I could have been much less profane, I'll admit. Oh well, though, this is just my style. (thanks to BullockDS, who helped me tone it down a lot through PM)

I now use this: (this is both the best, AND most beautiful controller I've ever used)

Saints Row 4 Australian release date mysteriously pushed back on Steam
Conkerreplied to Aussiezoom's topic in General GamingKind of douchey that Australia is taking such a route after getting an adult rating in their system. Honestly, are adults in Australia not allowed to enjoy fucking anything? Also... Why Do You Type Like This After The OP, but not in the OP? Sent from my iPhone, because Siri has my manhood in her purse... or something. -
But the games already have blood. Making MORE than just a few enemies bleed isn't going to give it an M rating. :| Sent from my iPhone, because Siri has my manhood in her purse... or something.

He's so semen-y. :x
-
They made him look like a he's made of globs of transparent semen in the 3DS version.
-
I guess I see what you're saying, good point. EDIT: Well, I was much younger than I am now when I made that. Not that I like blood (like, have a weird fascination with it), it just makes kills in a video game more satisfying for me.
-
I feel the same way, and kept saying the same thing in the other thread. I feel people are getting the wrong impression here. I just want to see any creature capable of bleeding, bleed (and bleed blood that is colored to match what they are, of course). Y'all know that red sparkle effect when you slash enemies in the games? Just a few particles of blood to go with it, is all. What I have in mind is the blood animation that plays when you kill a Tektite in TP; it's subtle, and not over the top. But boy, does it make killing them more satisfying (for me, at least).
-
Because it isn't animated, which is kind of a stupid reason. Sent from my iPhone, because Siri has my manhood in her purse... or something.

What could/should/would Nintendo do to save themselves?
Conkerreplied to I M Evil's topic in General GamingFair enough, bb. -
Ah! Thanks for reminding me: this guy blows up into a giant pile of blood and guts when you defeat him.

EDIT: When I say I want all enemies capable of bleeding to bleed, I do not mean over-the-top blood, and gore. I just mean subtle effects, is all. Here, let me just slap my latest post here: "I just want to see any creature capable of bleeding, bleed (and bleed blood that is colored to match what they are, of course). Y'all know that red sparkle effect when you slash enemies in the games? Just a few particles of blood to go with it, is all. What I have in mind is the blood animation that plays when you kill a Tektite in TP; it's subtle, and not over the top. But boy, does it make killing them more satisfying (for me, at least)." I just want there to be a certain level of consistency, is all. And quite frankly, a little blood makes my blows with a sword feel more satisfying in a game. Meh. So, this seems like an interesting topic of discussion. Apparently we can't have blood in a Zelda because it'd be too realistic, or something. Well, see, it's not about realism... it's about consistency. Why do I say that, though? Well, Zelda games have a pretty bad habit of allowing a few enemies to bleed, but the rest however, to not. Look, I'm sorry, but it's either all (organic) enemies bleed or they don't. There's no ifs, buts or arguments about it. The fact enemies behave as they do in this manner, shows major inconsistency in the design of these games. Pretty much, it's a design flaw, and nothing more. If it was intentional by the developers, it's STILL a flaw, and STILL makes no sense. Not to mention, the game features sword combat. Last I checked, swords kind of tend to fuck with a creature's veins, and you know, kind of... tear them open, along with the skin, to let blood escape. ANYWAYS, because I feel it's necessary, here's a list of all Zelda games (that immediately come to mind) which feature enemies that bleed: Twilight Princess: Diababa: Yes, you know when you attack Diababa's eye? Blood sprays out of that fucking thing like crazy. You can even go check for yourself. Tektite: These enemies, upon being killed, spray blood out of their eyes. Not making this up, go check for yourself. Wind Waker: Dexivine: Upon killing these enemies, they spray massive amounts of blood everywhere. Ocarina of Time: Ganon: When you're finishing him off, slashing away at his face, particles of blood are flying all over the place. Ganondorf: He vomits up blood, people. A color change from red to green also doesn't make it normal vomit, either. It's still blood. Shell Blade: Those clam creatures, in the Water Temple. Yes, when you kill them, a cloud of their own red blood surrounds them. The Well: ...is almost literally painted with blood in certain locations. Some enemies release tiny particles of green/purple blood upon being attacked. Some. Majora's Mask: Some enemies release tiny particles of green/purple blood upon being attacked. Some. I think there also WAS an enemy that had a more graphic display of blood in the game, but I cannot remember right now. So, in the end, would it really be so bad for every single enemy to bleed when you attack them? No, no it wouldn't. In fact, I'm 100% supportive of 3D Zelda games ditching this inconsistent design flaw.

What could/should/would Nintendo do to save themselves?
Conkerreplied to I M Evil's topic in General GamingDouble post, because Tapatalk is giving me issues. Moderators feel free to fix. Neither do I. Blood effects have nothing at all to do with realism, too, in case you didn't know that. A lack of blood is also not necessary to stick with. Also, nobody ever said a lack of blood wouldn't make the game good (like me, who just said it'd make combat funner, and you can even read my posts if you want to prove that). Also, nobody ever said anything about emphasis on blood, either. I even said it shouldn't be over-the-top like in other games.Deathbasket:I'm still not seeing what's so immature about mild, lightly-used (as in, it's not every message box, and is hardly ever done in the game) cursing. Or cursing in general. At the end of the day, they're just words. That's all they are. And when used sparingly, I literally don't see the issue.Sent from my iPhone, because Siri has my manhood in her purse... or something. -
What could/should/would Nintendo do to save themselves?
Conkerreplied to I M Evil's topic in General GamingNo, it doesn't need it to be mature, you're right. Some people just like to see more common mature themes (whether you like it or not, blood and mild cursing are more common in today's society) in their favorite games. And I already explained how a small amount of blood makes gameplay funner for me, and there's literally nothing wrong with thinking that. And I'm standing behind my statement of how stupid it is to give one or two enemies in the game blood, but the rest (clearly organic enemies themselves) no blood. It's stupid, it makes no sense. It's either they all have it, or they all don't. That's all there is to it. Sent from my iPhone, because Siri has my manhood in her purse... or something. -
Yes. Sent from my iPhone, because Siri has my manhood in her purse... or something.

