  1. Great job, Punk! I'm having fun with this new soundfont, and I'm looking forward to whatever you're cooking up next.
  2. EDIT: welp, I've been shut up but good.
  3. Well, I can definitely say that all this'll be interesting in the end, one way or another...
  4. -Marth: really? If anything, since Marth's the FE mainstay, I would think that Ike is far more likely to be eliminated than Marth, and replaced by Chrom (the bloke from FE: Awakening). This would make sense, seeing as Roy was the newest protagonist around the time of Melee, and lost his relevance around Brawl's development time (where Ike was the newest FE protagonist).-New-Mewtwo: I could see him replacing Lucario, unless a NEW "that" Pokemon is introduced in X/Y.-Star Wolf: As much as I'd like Falco (the more blatant Fox clone) to get kicked, Wolf is probably the more doomed one due to popularity. As I've said, though, the survivor NEEDS a different Final Smash from Fox (Christ, at least Mario/Luigi already had the dignity of different Final Smashes in Brawl).-ROB: seeing as Nintendo's massive boner for the NES is calming down, I can easily see ROB going bye-bye.-Ice Climbers: considering they've survived two Smashes in a row and have been considered iconic since, I think it'd be somewhat hard for them to get the boot.
  5. EDIT: Yay! Not only is it successful, it also met the WiiU stretch goal! I super can't wait for this now!
  6. -SNES: Super Mario RPG -N64: Majora's Mask (via Everdrive 64) -Wii: New Super Mario Bros Wii (used to play NewER SMB Wii, a hack which I highly recommend if the last couple NSMB games left you feeling unfulfilled) -PS2: Final Fantasy X -PSP: Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles -GBC: Mario Tennis-GBA: Minish Cap -3DS: Ocarina of Time 3D ('cuz I like to play with sequence breaking... leave me alone) -Genesis: Castlevania Bloodlines -WiiU: Donkey Kong Country Returns -Virtual Boy: VB Wario Land -NeoGeo Pocket Color: Fatal Fury: First Contact
  7. http://www.warpzoned.com/2013/06/congressmen-propose-we-are-watching-you-act-an-anti-kinect-bill/ http://gengame.net/2013/06/gamestop-no-longer-taking-xbox-one-pre-orders/ Well. These could prove problematic. EDIT: NO REGION LOCKING; NO RESTRICTIONS ON USED GAMES; NO ALWAYS ONLINE/24-HOUR CHECK-IN
  8. (Apologies if this doesn't belong here; feel free to move this) For you movie viewers of the GCN, what would you say are the worst films/movies that you've seen? To that end, why did you find those films so worthy of disdain? (Note that I'm doing 5 movies here, but feel free to post more/less in your lists) #5: The Room (2003) #4: Birdemic (2008) #3: Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009) #2: Highlander II: The Quickening (1991) #1: Project X (2012)
  9. @giadrosich: Don't let it get to you too much. He just seems like a dipshit Xbot who happens to have a job in a game store. To play devil's advocate, consider that GameStop is in the business of selling games and consoles, so naturally they don't want employees seen shit-talking the big MS to customers on company time, due to fear of scaring away sales of a console that isn't even out yet... especially if a Microsoft/GameStop partnership emerges for the XBone. Granted, that's still not a good excuse for trying to drive off a customer's interest in the WiiU ('cuz that's still potential profit for GS regardless of brand name), and I still think his store deserved a phone call considering the circumstances.
  10. Well. This is getting comical at this point.
  11. But Mr. Game and Watch and R.O.B. were when they got in? And Pit before KI:Uprising?Oh, and Pacman has a new game and cartoon coming out. What's this about "irrelevancy"?Listen, I'm not trying to say that a Tales character would be terrible, or that Pacman NEEDS to get in. What I am trying to do is address certain arguments against Pacman.
