Did you know that? Silent hill is based on a real ghost town. The town of Centralia Pennsylvania has become abandoned since 1979 because of a mine fire. The fire still burns and the smoke coming from the ground looks almost like the ominous fog from Silent Hill. Here is the full article:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centralia,_Pennsylvania Now you Know!

This game is almost like someone took Fallout mixed it with Skyrim, put in a dash of Assassin's Creed, and baked it in a steam-punk oven. Dishonored gives you a pistol and sword and 6 powers to use. It is set in a place that is very similar to 17th Century England. It is called Dunwall and it has a problem. It is infested with a deadly plague which is carried by monstrous rats. The rats play a big part in the game and so does the plague. You cannot catch the plague but you can summon rats. You can summon a big swarm of angry rats that will attack any enemies nearby. Your other powers include teleportation, a blast of wind which breaks doors and knocks back enemies, slowing down or completely stopping time, being able to see people through walls, and being able to possess animals or even people. These powers are given to you by a mystical being known as the Outsider. To buy these powers or upgrade them you need to find runes. Runes are things carved out of whale bones which are magical. Along with runes there are also bone charms which give you little boosts such as increased health from potions. In Dishonored you play as Corvo Attano, legendary bodyguard to the Empress. You had been away for months to ask for aid from other countries for the plague. When you return you meet Emily who is the heir to the throne and Empress's daughter. As you inform the Empress of the bad news assassin's attack. You are able to fend them off for a few minutes but eventually they kill the Empress and take Emily. They disappear and everyone is left to believe that you had killed the Empress. You are brought to jail but escape when you receive a key from a "friend". When you escape you meet Samuel the boatman who brings you to the Hound Pits Pub. This is the place where a faction of people who call themselves the Loyalists are waiting for you. They know about how you are innocent and they also know who you need to kill to get your honor and Emily back. And so you have to become an Assassin and get her back. Now there are a few ways you can do this you can complete levels without killing anybody. For example your first target is the High Overseer. If you are stealthy enough you can sneak into where he is and instead of killing him simply remove him from his position. How? By giving him the Heretics brand. The Heretics brand is a brand put on the face of those who have committed crimes which remove them from their power. This is what I chose, however simply sparing him and killing everyone else will not do much. More deaths means more chaos and the more chaos you accumulate will come back to haunt you in the end. If you have high chaos you will have a sort of bad ending. The ending is narrated by the Outsider and he shows what happens after the final level. The only downside would probably be that the game itself is short but still it is an amazing game

The first 2 Dooms were incredible. They had scary demons, hell, mars, and tons of kickass guns. Doom 3 takes all those things and kicks them up a notch. In Doom 3 you are an unnamed space marine who has just arrived at the UAC's base on Mars. Upon arrival you meet a few people and learn about the new project on the base, teleportation. When they test the teleporter all hell breaks loose. Literally. The teleporter malfunctions and instead teleports all the forces of hell onto the station. Not only are the forces of hell your enemy but also the people on the station. Hell transforms many other marines into zombies and many different types of creepy demons... . Now you have to get to Mars city and get the fuck off that rock. But it's not easy. If you don't get too scared and quit and actually manage to defeat the forces of Hell it is still a long and dangerous journey that awaits you. One that even involves going to Hell itself and beating the everloving shit out of Hell's mightiest warrior. If you do get the game get ready to get scared. Doom has a lot of pop out scares and the atmosphere of it is creepy. The environments are usually dark and the implementing of a flashlight weapon makes it worse. Yes that's right to use the flashlight you must hold the flashlight. Meaning if you are using the flashlight to see that is all you can hold, no other weapons which makes navigating through dark enemy infested places extremely difficult.

Slender is one of those games that is like a nightmare. It is called one of the scariest games of all time and to be honest I think it is. Slender dives into a fear that everyone has. The fear of the unknown and not a lot of pepper know about The Slenderman or at least how he got like that or what exactly he is. But essentially he is like the bogeyman except he can teleport and he has tentacles on his back, oh and no face. In addition to all this he kidnaps children and when he is going to kill someone they know it. They get Slendersickness which includes nightmares of The Slenderman, seeing him in pictures, aches, pains, cough... ing up blood. But enough about the creepiest thing ever created and back to the game. Slender takes place in some godforsaken forest. You character doesn't have a name but by her breathing we can tell that she is a woman. She has a camera with a light on it which serves as the view. You need to collect 8 pages of paper with eerie writings on it to win. But that is not easy. Why? Because you are constantly being chased by the Slenderman. He can teleport and if you look at him too long you will die. The thing that is scary about this game is that it requires planning, you can't simply run in circles you need to go on a diagonal angle if you want to make a turn. Well you don't have to but I do because if you don't you have a good chance of him popping out of nowhere and showing up right in front of your face. The music is the other thing that is scary about Slender. It gets creepier and creepier as you collect more and more pages. It starts of with just drums then gets scarier and more intense as you go along. Slender is one of the scariest games of all time and a personal favorite. It gets a 10/10.

Thanks for the post i can relate i myself have a phobia of social situations and find it hard to bend my saftey zone to try social things but i will have one peice of advice for you. If it get to the point of doing something "stupid". Think what would people who actually like you say of you wherent there... i know i will struggle with who i am and what i am my entire life. But hey even if I hate myself it doesnt mean I cant help the poeple im mates with I will go out of my way to help them and thats my good deed for the day. yes im socially acward and not the best person but if i can make someone happy and give them a good time it brightens my day.. (e.g shadow fire at EB Expo 2012) So i guess what im trying to say is make yourself happy in a way that only you can do dont worry so much about love its overratted to be rushed into you will hurt you will hate but always do the things that make you happy and remeber your life is what you make it.

Conker's topic in General GamingBlinx you are correct in your rant but as I can say I have both Xbox and a gaming pc and I cannot fault either but honestly for the community aspect and to actually keep in touch with the people I talk to I need to keep Xbox live and a minimum of games but for me steam is the way to go mind you download speeds suck even at best of course but it is simple to use and has good deals -

Hey guys, i thought i would post a quick wrap up of the EB Games Expo 2012. The expo was a great way for the Australians to see whats going on in the world of gaming. Myself and Shadow Fire went to the expo and we enjoyed ourselfs. The expo started on the friday with a spectacular video opening and a motocross spectacular as it was it was spectacular in showcasing the scale of the expo. (Shadow Fire As The Hunter...) mind you while this was going on i did have some resivations as last years expo turned out as more of a trade show then a mini E3.But after experiencing the EXPO for all it had to offer, I came away fairly pleased with the service provided. Aside from a few hickups in relation to waiting times etc, the atmosphere was friendly and it was overall a load of fun. i would love to go into detail but its late so i will wrap it here and just add what we played at the bottom ( Me As A Splicer From Bioshock) We managed to get our hands on some playable demos that included: Activision Call of Duty: Black Ops II Electronic Arts Need for Speed: Most Wanted Mindscape Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Namco Bandai Tomb Raider Hitman: Absolution Nintendo Wii U console ZombiU New Super Mario Bros U NintendoLand Scribblenauts Unlimited Playstation Wonderbook: Book of Spells PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale God of War: Ascension Sega Aliens: Colonial Marines THQ WWE '13 ( Not That I Played Mind You...) Ubisoft ( They Always had A HUGE Line...) Assassin's Creed III Far Cry 3 Warner Bros Home Entertainment Group Australia Injustice: Gods Among Us Xbox 360 Halo 4
