  3. I have been told my methods are dirty, but yet, are they truly? The object of war is to win, to take out the opposing forces. Is orchestrating a plan to infiltrate an enemies base truly dirty? Valuable intel has been obtained, and we have crippled the war effort set forth by the Evil Magistrate. Or is their cry a cry of weakness? Of inability to reestablish what they had? They foolishly let an "ex-member" of FC into their guild, and gave him full access to everything. Is it wrong that we took advantage of the situation? They cannot mess with fate, and it is our fate to unlock the power of Kusai. And we will do whatever it takes. We're not slaughtering the innocent, unlike them. In my opinion, that is an even worse offense. But the innocent shall fear not, for the power of FC will continue to eliminate these evil judges. The Evil Magistrate, from what intel our grand spy has done under my authority, has proven itself to be undoubtedly unorganized with no clear path. They target only Naxylldritt and Shadowfire, but do not target our strongest, such as Sanguinetti. This is a fatal flaw, and one to be rued. We now know that they will not even take the path into defeating ZethN64, one of the biggest threats to them. I pray for their souls, as they do not realize the perilous journey they must now endure. However, my strategies have not changed, and our assaults will continue in a timely matter. High General Coool
  4. Porting maps from Majora's Mask isn't a problem, but if you are wanting to export maps from TWW or higher, you will need to learn how to extract the model and then take it and convert it into an editable form. After that, you're going to have to do a lot of cleaning up, such as making textures smaller and reducing the amount of faces. After that, simply export it as a .obj file and import it using Sharpocarina or spinouts program. As for things such as replacing the hookshot and what not, I'm not an expert on model swaps, but there is a great tutorial by SanguinettiMods http://www.the-gcn.com/topic/1192-display-list-porter/ right there.
  5. A great website I've found is http://www.w3schools.com/ They have lessons for HTML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, HTML5, and even more. Highly recommended.
  6. Just for the record, that sprite was just a test sprite. Plus, that one NPC technically doesn't exist anymore, he was used when I was testing a script.
  7. New pictures: Welcome to Corinsth! The Pokelab! The main path seems to be blocked off... No matter! There's a back path! ... Through a creepy cave...
  8. I've been keeping it a little under wraps because I haven't been able to build up enough solid content, but I've established what I need to. Scripting is a little weird for me, but I'll get used to it. I've been thinking, would people like to have it released in episodes? Or just one complete game? It just seems a little easier for me to build it up in episodes.
  9. I've dealt with my fair share of bullying; for stupid reasons, of course. I've never been "popular" so to speak in my school, but everyone knows me and knows me as a nice guy. I guess you can say I'm popular in terms of people knowing me, but that's about it; I have a small circle of friends, and apart from some of my best friends here, that's it. My circle of friends just grew a little smaller just last week (mentioned below), but I've been coping with it. Back in 6th grade, I was bullied for having the balls to ask a girl out. No-one else did, and I thought I had a good chance with the girl because I knew her since 4th grade. Turns out, because I wasn't as "popular" as her, she declined. At that moment in my life, it felt like the worst. In all reality, I'm so glad it happened now. A little weird, right? If I had gone out with this girl, I probably would become friends with her friends. And guess what? That's something I would like to avoid at all costs nowadays. She and her friends are now complete druggies, doing drugs in school, and even getting STDs by the dozen. I'm appalled at that, completely disgusting and totally unreasonable. Her rejecting me is the best thing that ever happened to me, because it lead to a lot of good things in my life. 1. I finally got the ability to do stuff without caring about people's opinions. I joined the football team the following year despite people telling me I wouldn't be any good. Well, they can suck it, because I played 3 positions, and was first string for all but one. Recorded the highest amount of sacks in the area and caught 7 touchdowns in 7 games, and threw for 2 touchdowns. After that, I realized that people are stupid; they'll always try to take you down to make themselves look better. 2. I did get with a girlfriend in 8th grade, kind of as a birthday present. We knew each other since 7th grade and she told me she would go on a date with me for my birthday. Possibly the greatest day in my life; I've been seeing this girl for almost 3 years, and our relationship has only grown stronger. Those two reasons alone are some of the greatest outcomes of my bullying. I built up confidence and started to not care if people thought of me in a negative light. There's always going to be assholes that hate you for no reason; what's important is that you make sure you never turn into that. Never hate anybody for no reason, whether they appear to be assholes or are just very popular. Before forming an opinion, get to know them. Most people are good people. As for getting help with confidence and whatnot, become friends with someone you have to talk to everyday; preferably a girl. My late friend (bless her soul) Kelly helped me with confidence, and I wish I realized it sooner. Without her, I'd probably wouldn't have starting seeing my girlfriend. She changed my life for the better. So, my advice to you, my friend: I know it's hard, I had what you have, but you need to find that one person who is lively and friendly. That person will be the key to opening the many doors of life. And when you find that person, appreciate them for what they're worth.
