  1. Haru blinked before giving a small smile, "You don't need to thank me." He said softly. "I...just wanted to help."
  2. Cynder cried out in pain and Ethan flinched, worried for his pokemon, "Hang in there Cynder! Use flame wheel!" Managing to regain his bearings, Cynder growled before flames started spinning around him and he charged at the other pokemon.
  3. Haru quietly watched the blonde. He was at a loss of what to say. Even so, if the other had something to say, he would listen.
  4. Ethan tensed while Cynder looked around cautiously. 'Be careful...' the raven haired trainer thought.
  5. Haru gave a weak smile, "It seems that way for now, but you must give it time." He said quietly. "Something will always be missing, that is true, but the pain will lessen, if only you let it."
  6. "Fire Spin!" Ethan called out. Cynder's mane burst out as he sent the swirling fiery vortex towards the metal snake.
  7. Haru was silent for a moment before he climbed onto the bed and suddenly pulled the blonde into a hug. "I don't what happened." He started softly. "But from the short amount of time I've known you, I have not once seen a terrible person." He looked at him with a very faint smile, "Maybe you've done bad things, but haven't we all? Sometimes the price of those things hurt you or the ones you love...." He closed his eyes, taking a deep, shuddering breath as if forcing something back. "But...you can't let it burden you. Not forever. Because if it hurts you, it hurts them more because they hate to see you in pain."
  8. Ethan sweatdropped, smiling awkwardly until she called out her pokemon and his smile confident as he motioned for Cynder to come forward. 'Time for some fun.'
  9. The brunette's frowned deepened, "...why would you think that?" he asked slowly, his concern growing.
  10. OFF TOPIC: Yay activeness~ Haru frowned slightly before reaching out and placing a hand on his shoulder, "...Len? Are you alright?" he asked softly in concern.
  11. Surprisingly when Ethan passed the other trainers, they only called out wishes of good luck with his battle against Jasmine instead of challenging him. 'Seriously, WTF.' he thought in confusion.
  12. 'I head that the gym leader is a steel-type trainer so this shouldn't be to hard.' He thought with a small smile as he and Cynder left the room. He handed the card back to Nurse Joy and left, eager to go to the gym and battle.
  13. -Fast forwarding through the night- Ethan woke up to the sun glaring in his eyes. Giving a muffle grumble, he sat up and stretched, yawning softly. 'Time to go to the gym and get that badge...then I can leave.' He thought with a small sigh.
  14. Falling back onto the bed, Ethan stared up at the ceiling. 'What's up with me? Why did I say that to him?' He blushed faintly, 'I don't understand!' He buried his face in the pillow, willing himself to go to sleep and forget everything for awhile.
  15. Letting out a 'huh' of confusion, Ethan shrugged before yawning again, "Let's get some rest, eh, Cynder?" The Typhlosion nodded slowly in agreement and they headed to the designated room.
  16. Ethan blinked, looking at the card before looking back to Silver. "Thank you." He slowly took the key and was about to turn away when he paused, looking at the redhead once more. "You know, you should do that more often." He said, referring to his smile, no matter how slightly.
  17. Ethan raised an eyebrow in confusion but gave a small smile, "You're welcome." Shaking his head, he stretched and yawned, "I don't know about you, but I am beat..." OFF TOPIC: Sleepy Ethan is friendlier than his more awake self. But not by much. *shot*
  18. "Hm? Oh, thanks." Ethan replied with a faint smile. He held out Snappy's monster ball, "Here."
  19. The fire starter gave a faint smirk in return. Ethan tugged off his hat, shivering as his cold wet hair hit his neck. "Well, let's head, to the center, okay?" He said with a faint smile. Cynder growled faintly in agreement.
  20. -Later back in Olivine (because I am lazy and don't feel like writing the trip to and from Cinawood)- Ethan shook his head in vain of getting rid of some of the water. "That was rough..." He muttered. "But I can't say I wouldn't want to do it again." He smiled faintly while Cynder, who had just been released from his monster ball, gave his trainer a flat look.
  21. Nyah! Blizzard's going to cover us. *flails* They let us leave school early today and we have off tomorrow. But I'm worried fro my mother, she still has to go to work. And we still have our other house we have to shovel. The roads will be dangerous. I don't want this... ;A;
  22. Ethan gave a faint smile, "Alright then, let's go!" he said with a hint of cheer.
  23. Clutching the water starter's monsterball, Ethan quickly released the water pokemon. He looked down, "...your trainer said you could help me across the water to Cinawood. Would you be willing to?" He asked softly. Just because Silver let Ethan borrow Snappy, didn't mean the water starter would go along with it, so he had to make sure.
  24. Ethan nodded slowly before starting to walk away. He paused, looking back at Silver. An unidentifiable emotion flashed through his eyes before he looked away and ran off to the water routes, toward Cinawood City.
  25. Ethan bit his lip harshly, nearly drawing blood. He was confused and it made him slightly frightened. But he finally spoke with uncertainty, "Thank you..."
