  1. I know we have Dr. Pepper over here (pretty sure REWE and likely Real sell it, at least) but I don't think I've ever had any... Think I'm fine with Coke and Pepsi Twist. But not normal Pepsi, that stuff is... not very good.
  2. RT @tinycartridge: linking this Swapnote NES mix again 'cause it's live as hell http://t.co/l1wfmVriel So, #Nikkivember or #NikkiNovember?

  3. Also, model viewer and instructions at http://t.co/R2hM3UAbz8

  4. At least the basic geometry of the blocks that make up the maps, so far. Just vertices... well, their positions, and polygons... uh, well, what vertices they use. No idea about anything else. But yeah, that geometry is likely to be from, or at least very close to, the original N64 Dinosaur Planet.
  5. BREAKING NEWS! Potential "Diddy Kong Racing 2" textures in TEX.bin and level segment models in BLOCKS.bin, from Dinosaur Planet (N64): http://jul.rustedlogic.net/thread.php?pid=428087#428087 and following ...well, kinda sorta "Breaking News", I just like that phrase But seriously, have a look, try the rudimentary model viewer thingy for BLOCKS.bin, compare to the N64 footage!
  6. So real quick post here. mzxrules post about actor definitions I'll need to address later, as well as generally get back to SceneNavi - it's been three or so months since I worked on it. Anyway... CloudMax shouted something that had me sit up and take notice, so to speak: "(03 November 2013 - 01:54 PM) Ugh, image formats... so annoying. Especially when everyone seems to have different standards. I4 to RGBA for example. the result should be a rgba image where the RGBA values are all the same for each pixel, however, a lot of people don't seem to do this and set the Alpha to an individual value. How will I be able to make a convertor when everyone sets up the images differently T_T" Emphasis mine. Does that sound familiar? Does "pathway alpha" ring a bell? If he's right, he's just single-handedly solved something that's been haunting me literally for years, since the days of OZMAV1 I reckon:
  7. Note that "Dungeon" thus doesn't imply a Mario Kart DS clone :P

  8. RT @marmalade_macro: @xdanieldzd 日本ã‹ã‚‰ç‹¬é€¸ã¸ã‚ã‚ŠãŒã¨ã†ï¼ã€€ã‚¢ãƒ‹ãƒ¡ã‚’楽ã—ã‚“ã§ä¸‹ã•ã„ï¼Dank Deutschland aus Japan! Genießen Sie die Anime!

  9. I woke up to an ad mail from Amazon and... a notification from twitter... "日本から独逸へありがとう! アニメを楽しんで下さい!Dank Deutschland aus Japan! Genießen Sie die Anime!" Mamare Touno has replied to my tweet! That said, the next LH episode should be out soon, so that I'll be watching later.
  10. RT @MegaMan: Sample from @ocremix Mega Man tribute album: AC/DC acoustic jam from Battle Network! https://t.co/dJfkLi17pN

  11. Heh, I'm crazy. I scraped together what little Japanese I know and shot a tweet into the direction of Log Horizon's original author, Mamare Touno: "ちょっと変です、でもドイツから「ログ・ホライズン」のためにありがとうございます! アニメ版は、私の今の一番好きなアニメです。(^_^) そして、もし私の日本語は悪いです、本当にすみません!" ...which should roughly mean something like: "This is a bit weird, but thank you from Germany for Log Horizon! The anime version is my favorite anime right now. Also, if my Japanese was bad, I'm really sorry!" ...or I hope at least my intent comes across well enough in Japanese! Kinda worried I phrased something stupidly or too weirdly and stuff...
  12. Ohhhh yeah, looks like @NISAinEurope is doing it: Etrian Odyssey Untold is heading to Euro 3DSes in 2014! http://t.co/Eok01jsfIb

  13. Alright, what am I doing... Currently participating in some kinda job reintegration program, although the actual job-related stuff hasn't been very much lately. It's meant to show us one field of work every week, with us participants doing work related to that job. In reality, tho, the last few weeks have been ex. arts, which was very fun, I gotta say (did that painting of Akatsuki from Log Horizon I posted in the Official Drawing Thread before there), hiking (or officially "experiencing nature differently" or something like that), which honestly was not very fun at all as I'm not an outdoor-type of person, and this week is music, which is at least interesting (got to try the guitar today, which I liked, tho it's rough on your fingers if you're not used to it). The whole thing's, well, pretty hit-and-miss, in both the fields of work we do experience (ex. plumbing was... meh) and in what not-so-viable professions we have on "off weeks" like this one... In terms of things less immediately related to finding work, I've been working on that Dreamcast game thingy I've been posting a bit of a constant work log in my "random stuff" thread over in Community Projects. As I mentioned there, it's supposed to become a partial DC port of the DS dungeon crawler RPG Etrian Odyssey, with at least the dungeon and battle stuff functional. If that's actually getting anywhere, I'll consider adding more stuff from the game, and potentially EO4 and anything else that might fit - say, subclassing in the style of Log Horizon's Elder Tale (many special subclass-only classes) instead of EO's subclassing (setting another, regular class as subclass). All that's still a long way away, but I'm making progress slowly but surely. Besides, I'm totally behind on all the anime I want/wanted to watch except one - which I'll spare the mention of since I've already mentioned it twice in this post -, I've been taking some lesser used consoles of mine out of "storage" from time to time to play them (NES, Dreamcast, etc.; also thinking of hooking the DC up permanently again), and I'm planning to properly clean up and redecorate the living room soon-ish - want to get that painting up on one wall, want to get some posters and shelving for games up on another. There's an eBay seller from the UK who's got replica posters of ex. arcade flyers in A3 size IIRC, so not that big, and I think I want to get one of Dodonpachi Daioujou's (see there) and get that framed. ...and that's about all I can think of right now...
  14. RT @Protodude: why does twitter now expand images automatically? stop it.

