My, my, my; how things have changed. I enjoy the site's new layout, very fitting and fancy-like. It has been quite some time since I have made any post on this site: but it has been even longer since I was actually active in this community. And now, well, I recognize very few names. That is not a bad thing at all, though. In fact, I am quite glad to see this community blossom in the way it has over the years. Let's see, it's almost Q4 of 2013...I started talking to some of you back in 2007-2008... damn... It's been a while, hasn't it? This community has successfully (for the most part) evolved into something much larger than I ever thought it would. But this is history that most of you know, so I'll just hurry up and get to the point so I don't bore you all to death. I would just like to thank some of you. Those of you who have helped me develope the character and integrity I have today. You know who you are. I find it suprising... that people I have met over the internet have impacted me in such a way.. And yet most of the people I see in real life do not even acknowledge my presence. It's touching, really. So: thank you. This community has evolved and endured, past all the drama and bullsh*t we have all had to deal with in the past. And it continues to endure through the most recent drama as well, just fine. I hope the drama subsides for all of you. The-GCN could do without it, but I guess stupid people are everywhere so it's truly impossible to fully avoid. I also hope that the resilience continues. I know it will though. I guess...this is my formal goodbye to all of you. I never really had a chance to give one because of how screwed up everything was and has been. Posting this has been on my mind for the past few months, but I have had my hands full with: well...life. I won't be gone forever of course. I'll continue to lurk on the rare occasion, as I have. Thank you all for the good times ... Maybe someday there will be more between us. Ya' never know, right? Farewell to you all. In case I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good night! ~Zurg P.S. : Ad multos annos!

Going to be very distant for a while but that is not a bad thing. Please refer to this: http://www.the-gcn.com/topic/1728-do-not-waste-time/

You aren't overreacting, the lifestyle of some people can be extremely shocking to those who are (for the most part) normal. Unfortunately there are many people on this Earth that are just like the ones you encountered. You seemed to have handled them the best way you could have though honestly, good thing you are mature or that might have not been the case. That's pretty much all you can do around bad people, especially bad and drunk people. Alcohol does some shitty things to the mind, it's one of the worst drugs in my opinion. People are not themselves while they are intoxicated, they're levels of common sense and decision making skills are virtually non-existent, which I'm sure you already know. Discomfort and anger are two emotions I know -very- well and trust me I know they are even worse when caused by other people. Just do your best to ignore it, you just had a bad day and you did all you could. You should be proud of yourself honestly, nobody got hurt. I praise you for not punching the guy square in his mouth for talking like that about his own daughter, I'm not even sure if I have that kind of restraint. It is really hard to avoid these types of people in the world, they are everywhere. Let them live their lives the way they see fit, regardless of how wrong it may seem.

Don't agree with you there at all to be honest. Regardless, great work Sanguinetti!

Microsoft, your consoles piss me off. I'm done with them.
Zurg replied to
Conker's topic in General GamingI thought that too, my specs are frankly terrible for gaming. With the right configurations and the correct compromises, I can play brand new games like Borderlands 2 at nearly full speed with decent looking graphics. I also use my PS3 controller for certain games I feel are captured better with a controller or games I used to play on console. My specs: Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00GHz NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 4GB RAM Not great by any means, but hey, I can still run Skyrim at 720p with 30-60fps. Edit: Sorry, flying really far from the topic at this point. So I guess...swing back? -

I admire your courage, not many have that. Honestly when you became a staff member here I observed a severe increase in your level of maturity. I don't think you should have to apologize to anyone, but you did; that shows how much character you have developed. We all make mistakes, you and I certainly have our fair share. But it is our mistakes that help us grow, without them we learn nothing. Don't beat yourself up over it, we're all human, after all. I'm sure you have heard this a lot over the past few days, but if you ever need someone to talk to, shoot me a PM, I'll do more than just listen.

Honestly, reading that...made my day. Thanks for showing concern, it means a great deal to me. I've been getting a lot of help lately and I can happily say the dark times are finally beginning to fade away. They aren't quite gone but they probably never will be fully. See you when you get back bro.

