  1. I have tried using the Scale feature, but it is klunky and takes a considerable amount of time for a complex model (unless I have been doing it wrong). What is the fastest way to scale a model to 20 or 22? I click on File > ObjExporter to export my models. There are no visible options to change. Can you be more detailed on this please?
  2. I thought it would be best just to revive this thread versus making a new one. No matter what template I use in SketchUp, all my models come into SharpOcarina SUPER tiny. What small secret am I missing when making the models in SketchUp?
  3. Not really,. The tool thread specifically said to post on Maco.com or the tool would no longer be developed. The poster said nothing about making comments here. Maybe I misunderstood..... I have been in the modding scene for almost ten years, so I consider myself an "oldie" here. All I am saying is create and develop the tools for the greater good of the community...not the betterment of your forum. Who cares who or when they use them. Create them, perfect them and move on... I will say no more on the subject
  4. I understand that and that isnt what is important. I think that any and all tools created for zelda should be shared with the community regardless of how many ppl actually use it in a given amount of time. Zelda modding can come and go in waves and in the time frame Flotonic (not picking on you specifically ..it is just kind of how it fell) creates a tool, perhaps I have quite a bit going on (lets say say work, family and my thesis, and I dont have time to work on his tool right now). So I have to do without because he isnt willing to let the community work on it in my stead...seems selfish Long story short, Flo...I joined your forum awhile back, my account was hacked,,,and I do not feel comfortable joining again for fear of my password being stolen... Lets be honest with one another...someone has to take responsibility for that...
  5. I did in deed think that Sang was Flotonic...not that it really matters because the principles are the same. I still stand firmly that tools made should be for the community by the community (you can tell I am heavily for open source products).
  6. I understand why SanguinettiMods (Flotonic) is saying it, but I do also see DB's point. The tools are meant to be used, but telling ppl (basically in an ultimatum or threat fashion) "use it or forever lose it" type of thing just doesnt sit right with me. So I suppose I see both perspectives, but everyone should remember that since it is his (assuming he is a he) tool, he can pretty much do whatever he wants with it. Although I hope SangunettiMods sees that collaboration and sharing does help the overall community and modding efforts even if some of us dont have time to apply the tool right away.
  7. I have gotten the issue with Glide and Rice. I currently use Glide Final. Suggestions? EDIT 1: Bumping this one. Zeth, did you have any ideas specifically while using Glide Final? EDIT 2: NVM I figured it out. For those experiencing the issue, you must disable frame buffers
  8. Fantastic. Is the lens of truth not working correctly with texture packs specific to settings or is it just a limitation of using texture packs? Specifically, the lens of truth doesnt "hide" the textures when you use a texture pack.

    Issues with nemu64

This likely only applied to the OoT debug rom, but check these settings out: http://synt4x.ath.cx/oot_debug/
  10. Yeah. I tinkered with the source. I am pretty handy with C#.NET but to be honest I lack the needed knowledge of maps, scenes, headers, etc to add anything useful.
  11. This will likely come up and is not quite as easy to find for some folks., I made a PDF of Debug ROM settings, explanation of the menus, screens, etc. I didnt make this, I am just posting it....well I was going to upload the doc here but dont see an option to do that. I will just link to the page instead http://synt4x.ath.cx/oot_debug/ Feel free to add any comments that folks may find useful.
  12. Not sure if this is in the right section but ran across this as well on my travels. Here is the description from the site (this is not my tool): GC-Tool is able to replace data in a GC-ISO image. It is able to replace user-data (normal files) as well as the DOL file (which isn’t visible in the TreeView) I actually dont know how useful it is or isnt and it doesnt seem specific to Zelda GC games either. http://snesorama.us/board/showthread.php?173300-(NGC)-GC-Tool-Version-1.20-BETA-366KB Edit Fixed link
  13. I initially went to that forum because of the Skyward Sword save editor. I started nosing around and stumbled on that post. Seemed nifty and I wanted to share it with others who may find it useful.
  14. I didnt create this and it isnt OoT specific, but this looks badass: http://zfgc.com/forum/index.php?topic=39800.0 I believe it is based on ALttP
  15. We have to wait until the mood strikes him. *Flails arms and chants* "SharpOcarina...SharpOcarina" Actually, SUPER dumb question. How do I get SketchUp to use that rb file?
  16. So clearly I am missing the tutorial on how exactly to do that in sketchUp. Does such a tut exist here? I totally get it conceptually Jason777, so thank you for that
  17. Yes I am referring to having multiple maps to a scene...ideas?
  18. OH. Sorry I didnt know it was an exclusive club
  19. This one is basically my "custom" front end for all my emulators and games. You click the pic of a system and the screen shows you avatars of the available games. Click the pic and the app launches the emulator and starts the game for you....I know...too much free time..lol This one is my favorite background...
  20. Hi All, Been messing around with importing models into SO using Sketchup and a few quick questions 1) Been on the Sketchup warehouse and trying to import some simple models as tests and they all throw IndexOutOfRange Exceptions. Any obvious reason as to why that may be? The models arent terribly large 2) How do you break up larger models and get them to "link" together properly? 3) What is the best method to add groups and actors to those models for import into the ROM?
  21. I clicked the link and got: You do not have permission to read tutorials in this category. Am I not cool enough?
  22. That is awesome. And this applies to all standard blocks in all locations?
  23. What does that have to do with the original post? lol
  24. I just said I found it, not tried it. If others find that it isnt valid or corrupts their rom, we can simple have this thread deleted