  10. Uhm... oui! Not a French speaker, German is my language. In any case, however, welcome to The GCN.
  11. All good Blinx, he has been killed.
  12. Just nought I'd let you all know, I came in 4th! I also placed 1st in a category, and my lowest ranking was 8th in Spriting and Music, my worst category. I did very well, beating out people who have done game jams before, which really feels great! Thanks to all that helped support me!

  15. Thanks XDan, if I have any questions I'll be sure to ask you. On a topic of the game, I encountered a problem with AGIXP, a program used to extract and import sprites. I was able to solve it, and I have also provided an archive for those who would like to help. http://gamescapestudios.co.cc/emu/AGIXPKit.zip In order to install, run setuppad.exe in compatibility for Windows 98. It -should- work, and if you run the program, it should run without errors. If you're missing any DLLs, simply install them, but you shouldn't have to.
  16. Well, looks like Gen II will be modded! What Gen II game will I be modding? I've decided to go along with Crystal, as it has the most features I can utilize. Anyone with Gen II modding experience who would like to help, I welcome you! Let's do this!

  21. Gotta admit, I'm really liking this tool, XDan. I think I'm now ready to restart my mod
  22. Picked it up, I like it! I'll be experimenting with this more this weekend.
  23. If you do, it would be much appreciated. I'm leaning towards G/S for my mod.
  24. I'm coming into this to be completely unbiased as even though I like SSB, it's not a series I can say I absolutely love. Objection to #1: I'll be honest, I see much more people hating everything Nintendo does compared to Sony. I constantly see people say how Nintendo sucks and that Sony is so amazing. That's the fanboyism. I mean, look at Chad Warden. Huge PS3 nut and says that Nintendo and Microsoft have shitty games. That's true for all systems, not just Nintendo and Microsoft. So the "hating everything Sony does" just seems to be a way you perceive things. Not saying its wrong, but it's the same for every company. Objection to #2: I don't have an objection; I havent played the game yet. Objection to #3: Well, wait. I have never heard of those games before; they definitely aren't as wide known as PSAS or SSB. Not saying that this isn't a reason they haven't gotten bad credit to the same level Sony has, or that I'm a guru of games. I'm just saying these games aren't popular, so you aren't going to see a whole lot of dirt on them. There's also a difference between these games and PSAS. They are based around a particular franchise. I mean, TMNT has a grand total of 8 characters to choose from. Small Arms has its own characters. The only hard one to debate here is Shonen Jump, but it's true; it's only Shonen Jump characters. You might be thinking "So? Sony is only using its characters from its franchises, too." And you be right. They are. But the difference is, TMNT is just TMNT. Shonen Jump is just Shonen Jump. But PSBS is, well, all of Sony. Just like how Nitendo all of Nintendo. So instead of possibly creating a new series with completely new characters or a subgame to a game, they went with all of their best characters, like how Nintendo went all with theirs. Thats my take. Another thing, just my own thought on Wolfenstein and stuff: the difference between an FPS and platform-fighters is that FPS is considered a genre. Platform-fighters are just us genres. That's my argument, take it or leave it. It's more of an interpretation than it is an argument. I'm just simply stating p why I think fans are reacting the way they are.