  15. Just quoting myself real quick again: "#loghorizon 03, a fun (& funny) episode, more background on the charas & glimpses of the expansion's content and the bad guys" "#loghorizon 04, honestly loving how "explanation-heavy" the show is; also lol at the final blow vs Demikas, nice one! XD" Certainly looking forward to where it's going ^^ (Also, if it's not already obvious: Akatsuki FTW!! <3 <3)
  16. It's basically supposed to become a port - or at least part of one, namely dungeon crawling and battles - of EO1 to the Dreamcast. Would be cool if I got it to a playable state - and then potentially add more elements to it, ex. from EO4 - not sure if it'll actually get there... At the very least it's a good learning project, ex. because of some "firsts" for me in this, such as using C++ instead of just plain C (although, well, it's really a mix of both). EDIT: Model converter now makes ARGB4444 textures instead of ARGB1555, fixes broken alpha channels. Also made Frenda's model loader class compatible with textures of both types instead of just ARGB1555.
  17. Yay! I got it! I finally got it!! Not perfect yet (problems with alpha channels, some clipping glitches when the camera is too close), but it's getting there~! <3 Also thinking I'll need to change the model format once more, so that multiple models can be stored in a single file, like the original NSBMD format works... Also, the text in the spoiler below (which my NSBMD Viewer dumps, and which is basically the OpenGL calls used for drawing, just slightly modified) is what's turned into the model from the first screenshot in the spoiler above (which my Fr3D model converter does):
  18. On console, yes, but on Dreamcast. It's a project I'm working on for DC and that room from SharpOcarina's demo scene is just something for testing purposes that I had handy.
  19.

#loghorizon 04, honestly loving how "explanation-heavy" the show is; also lol at the final blow vs Demikas, nice one! XD

  20. Let's see... SVN'd "DCEO2" and "Frenda", meaning the game part and the engine part of the project; messed up at some point during a mass renaming of files, tho, which had resulted in me having to recreate the repository for DCEO2. Everything's working fine now, but I gotta watch out for this when refactoring part of the engine soon... Some under-the-hood fixes and improvements to the debug menu state and the menu manager; also optimized away spaces in strings in the font system. Previously it actually rendered empty polygons for the spaces, now it skips drawing them and just increases the X coordinate according to the whitespace width. Started writing the NSBMD exporter, to get EO1's dungeon models out of the game... or, well, more like "started hacking up my experimental NSBMD Viewer to dump all vertices into an XML file": EDIT:Optimized Frenda 3D model format into "Fr3Dv03", got rid of some superfluous values; think the format's pretty much perfect for my purposes now.
  21. From Groupees' Doujin Bundle 2: ARMED SEVEN, HellSinker, Higurashi: When They Cry, KAMUI, Princess' Edge: Dragonstone, Suguri Collection, eXceed: Gun Bullet Children, and assorted OSTs, etc. (Acceleration of Suguri X-Edition HD = kinda "Senko no Ronde in 2D"-ish, nice soundtrack, pretty fun, but takes time to get used to) (eXceed: Gun Bullet Children was a free bonus I technically don't need, as I already have the game from an earlier Humble Bundle or somesuch...)
  22. Ground meat and onion slices; also bell pepper. Pretty conservative I guess, and I'm not having those every time I get pizza, either...
  23. The only show of its kind (compare ex. Beyblade) that I actually liked, and where I could suspend my disbelief. I have a big problem doing that, even with shows that aren't necessarily completely realistic, but here... like, ex. the Shining Sword Breaker should be totally impossible to pull off, etc., but what the hell, it's awesome! Wonder if I can still track down the remaining DVDs I never got back then...
  24. Terraria for PC. And console means handhelds, too? If so, the Etrian Odyssey series on DS and 3DS; I'd recommend EO4 (3DS).
  25. RT @xkeepah: This website design is pretty terrible. http://t.co/QgLjZ6K3c1!
