SharpOcarina - Zelda OoT Scene Development System
The Tjalian replied to xdaniel's topic in Community Projects
Xdan, I'm not sure if this has been asked before so I apologise if it has, but what are the chances are you releasing the source code of newer versions of SO? I'm really interested in delving into it on an educational basis, to see how tools like this are done. -
I just pray they don't include tank controls in this version. I felt in RE5 it was an action game forcefully trying to inject some horror into there with a limiting movement mechanic.

who needs SOPA to be passed with shit like this

I'll spam and I'll cram til I beat your post count down! Haha. Thanks guys

You know you want to -
To be fair, there wasn't massive differences between Ages and Seasons, and there's development parallels between LA/Oracles and Ocarina 3D/Prophecies. Obviously, the Prophecies aren't actually real, but I wouldn't really worry about development quality if they decided to go down that path. Also, Aonuma has gone on record to state this will be a full console-esque experience. I'm pretty excited! Hopefully by this they mean it'll last more then a small handful of hours...

Well guys, I'm now 100 posts in. Looking back, I'm really glad I signed up now and joined in with this awesome community. You guys have got me interested again in Zelda hacking and modding when I thought my boots were well and truly hung up - so many thanks to all of you for reigniting that fire and helping me remember why I love it so much! Here's to another 100 posts!

I definitely intend on making a donation, but finances are tight at the moment. Fingers crossed.

Yaaaaaawn Way too much overuse of "LETS PLAY SHIT BACKWARDS YO".

Lol, jokers.

I was using this until a month ago: However the thing died on me. So I'm looking at getting a new one... right now I'm not playing any games on the PC that really require a controller, thankfully. The only one that does would be Skyward Sword, and I'm using the Wii Remote for that anyway. I'm thinking possibly getting the Razer Onza. Thoughts/suggestions?

Good luck with the rewrite xdan! -
NInja attacks are an uncommon, yet most highly efficient of all attacks. Ninjas can move up to speeds of over 20 miles an hour, and can swing their swords, which are their primary forms of attack, in dead silence yet extreme speed. The only known survivor of a ninja attack would be the pirate clan, who have a long documented history of fierce rivalry with the ninjas. In order to escape a ninja attack, you must either become a ninja or a pirate. This is most quickly accomplished by either spray painting your bedsheets black (if they are not already) and wrapping yourself in them, covering everything except your eyes, and paint your face black too. If you would prefer to be a pirate, you need to quickly steal the napkin from the kitchen, wear it on your head, get extremely drunk (alcoholic beverage of choice is up to you, however grog is the most traditional for a pirate) and find the nearest docking station and jump on a ship. I'm John Champion, and this has been your daily PSA.

http://wiki.spinout182.com/w/Actor_List Says about pairing with 0001, but I don't see anything about pairing with the invisible one? Anyway the point about pairing will hopefully lead me in the right direction. Thanks

Nintendo's E3 Press Conference Details (Starting with Wii U) (EDIT) [E3 2011]

Anybody who will look 5 posts up will remember what happened at Spaceworld 2000 But to be fair, I'll take WW Link over Powerpuff Link any day. He looks like he came out of that bloody TV show Reboot from the 90s. Lighting is horrendous! For reference, -
Well, that looks like something I'm going to have to devote a good hour or so, at least, to try and figure out (I've never really done hex editing to that level before). Erm, once it's done though, will SO go and overwrite it if I save the binaries again? I'm assuming so if SO doesn't know how to handle it.

:S Sounds like more trouble then it's worth right now... haha.

moved it a bit to the left, nothing. Moved it up higher and just stayed on the ground. EDIT: Figured it out. Adult Link -needs- to be on a 100% flat surface when opening up treasure chests - even though the treasure chest was on a flat surface, AL was not, therefore wouldn't let me trigger the open. EDIT: I should state I still need help with the Stalfos thing, though

Most excellent Although I wasn't a massive fan of the LW Remix, to be honest. However, here's an excellent Remix that some of you may have heard of before. I first heard this remix when I went to a LAN festival called the Insomnia Series. I feel it doesn't really kick off until 1:04 (the bit before that IMO I feel is filler, but I'll let you be the judge). There's also a Tetris Remix which I heard at LAN - the drop on this one is insane

Bar Zelda Wii U, all of the Demos was PS3/360 footage And no, I thought Zelda Wii U looked fine colour wise? -
Hi guys. Finally finished off my first ever map mod last night Very good times However! I ran into a couple snags when placing down some actors. First of all, the Invisible Stalfos (0002 0032 0000). I placed it in my map, and nothing showed, even when using the lens of truth, although the music played. Are there any specific rules you need to follow when using this type of Stalfos? Using variable 0001 for the Stalfos instead, worked perfectly fine, even in the exact same position etc. Secondly, treasure chests. I placed down a couple of large chests for the Fairy Bow and the Biggoron's Sword (000A 000E 0080 and 000A 000E 0AE1 respectively), and while Kid Link was able to open them, Adult Link was unable to. I changed these treasure chests to the small variety and both Adult and Kid Link could open them, so what gives? Even changing it to the other Large Chest variant (variable Cyyz) still didn't let Adult Link open up these treasure chests. So what gives? Any assistance in either of these would be fantastic Many thanks.

Many thanks Is there a way the collision type can be edited in SO, or does it HAVE to be done in UoT?

Just a quicky - has anyone figured out what makes Link's dive off of Zora's River's waterfall so different from any other jump off a very high place? I'd wager there's been bigger leaps off of Death Mountain and they just activate Link's regular jumping animation. So, has anyone figured it out? Or no?
