why not all three? graphics, gameplay, and story? if you don't forget on the ps2 shadow of the colossus had some freaking excellent graphics, story, and gameplay, could this not have contributed to the awesomeness of the game? would the colossi have the same impact on you mentally if they were solid colors, and poorly textured? no they wouldn't. it would be kinda fun for a bit, then you would get tired of it. as the impact of seeing a monster isn't the same if its a poorly done paper cut out. I am impressed with graphics, when they are excellent.I am impressed with gameplay, when it is excellent. I am impressed with story, when its excellent. That is really what gives me this awe and wonder, while playing oot, its story, its amazing, its not overly complicated, easy for everyone to follow, but its amazing. the graphics pushed the n64 to its limits. and the end product is one of the best visual experiences i've ever seen. and the gameplay, its like the character does exactly what you want it to do, the dungeons are amazing, and the puzzles are still challenging(unless you are one of those people who play it repeatedly all the time)

I've been having this issue too. but what i found usually fixes it, is I remove all solid color materials, then repaint all the surfaces the appropriate material. always fixed this kind of thing for me so far. but don't do it yet, as I am inexperienced and do not know for sure if this is the correct thing to do. wait for someone else to reply before doing what i said.

was thinking something else, when i said normals it was more along the lines of shading and things. but thanks for the input. the whole thing breaks when i simply import to blender then export again. its not just UV mapped things

can edit normals in blender, as well as actually UV map things. which is great for things like demonic archways similar to the one from ganons castle.

Back in december

I've tried to export from blender a few times now, every time I import objs from blender, it doesn't work. it appears it doesn't export materials properly. heres how i go down. I use sketchup pros exporter to export my map. i edit them in blender then export again. sharp ocarina imports it. the collision appears when i load the file. but for some reason no textures. all black. is there a specific way to export models from blender so they work properly in sharpocarina? or should I export to a different format, then use a different program to re-export to obj? reason im asking is theres a pretty good variety of things i can do to the model in blender i can't do with sketchup. but the .obj exporter in blender has got to be the worst exporter i've ever seen. ever.

the entire room with the twisty hallways is an actor, someone correct me if I'm wrong.the deku scrub that tells you the order could be changed with a text edit. that is after you change the actual order the scrubs pop up.
