Light. Like I said before, it throws me off sometimes playing as Link because he's left handed. Cool beans though. I was WAAAAY off as far as how complete the mod is. I was under the impression that you guys were about 80%-95%.
-
Questions? Don't get me started, I have TONS, LOL!!! I think I'll just do my best to stay patient and wait for a release. *Edit: Well I guess I DO have some questions that I'd really like to know. •Roughly what percentage do you feel you guys have completed the mod? •Will the Boomerang have an upgrade like the Hookshot or earlier games? •Will the young Hero of Light at least have a metal shield like in Majora's Mask? Personally I like playing as young Link, but the Deku Shield killed it for me. •Will the young Hero of Light have sword upgrades like is adult self will? ( I'd like to see that ) •Most importantly, will we have the option to play Right Handed? One of the biggest things that seriously annoyed me when playing Zelda is that Link is left handed..........but....I'm....right handed. It just throws me off. And I have to say: At first I was really disappointed to find out that you guys were replacing Link with the Hero of Light from BS Zelda, then I started to really think about it and I might just be able to adapt. Although I will stick to the idea of the Young Hero of Light wearing a baseball cap. That's just so..........90's. Maybe swap that with no hat? Or perhaps spiky hair? IDK, I digress. Whatever you guys choose is fine, after all, it's about the gameplay.

Hey all, just wanted to stop by and say hello. I couldn't help but notice that you guys have an admin that goes by Crimson Wings. I assure you no intent of identity theft was in the works. If my name becomes a problem, I'll gladly oblige. I'd also like to say thanks to the GCN team for all of your hard work so far on the Zelda URA mod. It looks really good so far and has certainly been in the works for some time. If I could have either quality or time efficiency, I'd go with quality, so no matter what anyone says, please take your sweet time and make sure this project is done perfectly to your specifications. After all, we've waited this long, what's another year if needed? I've done mods myself for a few different games such as Halo PC and GTA SA as well as some custom maps for COD4. I've also modded some things in Pokemon Fire Red and Borderlands for personal use.........meaning I never released my mod you pervert, !!! I have fair knowledge of how making a map works, VERY basic knowledge of 3DsMax ( if any at all ), fairly good with music/sound effects ( I mostly use FL Studio just for fun ), and unfortunately hardly any skills as far as scripting goes. If I can be of any help to the project just let me know, I'll see what I can do even if it's a small part. I DO know some people in our gaming community that are pretty good with scripting, so maybe I can get a hold of them for you. I understand how strenuous modding can be, let alone one of such massive scale, especially since this is a ROM mod which in my opinion is fairly different than a PC game mod. Plus I hear you guys had to make some of your own tools, dang, I couldn't do that. Not to mention your seemingly infinite well of patience for some members of the Zelda community that just o' so love to trollolol. By the looks of it, you guys aren't just creating a mod, but basically creating a whole new game. To sum, I'd again like to thank the team for all of your hard work. May the tri-force be with you?
