Not necessarily. Just because they're both running on the Source Engine, doesn't mean they would give the exact same results. Team Fortress 2 is a much newer game, whereas Half Life 2 is years older; the newer game using more stylized visuals, and is more optimized for better hardware. (probably not, but it's just a guess) But anything is worth a shot. So yes, try downloading again and see what happens. I hope it ends up working for you! Maybe we can play sometime.

Look, I disagree, for more than one reason: Some people may have a problem when their kids are afraid to go to sleep because they've had too many nightmares, and know they'll have another if they sleep. This happens to a lot of people if they have too many nightmares. No, man. There are plenty of people "giving a crap" about things like pollution, the war on drugs, war on terrorism, serial killers, serial rapists, and scary things like that(I felt I had to make more examples than you did), a lot of people. Parents have a right to be concerned for their children. Yes, if my kids kept on having nightmares that could scare the ever-loving life out of them, I would worry about them watching Spongebob, and take the show seriously. There is my argument, you are free to make a counter-argument.

Well, that is pretty odd, and I am not sure what could be done. Maybe update your graphics drivers? Or who knows, your netbook may be better than others, but it could be possible that it has bad comparability with the game. That is all I can think of, hope I helped in some way.

Are you getting any error messages? Are you using Steam or a standalone copy?
