  1. For a reference, this page should give you a good idea of what those normal settings are.

    This or That?

Ramen. I have a feeling that, were it not for meal plans, that would be my sole source of nutrition for the upcoming school year. Indie or corporate RPGs?
  3. If it's not used to attack someone, I don't really see a point in getting upset over profanity. Besides, if we staff members do it, it's hardly fair to punish other users for the same thing when that's just how they normally talk. If you want to drop a fuck or shit somewhere, fine by me if you're not using it for ragemode-related purposes.
  4. Looks doubtful, honestly. Squeenix has largely been loyal to Sony for contracting their game releases exclusively to the PlayStation platforms, with rare exceptions usually being interquels, prequels, or spinoff titles (such as 358/2 Days and Re:Coded released on the DS). For mainline series of games such as Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, though, I'm pretty certain those will be Sony exclusive.

IP.Board. Occasionally less secure/stable, but come on. phpBB just feels so dated. Yes or no?
  6. Word on the netz is that this game will have a few new gameplay mechanics such as swimming, wall furniture, outdoor sitting and easier connectivity to other people's towns. But the big deviation is that
  7. Animal Crossing 3D. I want a new trailer. ;_;
  8. In the context of Zelda, Nintendo is often pretty good at in some way revolutionizing the franchise. Twilight Princess saw one of the most impressive updates to the graphical context, and Skyward Sword offered some of the most realistic swordplay with the Wii MotionPlus controller. I'm excited to see where things go for Zelda on the WiiU (despite the console sounding like an ambulance siren >.>).
  9. Deviant 3 rocks my world, baby.

Anti-humor. How many Xbox kids does it take to screw in a lightbulb? I don't know, but your mother is a whore. </dickadmin> TV Tropes or Uncyclopedia?
  11. I never ever ever took Micro$oft as a video game franchise seriously. Best life decision yet.

    This or That?

Mujura no Kamen. Sorry, but an annoying rehash of dungeons is never as good as the unique world presented in the true sequel to one of the N64's best games. Canada or Finland? (sakura and RamenMage are not allowed to answer)
  13. Gotta agree with you there, Nyan Pony. While I don't particularly like Call of Duty (or any mainstream FPS games, for that matter), there are certainly more eloquent ways of expressing one's distaste for the game that don't generalize the world's opinion on it. Let's face the sad truth--if nobody really wanted it, Call of Duty would have long since dropped out of the market.

Poor. To hell with aristocracies. Calculus or Algebra?
  15. Basically what Sanguinetti said. C is probably a much better choice for starting out than C++/C#, as they are basically the same language but with considerably more complexity to allow for more features. Python's also a solid language to use, as I've heard. While Java is practical if you want to write neat little apps and sell your soul to the Android market to make tons of money, I don't recommend it as an entry language to programming. Visual Basic, while easy to pick up, often results in terribly buggy programs and, again, to me, would not be the best choice for a first language. I'll second Google SketchUp any day of the week because it's drastically simpler than other 3D modeling programs (and it's my preferred medium, anyway). True, it lacks many advanced features such as rigging and a proper texture mapping tool, but the point of SketchUp is to make relatively simple architectural builds quickly and efficiently--meaning it works great for constructing maps to be imported into older 3D games for the N64. It does have some specific features that help at least compensate for its shortcomings in that particular field when compared to more powerful software such as Blender or 3DS Max--like projecting textures, for example, or the smoove tool. Plus, there are plenty of tutorials for SketchUp and many of the plugins for it as well, so I doubt you'll have much trouble picking it up. I recommend starting with Google's own guides on SketchUp's home page. That, of course, is not to say it isn't worth it to try to pick up Blender or 3DS Max. Of the two, I would probably recommend Blender to learn the ropes with because of the vast community driving its development; thanks to the thousands of people at least somewhat familiar with the raw code that makes up Blender, it's not hard to find someone that can help you with just about any aspect you could imagine. They also have a wiki and extensive documentation for your perusal; moreso, perhaps, than any other 3D modeling program. While it does have a rather staggering learning curve, it is very much worth your time to learn Blender, as it competes very well with 3DS Max (and is free, which is only a concern if you're not a student and can't get a special license for the latter). The good news with learning Blender or 3DS Max is that many of the principles of one are similar to the other; processes such as building via prims or vertex by vertex are largely similar, with the only major difference being between the controls in the process. So, really, choosing between the two is pretty much up to you.
  16. Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix with Xeenaymo's (sp?) English patch applied. Proud Mode, level 96, several stat boosts from defeating Data copies of Organization XIII (mainly all in the mid-80's).
  17. How is this even possibru? Savestates were HEAVILY spammed. One day I'll beat him fair and square. I just really wanted that gold crown.
  18. Definitely shares my feelings on the topic. I've never actually played any of the Elder Scrolls games but my impression is that the entire game revolves around turning your character from an average joe to that of a near-deity. That is an awesome concept for an RPG and works well because everyone likes being flattered, and there's no one to steal your thunder. Naturally, then, the entire thing is ruined when you have people replicating your heroic deeds ad infinitum. "Oh, you killed the bandit king? That's nothing, I skewered Svettleburp the Hell Demon with this game's creator's spiked helm while his head was still in it, LOL"
  19. Life has gone rage mode on me right now. If I'm about, it will be to lurk. No idea when things will get better.
  20. Always good to have another member in the community. Welcome, Hayate! If you have any questions, feel free to PM myself or another staff member, or post about it in a thread in the Q&A section.
  21. For the record, I'm pretty sure they're also releasing it for PC, as a free downloadable client where you pay for special items/abilities. To answer the question in the topic, probably not. Never really got into Sony's portable market.