Yeah, thanks. Glad to know it's better to just play it on my Wii. Also, damn. You should try and play the game more one day, if you are ever able to.

DOWNLOAD HERE. Get it. Tear it apart. Find goodies. Though, I guess it is only a few months old compared to retail, but you never know... Also, I found it here. They seem to be finding interesting Dinosaur Planet-related stuff, as far as I can tell, anyways (haven't bothered reading too much/thoroughly). Really, though; anyone here interested in tearing this thing open? And I mean, as much as humanly possible with it? I also played it myself (tried on Dolphin, didn't make it past Rareware logo, plays perfectly on the Wii), and it has a few demo areas: Ice Mountain ArWing Thorntail Hollow It even has the full game in it, for some reason (selectable option, called "Play Full Game"). I guess at the time of E3, it was completed. Well, mostly: I've noticed there is no voice acting in the full game option (or any option, for that matter), and I haven't made it past Krystal's section, so I am not sure what else is missing.

Yeah, then no duh it's not going to bother you. Anyways, Microsoft is going to lose a lot of customers. Who, though? Low income families that eventually discover they're paying double/triple/quadruple/whatever after MS makes the switch. They're gonna check those credit card statements, and... BAM! I'm sorry, but MS is a really sleazy company. They literally do not know what the fuck they're doing, at all. Sent from my iPhone, because Siri has my manhood in her purse... or something.

http://kotaku.com/xbox-live-family-subscriptions-convert-to-individual-ac-1099325395 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. OH GOD, MY FUCKING SIDES. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You know the BEST PART!? This is LITERALLY DESIGNED to fuck over families who stay on the 360. Fuck off and die, Microsoft.

What could/should/would Nintendo do to save themselves?
Conkerreplied to I M Evil's topic in General GamingAnybody remember those Dexivine enemies in Wind Waker? When I cut those fuckers up, they spewed their green goo everywhere. However, whenever I slash away at, say, a Moblin, there's nothing. Just this weird energy comes out, as if they're bloodless creatures filled with sparkles. I'd love to see blood in a Zelda game on all enemies. It makes me feel as though my weapons have more weight to them, or something. I don't know exactly how to describe why, but it's more satisfying to kill an enemy that drips blood rather than energy. So I'd love for blood to be a common thing in Zelda. Not overdone, of course, but still done. If you know what I mean. As for cursing, well, I still think it's a good idea. Things like crap, damn, hell, piss, bastard, you know. Not fuck, shit, bitch, or whatever. -
What could/should/would Nintendo do to save themselves?
Conkerreplied to I M Evil's topic in General GamingYeah, a darker Zelda really does sound like a good idea to me. Like you said: Mild cursing, blood, and what not. I'd also appreciate other darker themes, as well as (shoot me if you want) less color in the game. Not by a lot, but not so vibrant like SS and WW, more like TP. Also other (moar other) darker themes. Link is always trying to save somebody, yes? Well, why not switch it up a bit? People are so used to him succeeding with the rescue, so... The person you're trying to save, be it Princess Zelda, or some random childhood friend-type character (think Illia, or SS Zelda), should die. Not brutally, mind you, but should die. Think about it: you just cleared the first set of dungeons, and you're going to the villain's lair to save person you need to save, then as you're ascending the flight of stairs, the girl stairs at you with a big smile of relief as the villain is holding her knowing she's going to be saved, then it happens... the villain lunges his weapon through the front of her chest, and the only thing he says about it is, "Whoops... a bit clumsy, hrm?" This enrages Link, and he charges towards the villain, but gets thrown back by some kind of magic, villain escapes. The second half of the game is now about revenge, rather than saving a loved one/princess. Anyways, just throwing out what-ifs for a darker Zelda, that's all. I personally love the idea (as well as the scenario I presented), but I bet some people will only approach the idea with, "Wow, no thanks. That's too dark for Zelda." Know what I think of that? Get over it. Change is good. And this particular change, mind you, is definitely good. I want a darker, grittier Zelda. I don't care what people think. It would be for the better. That's all there is to it. Okay? Okay. -
What could/should/would Nintendo do to save themselves?
Conkerreplied to I M Evil's topic in General GamingHrm, I didn't get any heat. Then I will step it up a notch and say what I truly think: I hope they pull a SEGA. They've been making bad decisions with the Wii U, and I'm just not too fond of the console (it looks good, but besides a few games that are coming out for it later, it doesn't interest me too much). I'd rather have all of my favorite Nintendo characters/games on Sony's consoles (a result of pulling a SEGA, they'd be software-only, their franchises would go third party, multiplatform), mixed in with all of Sony's awesome characters/games. Basically, what I'm saying is, I want all of my favorite console-exclusive games on one platform. And Nintendo pulling a SEGA would give me that. -
What could/should/would Nintendo do to save themselves?
Conkerreplied to I M Evil's topic in General GamingI'm going to get heat for this, but I would not at all object to Nintendo pulling a SEGA. At least for home consoles. They're doing just fine with portables. -
Thanks for being vague. >.> It totally came off as you responding to question in a smart-ass way. :| Well then. But, see, it's kind of the same thing, cartridge system or not, old or new, etc. It's as bad for NES/SNES/N64 as PS2, GC, etc. Well, one more time won't hurt: sorry.
