  1. RT @themmnetwork: News: Rockman Gigamix Anime Opening http://t.co/xy55QZojiv

  2. Heavy: That description makes me think of School Rumble - sunglasses and beard sounds like Harima, the girl he's got a crush on would be Tenma, who does have a crush on some other classmate if I remember right... Don't remember the details all that well, been a while since I've started to read the manga. I really should get some more volumes of it, I'm only up to #3...
  3. RT @tinycartridge: NoA registered a Card Hero trademark in 2009, but the DS & DSiWare sequels never came out here. That blue puppy tho. htt…

  4. Oh fuck this, I'm off to bed! Good night, internetz!

  5. Sooooo yeaaaahhh, what shows are you all watching right now? I posted the five I'm watching about a week ago, nothing's changed there since.
  6. Replaced besitu's room model with a Unicat freshly converted from the .obj you provided: http://magicstone.de/dzd/random/unicat-besitu.ppf - If this doesn't work on hardware, I'll need to have another closer look at the conversion, but if it does work, the data created by my tool is likely fine (display list, vertices, texture) and your method of replacing Navi might not be working out right. Also, I do have noticed that at least for Unicat here, the texture's alpha channel doesn't work in-game. Will look into texture conversion and the various texturing-related commands in the display list... Edit, also, the command line I used for conversion: model2f3dex2 ObjFile="C:\Users\Daniel\Downloads\UnicatV2\Unicat2.obj",0x03000050,false,false,"C:\Users\Daniel\Downloads\UnicatV2\test.bin" - speaking of which, specifying paths (relative paths in particular) in the arguments is a bit buggy too, another thing I need to fix.
  7. Well, I meant that not in the literal sense, I would mind them very much if... you know! I don't really mind them in artwork and stuff. ...damn it, my fault for wording that so ambiguously. What the hell am I even talking about? <.<
  8. 1) 2) Are you 100% sure your method for replacing Navi and all that is correct? And how did you try her "on her own", how'd you load her and/or what did you replace? Could you post or send me both, the .obj and .mtl files you used, and the converted data you tried to import?
  9. What was that about GLSL I mentioned? Yeah. Well.

  10. Maybe it's Ika's tentacles, even though they're pretty much just her hair? Because usually tentacles are... something to feel weird about. I don't mind them as such, actually, but they are part of that stereotypical image of anime around some parts.
  11. That's an interesting reversal, I'm thinking "guilty pleasure" more about the latter than the former - for example, Tomoki's a total and open pervert, while the closest in Ika Musume/Squid Girl would be Sanae, and she's behaving... uh, sort of, anyway... Actually, maybe they aren't that different... Yeah, forget I said anything, Sanae's probably just as perverted towards Ika <.< Anyway, that aside... Log Horizon episode 19:
  12. I think Sonic Retro is actually a bad example, because there's a lot that is visible when you're not logged in - including ex. [sonic and Sega General] Engineering and Reverse Engineering and [General] Technical Discussion, thus exactly the type of discussion that petrie and CloudMax mean, I guess. Allowing guests to read at least a few of The GCN's forums (News, Modifications, Q & A, Community Projects?) might be beneficial, at the very least for those who're ex. presenting their projects here.
  13. Hrm, I wanted to learn more about GLSL and stuff, but @Vechs has started(?) LPing @StarboundGame... decisions... ...Vechs & Starbound it is!

  14. "Claws! He has claws! Very painful claws!" God, why am I still cracking up about that stupid Burnbot/Clawbot joke? XD

  15. Good choice and damn right. We need a second season of this show! <3 One thing that, in my mind, sticks out about it is how expressive the characters were, like facial expressions and stuff, in particular Maou and Emi for that first point. It's been great overall, it's really charming, but that comes to mind first when I think about the show. Like, that and "Katsu-doom" (or however the internet decided to spell this), and a few other quotes and stuff XD Anyway, for those who haven't seen it, the post for episode 1 on Random Curiosity.
  16. In other news, while I -can- cook, I make small mistakes in everything but simple pasta, which dampen the experience/enjoyment...

  17.

#FuckTheEU? We're not perfect, but I prefer the EU over US, RUS, CHN, etc. Wonder if anyone the #NSA listened in on ever said "Fuck the US"?

  18. I guess "indifference" is the word to describe my feelings about this Sonic reboot, spin-off, whatever it's gonna be

  19. RT @smealum: texture decompression working ! http://t.co/oAQRSrJfao

  20. The problem with copy protection on the DC was likely that Sega believed, the system's proprietary GD-ROM format was enough to prevent copies... which would have been the case if they hadn't included MIL-CD support in the system, which is what was abused for piracy. GD-ROMs cannot be burned by normal CD/DVD writers, writeable GDs aren't available to the general public - the only way to write an actual GD-ROM is by using an official GD writer and empty GD-R meant for development. So, hadn't it been for that MIL-CD stuff, piracy might not have happened on the DC, or at least not as soon as it did.
  21. It was a commercial failure for various reasons - IIRC Sega's previous screw-ups with the Mega CD, 32X and Saturn not inciting confidence, people rather waiting for the PS2 and/or Sony stealing away any thunder the DC might've had or gotten, etc. However, it is being held in high regard for, I guess, innovation and creativity (in great games, but also hardware features; ex. built-in support for online gaming), it was getting games in Japan up until early 2007, so after even the Wii had been released, there's still homebrew and indie games being made and sold for it today, such as what the NG-DEV-TEAM is making, etc. I guess... it's basically been appreciated much more and better long after it died its commercial death.
  22. Slow progress is slow... not to mention, I wanted to work on the "Dungeon" state, not message boxes! http://t.co/hylZFUTlmv

  23. RT @smealum: less buggy, overall more better-er http://t.co/V2TReVrCUg

  24. So what did I end up watching... Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren (at episode 03) D-Frag! (ep 04) Log Horizon (ep 18) Mikakunin de Shinkoukei (ep 04) Seitokai Yakuindomo* (ep 04) Mikakunin de Shinkoukei wasn't on my radar, but as it has happened before (with ex. the greatness that is Sakurasou, in fact) Random Curiosity's Stilts, or rather his tweets and posts, made me check this series out. Might look generic at first glance, but it's quite funny and rather intriguing - there might even be some supernatural things at work, considering the latest episode in particular... but really a bunch of remarks made throughout all four so far. Or some potential visual hints I didn't even pick up until I read about them in the comments on RC...