  12. No Touch Screen Controls Final name is "Super Smash Bros. for WiiU/3DS" No Plans for DLC so far; the game will be faster than Brawl but slower than Melee About the limit on third-party characters: I'm fine with it. It's supposed to be a primarily Nintendo game, after all, and the third-party characters that do make appearances are few and have a significant connection to Nintendo. If you want your Goku/Naruto/etc, go play Jump! Superstars/Ultimate Stars or a fanmade Smash game. Oh, by the way, Pac-Man was a fighter in Street Fighter x Tekken, and even outside of that, he's got moves from games like the Pac-Man World series. Plus, there are a lot of characters in Smash who have little to no background in fighting ability (Fox, Cap'n Falcon... fuckin' R.O.B.). Finally, Pac-Man has a helluva lot more name familiarity than the Tales series and its characters. Oh, and Pac-Man already has a history of Nintendo crossovery (Mario Kart Arcade GP 1 & 2). So, basically, expect Pacman to have a better chance of appearing in Smash Bros than a Tales character.
  13. Exactly. The Smash team has always added that one total surprise character in each game, with each sequel's "surprise" character out-WTFing the last: SSB64 had Ness, hailing from an RPG that not many people outside of Japan had heard of/played at the time (not that "WTFish", but he's the closest I can think of for SSB64). SSBM had Mr. Game and Watch, who beforehand was just a generic multipurpose character silhouette used for old G&W handhelds. SSBB had R.O.B, a notoriously impractical NES accessory. (Although, it seems Wii Fit Trainer isn't a hidden character unlike the others, which is all the more reason why I think she may not be SSB4's "WTF" character).
  14. ...yeah. The announcement they teased some 15 minutes before that. Right, let's move on. I'd like to know if Sonic will be in again! Mario vs. Sonic vs. Mega Man would be awesome! Remember, Nintendo has that deal with Sega for upcoming Sonic games, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Sonic again. That way, we can finally see who the superior blue mascot is.
  15. https://twitter.com/nintendoamerica/status/344528016719896576 So, um. Yeah. GOTY, ALL YEARS Seriously, I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this is an awesomely batshit character choice. I thought R.O.B. would be esoteric in Brawl, but this tops that. Just wish they'd save her as an unlockable, unless Sakurai has ideas for unlockable fighters further out of left field.
  16. IMO, Sony wiped the floor with Microsoft, especially with them directly calling out Microsoft on their bullshit at the end. It was almost art. I mentioned this earlier in the Shoutbox, but the singular thing that I can commend MS for at E3 is their heavier focus on gaming for the XBone.
  17. I'm actually interested in getting a Vita, but I wouldn't want to get one yet unless at least two of the following happen: a: Price drop b: Final Fantasy X HD actually comes out c: non-PSP-based CFW and homebrew arrive on the Vita (maybe we'll finally get decent portable SNES and N64 emulation)
  18. That's awesome, I've recently gotten into Iron Maiden m'self:Iron Maiden-Fear of the Dark
  19. Maybe try hosting the picture on a site like imgur.com? That site's simple, free, and quick.
  20. That's too dangerous! Warner Bros might sue you for copyright infringement, but you won't have enough money to pay them, thus you might be thrown in prison and get iced by White Power Bill and his shiv fashioned from a cafeteria tray after being falsely accused of being a snitch.I plan on watching Arrested Development on Netflix with my girlfriend tonight.
  21. Books are ridiculous, worthless, unnecessary relics blindly worshipped by the baby-boomer generation and the previous generation, helping to reduce the presence of digital advancements in society. Reading a work on paper has absolutely no benefit for learning over reading the same works as a digital medium. Oh, and papercuts. I feel that schools should stop whitewashing and politically-correcting history classes.
  22. That's too dangerous! You'll upset the balance of the universe, wherein a paradox is fabricated in the pure chaos of imbalance, causing all that was and all that ever shall be to be consumed in a fathomless dark singularity, forging an eternal prison of nonexistence where nary a particle may be born. I'll make some delicious banana bread in a toaster.
  23. I sure ain't getting One. *ba-dum-tissh* But seriously: I think this thing needs to die a quick, humiliating death. Also, I'm betting that the always-online functionality was actually present in test builds until recently; with that being said, I bet (i.e. hope) they'll have to scramble like mad to be able to finish the initial retail model, ending up in a rushed, hacked-together mess where most units will fail in a short period of time (hmmm, sounds familiar...).
