  1. Again, it's not "the E3 demo" as it was built way after E3 and it's a PAL version, it's simply not one of the discs or whatever that they used at E3. But otherwise, yeah, they probably just modified that one, or possibly remade it based on the European retail version.
  2. It's not the E3 demo, because it was built on September 22nd of this year. Note the files COPYDATE_CODE_2011-09-22_123646, COPYDATE_DATA_2011-09-22_115819 and COPYDATE_LAST_2011-09-22_123646 in the root directory. However, it's most likely pretty much the same content as the E3 demo had.
  3. There's probably pretty much everything but the rest of the stages (and maybe actors) on there - the script's there, credits, stuff from the menus, etc., etc. -, tho I have no idea how big the remaining, missing data will be.
  4. The actual contents of the image amount to something around 750 MB, so it's 1/6th or so of a single-layer DVD.
  5. I'd still try it out, but wouldn't get my hopes up. Video card is a bottleneck, as alphaheiti mentioned, plus your CPU is likely not fast enough, either. Best to play it on an actual Wii, I'd say.
  6. Andros: Most likely won't work, or at least not to any playable speed or quality - I'm getting less than half speed at the title screen(!) on my system (Athlon 64 X2 4200+ 2.2 GHz, ATI Radeon HD 5450 512MB, etc.) In addition, Wii Motion Plus isn't emulated, which the game requires, so you'd also need a real Wiimote with Motion Plus and a working Bluetooth setup.
  7. Yeah, no Wii Motion Plus emulation as far as I'm aware, not to mention it would be awkward to control anyway. Your best bet, besides playing it on a real Wii, is using a real Wiimote with Motion Plus via Bluetooth. EDIT: Menumenu.dat is the stage select menu as seen in some videos; also has a bunch of test maps listed, tho I bet they won't be on the final disc, just like with TP...
  8. Credits in EULayoutEndRoll.arcen_GB_endScroll_00.msbt - and in there, for example, those responsible for those instances of "voice acting" in the game: Takashi Oohara Yu Shimamura Anri Katsu Kenji Takahashi Tsuguo Mogami Rei Shimoda Kei Hayami Ayumi Fujimura Nobuyuki Kobushi Go Shinomiya (And now I wonder who Ayumi Fujimura voiced here...)
  9. Got it. Played it. Loved it. Hate the fact that I'm broke and can't buy the game at launch ;_; Now going to try out those codes...
  10. http://wiird.l0nk.org/forum/index.php/topic,9016.0.html <- some codes, ex. to remove the demo's time limit
  11. StageF000Harp.dzb: Also, water - StageF000Water.dzb: ...wonder if that water is gonna help us understand collision types more...
  12. Extracted using SZS Explorer (see linked Wiki page, from CTool Pack), viewed using a random Google find BRRES Viewer 1.3.1: http://www.mediafire...ra2xb1qneolkrun Also, I don't think I'll be writing any tools or code or so for those formats - SZS archive, BRRES 3D models - because I've got my hands full as it is already, and there appear to be perfectly capable tools and such out there (unlike BMDview2, which is pretty clumsy to use in my opinion).
  13. That .arc appears to be in this format: http://wiki.tockdom.de/index.php?title=U8_%28File_Format%29 (note the magic word 0x55AA382D) There's some tools listed on that page that thus should be able to open the files...
  14. Uhm, no, the Chrono Compendium got one for their almost finished "sequel" Crimson Echoes, a hack of the original CT. That made them shy away from any sort of hacking beyond PAR codes, removed most hacking material from their Wiki (which was probably the most comprehensive source on the subject) and banned discussion of all related things. Or something similar, I don't have the whole sad story memorized.
  15. DLing the torrent right now, rate is a bit unstable but always 300 kb/s+ up to 1.X mb/s hurr it's very unstable, dropping to less than 10 kb/s at times... anyway; my Wii's already waiting EDIT: Zeth, ".arc.lz" files are probably .arcs compressed in LZxx variant; http://en.wikipedia....i/LZ77_and_LZ78
  16. Heh, reading that first thread Octorok posted above again, it seems someone's finally given them a reality check... Also, I think that guy with the symbols in his username hasn't posted in it in awhile, so I wonder what his reply's gonna be~ XD
  17. Today's flea market haul: A Sega Master System 2, controller, cables, Sonic the Hedgehog; Excitebike (NES), Yoshi's Universal Gravitation (GBA), Mega Drive import/pass-thru adapter... for a total of 14 € (~19.30 USD)
  18. It's possible, I guess. I had already experimented with that a bit ages ago which didn't result in much, however I have a few new ideas and such now, after working on Wind Viewer - who's source and such I'll put out soon as well - so I'll try to go back and fix it up.
  19. I do have-a to say, I kind-a like this idea! I think-a, it-a makes sense to let-a Mario explain some things about the 3DS and its gameses! But seriously, this is a pretty nice idea in my opinion. They have a voice as well-known as Charles Martinet, so why not let him do some promotional videos as well instead of boring everyday voices? (...and I still have to snicker at "gameses" XD)
  20. ...hm, see those projects through to completion? ^^" SayakaGL and SharpOcarina are on a kind of hiatus, Virus Breaker here is dead, I guess the same for my N64 stuff (tho I did mess around with Katamari Pyramid a bit a few weeks ago), the NES emulator is highly incomplete and probably won't get much better anytime soon, SharpBoy is also on an extended hiatus, I suppose, so... yeah. "Jack of all trades, but master of none", kinda?
  21. Getting back to the "random junk" this thread is supposed to contain, here's some DS junk for you... The old trial mode demo for "Virus Breaker", a DS game I've been working on a few years back. Think I had already posted this on ZSO/ZC back in the day; felt reminded of it when game programming came up in a conversation I had earlier this week, plus when I read about those kids down in Randomness, imagining a 3DS game of their own. I still have the source for it somewhere, but it was coded for some really old versions of devkitPro and PAlib, so I have no idea if it still compiles nowadays... Well, the download: http://magicstone.de...ModeDEMO.sc.rar - should work on No$GBA (make sure you boot it through the firmware, not directly) and a real DS (works on my old Slot-2 M3 Perfect SD anyway)

    Multi-Trololo!

Of those "only" three are mine - the two laptops on the lower table (the left one's also driving the monitor on the left) and the PC the large screen in the back is hooked up to, while the two laptops right in front of that screen belong to two friends who were visiting. One of them had this weird idea, after already greeting me at the door with a "lalalalalalalala~" (Also note how some of them stutter while playing the video, especially the lower left laptop, which is my old P4 2 GHz - it's really showing its age by now)

    Multi-Trololo!

    Lalalalalalalalalalalala~
  24. I am feeling reminded of Bob's Game a bit, just with some kids out of touch with reality instead of one crazy guy, with much less notoriety and... nothing of note to show? Bob had more to show (an actual, playable DS demo), even I have more to show (also a DS demo, with sad programmer graphics, but at least something)! And Game Maker? Really? Hilarious.
  25. Not fancy at all, but I kinda fell in love with that artwork, dunno why <3 EDIT: A fresh Windows 7 install on the laptop later...
