The Wind Waker effect/feeling/whatever anybody wants to call it seems pretty lost to me with the absence of cel shading. Whether they add it in later or not, I don't know. All I know, is they actually showed an HD remake of Wind Waker without cel shading. That's kind of a major WTF thing to me.

It's a shame, indeed, that they're going out like this. But, can I be honest? You could have written this much better, as it's kind of a mess. You also liked your own post. :S

If it was a Virtual Console title, it would not be a remake. It would just be classic Wind Waker.

Good point. However, if the bloom sticks... you have to admit that'd suck. I'm not one to care about graphics, but when graphics hurt my eyes, meh. D:

Some people hated TP's overuse of bloom. But people will LOVE the abomination that is this game's bloom because it's Wind Waker. xP Don't get me wrong here, I mean... it looks great, but as xdaniel said, the charm is gone. Major overkill on the bloom, too; it ruins it. :/ A TP remake would have me feeling the same, but this is still nice. If they toned down the bloom and brought the cel shading back, the charm will return. But meh, don't see them doing it. Shame. I honestly don't care, since I am in pure disbelief we'll ever see MM remade in any official form. I hope Nintendo proves me wrong, though.

Yeah, I had a WTF reaction to that, as well. Not to mention, they literally mentioned NOTHING about bringing good ol' N64 Virtual Console to the Wii U. They mentioned how in the future they will bring GBA, and how the Wii didn't have it but the Wii U will, so that makes me think... is the Wii the ONLY Nintendo system that will have N64 VC, at all? Are they actually set on keeping it on the Wii only? Not even the fucking 3DS has it, and it would be perfect for it. UGH. EDIT: One thing I also noticed is how their HD Wind Waker doesn't even look to be cel shaded? I mean, the character models look normally textured, just with the usual next-gen shaders thrown on. The water seems to still I have the look, though. I think at least.

So, they completely skipped MM 3D and went straight to Wind Waker on the Wii U? Wow, just wow. What are they doing? Remaking Zelda games people consider the best of a console? That means, I'll never get my HD TP, GameCube or Wii version. Same with never getting an MM 3D. Nice one, Nintendo.

I'm sorry, but judging by this thread's track record, I can only assume you have negative intentions in asking me this. So I'm not answering until I know why you want to know.

I never said it was, though. D: I just really wish they'd do more with it. But yeah, I'll be patient. I'll give the rest of this year waiting for anything Star Fox.

If anything Star Fox is not announced, I'm giving up on Nintendo. I'm sorry, but that series has been in limbo for far too long, and I'm fucking done waiting. The only thing that can make me stay a Nintendo supporter is if they announce a Star Fox game, or if not, they announce a Zelda. (and it better be a fucking nice Zelda, or no dice)
