  1. Thought I'd say, Zelda DID win. They haven't updated the page, but Zelda won. Congrats, Zelda and the Nintendo Team! The critics may be harsh, but the fans prefer your game!
  2. The percentage was up a few days ago, and I want to say... Don't worry too much On Thursday last week the vote was 31% to 69% in Zelda's favor.
  3. Is it me or has a lot of people jumped on the Elder Scrolls bandwagon recently? Morrowind never received this much attention and it's probably the best Elder Scrolls that has come out. Not saying that Skyrim isn't good, just saying that compared to older ones, its not as revolutionary. Skyward Sword, however, is different. Yeah, its still a Zelda game following a similar storyline (Only Majora's Mask has -really- strayed) but it used the controls well and changed the gameplay. The dungeons are more challenging, and so are the enemies. You can't just slash at an enemy, you actually need a little bit of skill. I remember in the first dungeon when I was trying to kill a Skulltula and it took me 15 minutes to find out. At the same time, its not overly difficult either. While you're trying to kill the Skulltula, the game doesn't have the Skulltula trying to attack you. It's Zelda but different at the same time, while Skyrim is basically a copy of Oblivion with Dragons and better graphics. Voting Skyward Sword
  4. So, today (Nov. 16) is Miyamoto's birthday. (And psst... It's mine also!) This year (2011) he is 59 and doing well. Wish him a happy birthday even though he'll never know!
  5. OoT held its throne for 13 years, great job OoT. You'll still be remembered. What I really like, is the 40-50 hour storyline. Really looking forward to it!
  6. Link is Link, guys. You cannot argue that a game could be better if the protagonist is younger or older. I don't care either way, as long as Link remains Link with his attire and gift of Courage.
  7. Just... Don't come to NY, man. NY is not the greatest place; just saying. Anyways, good luck, man! Hopefully the lottery plays in your favor!
  8. I honestly disagree with this whole "Spongebob" thing. First off, its a cartoon image of a squid. There have been plenty of other cartoons aimed for kids that have been far worse. Have you ever seen Rocko's Modern Life? In one of the episodes, Rocko and Heffer go to a carnival, a stereotypical carnival at that, and one of the rides was literally called "Elevator to Hell." Used the word hell and everything. In ANOTHER episode, Heffer actually GOES to hell, though its called Heck in the episode. Honestly, political correctness has gotten us to a point where even funny parts in a movie that only adults would understand in a childs movie can't be shown anymore. Honestly, I like looking back on movies like Toy Story and seeing the adult references in them. Toy Story had a "Kiss-ass" reference within the first 10 minutes. Regardless, I laughed at the Elevator to Hell when I was 4, as well as my brother and father when I showed it to them at a later time. Of course my mom would be a little weary about it, but she didn't say I couldn't watch the show or anything. The point of a cartoon like Spongebob is meant to make the viewer laugh, and if the viewer can't laugh at it and takes it seriously, then they need to learn to get a sense of humor or just not watch the show. But in any case, political correctness at its finest. And besides, our true fear should only be of Australia, for this reason only.
  9. You guys haven't beaten Zelda 1 and most haven't beaten Zelda 2? I actually did finish both, and attempted a NDR of both Zelda 1 was really not all that bad, as long as you picked up the heart containers as soon as they became available, and NEVER get the damn potion. I died I think 6 times, which is okay, I guess. Zelda 2, on the other hand, was hard UP until the final (and I mean the real last enemy you fight) boss. I sort of liked the RPGness of the title, too. What I don't understand is how people can do NDR's of it with lvl 1 attack D: I may pick up Zelda II to do again, I do own an actual cartridge
  10. I already posted that issue in the tracker, xdan
  11. Great hack, DeathBasket! I always wondered how to mod it so the bosses don't drop heart containers, care to share?
  12. So... Camp ended on Friday, and with that, I've changed a bit. I'll be straight; I'm not interested in modding as much as I was before. I dunno why, it's like my new friends changed me unintentionally. They're hella great people, don't get me wrong, but they changed me. I'll try to get back into the hacking scene, but no guarantees. If push comes to shove, I'll still be active, but none of my projects will get completed. I don't know why I have a change of heart, but I do. And if anyone's interested in my experiences in camp, I'm going to be posting a... journal type thing http://core.the-gcn.com/public/style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif
  13. What the hell did I just watch? Damn you, China!
  14. I TOLD YOU TO NEVER SPEAK OF THIS INCIDENT! D: (But still, it was pretty funny ) But in any case
  15. I wish I lived in Europe so I could get a PAL Luigi's Mansion; the Hidden Mansion in the PAL version is insane.
  16. The N64. Ocarina of Time was one of my first games, which encouraged me to get Super Mario 64 and Majora's Mask. The N64 also holds my favorite games, such as Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, and Gex 64. My brother (who isn't into Nintendo games anymore, and prefers CoD for some reason...) and I used to love doing team death matches together and beat the crap outta Lvl 9 NPCs. Other games that I enjoyed were Glover, Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, among other things.
  17. HUGE change of plans on my part. I was basically offered a full time job as a camp counselor, which I believe I will take. Paired with that, many of my projects are not going to be worked on as much due to me at work. I -really- like my co-workers so it'll give me a chance to form some real new friendships. Thanks for all that understand, and don't worry, Pokemon Titanium and TLoZ: Dark World will continue to be worked on. ~ To Coool
  18. Bahaha, I agree with Zeth that if you are going to go out, actually go out to a legit restaurant, part of the reason I haven't eaten McDonalds or Burger King in 4 years. Usually, my mom makes food for us, and if she doesn't, we usually go to an Italian restaurant cause we're all literally straight-up Italian. (As in, born there)
  19. Eh, I like Burger King, but I haven't eaten fast food in 4 years, except for the McDonalds coffee, which is the best. But I wouldn't really consider that "fast food"...
  20. Though I wouldn't really call it an absense... but I won't be online as much from July 1st to the 4th. (Vacation) From that point on, I'll be working for 5 hours from the 5th to the 8th. (I'm a camp counselor, for those who didn't know) From that point on, I'll also be working the same hours from the 18th to the 22nd, and the 1st to the 5th of August.
  21. I'm liking this, xdan! Keep up the good work on the emulator.

    OoT 3D on a PC?

Sorry, xdan, but a 3DS emulator apparently has already been created via modification of no$GBA's source code. I haven't tried it (mainly because I haven't found any 3DS roms yet) but there is an actual program. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4RJS5BIN PASSWORD: TyranitarTube.com I -really- don't know if it's legit, and I have my doubts, but I'm willing to give it a try.
  23. I had no choice, J'Ram-Ku. I needed to bring you here. Why do you say that? No, not yet, J'Ram-Ku. While here, you won't be bothered by us. Do your business, the main reason why you came here. And I'm also confused, what did Shagrim do? It... does seem odd, Idhara. And oh Vivec... Look, more Morag Tong.. We best just stay outside.
  24. He.. Really is a member of the Morag Tong. We really aren't as bad as some people may make us out to me. I understand some people are truly evil in the guild, but most of us are good hearted with the interests of the people on our side. However, you must go to him and speak with him. That is your first task.
  25. There are... many different people who disagree with our work, whether it be for the good of everyone or without reason. Many figureheads in government want to rid of us, and create an elite guard force to deal with what we deal with. Within each of the provinces, there lies at least one person with a common interest with the destruction of our guilds. The Empire is trying to stop what we are doing, and we need to eliminate the source. I'm sure you've heard of the guard, Darius, correct?