I'm not saying I don't like the current URA logo (in fact I love it) but honestly, I like this one a lot more. It feels more alive and vibrant, good work Errorjack.

I have serious doubts about this rumor but as with all rumors one can never be sure until it either happens or not. We all have the same hope I'm certain, though. MM3D FTW

I wish they made a wireless variant, otherwise that is so awesome.

Nothing suspicious, just a normal day in Whiterun.

There are a few grammar Nazis on the forums but nobody jumps on each other's cases because of it. You should be fine, plus, your grammar is honestly not that bad compared to a lot of the internet. Welcome to the GCN, hope you enjoy your stay on your first forums!

<May contain spoilers.> OFF TOPIC: Please note that these are my opinions. If you don't like it, stop reading and click the back button. The Triforce, a golden artifact left by the goddesses that grants anyone the wish they desire. The first time I played Ocarina of Time I thought to myself, why would the creators of the world leave something that would tear the world to shreds? It doesn't make any sense why the goddesses left it there in the first place. There are only three possibilities to why that is. The first possibility is the obvious one: The goddesses left the Triforce in Hyrule to show that they are the ultimate power. No object can grant a wish; so why not change that to prove that you were powerful. This would make sense because if I was a god that created the world I would want to get recognition for it. Leaving something that is extremely powerful to symbolize themselves would make sense...if they're wasn't evil among good. This would mean that the goddesses were just careless, one may even say that they were stupid when it comes to that. Let's be honest though, the goddesses created the world so they have to have a lot of know-how. There must be a deeper meaning in the Triforce that leads me to the next possibilities. The second possibility is less likely than the third but more...on the surface: The goddesses left the Triforce in Hyrule because they felt bad for abandoning the life they had taken so long to create. It was like a letter that basically said, "Sorry for leaving you my child, so here you can have this really awesome thing!"...basically. The third possibility is my main reason for writing this topic, it stretches far but it is what I think: The goddesses left the Triforce in Hyrule to test humanity. The Triforce can grant wishes because everyone wants their wishes to be granted...and when I say everyone I mean literally, everyone. If everyone wants a single object because of it's power we all know that they will be willing to fight for it. I believe the goddesses were cocky. They expected their creation to behave more like them. But that just isn't human nature; good and evil will always exist simultaneously. Because there was nothing but the goddesses before they created the world, how would they known about human nature? They couldn't have because they were goddesses, which tend to be depicted as more balanced than humans when it comes to perception and emotion. After seeing the tragedies, wars and general problems created by the object, the goddesses created the sacred realm, and entrusted the title and power of "Sage" to those who were fit to guard the Triforce. The goddesses wanted to seal the Triforce off from the world to protect it. And the result was nothing of the sort. They had to fix the issue somehow right? That's where Link comes in. A hero that represents the sovereignty of the world and one who is forced to be courageous in all situations is the perfect fit. One may even call Link the champion of the goddesses. Zelda has the Triforce of Wisdom because she is the mortal incarnation of a goddess. Even a goddess can make a mistake based on knowledge, they wanted Hylia's mortal form to be as cunning as she was as a goddess (but with the added human nature) so that the world could be led to a better So that's my theory. But if I'm actually correct by some act of god, it still doesn't explain why the Triforce of Power was entrusted to Ganon. Did he somehow manage to steal it? I don't know. And it's confusing to think about it because it's 1:27am after a concert. So, yeah, that's my two cents on the Triforce, hope you enjoyed and please, tell me your thoughts.

Keyboard and mouse for most games. On the PC I usually only play first person shooters or MMORPGs, but when I don't I use this: It's a PS3 controller shaped like an Xbox controller, I like getting the best of both worlds when I buy things. The only complaint I have is that the grip is strange and the sticks bounce back to the middle way to easy. The main reason I got this was because the buttons glow...I'm a sucker for shit like that.

I completed the first Super Mario Bros world in less than 10 seconds but I don't know if it's like a record or anything.

I made the same mistake, then gave up on capture cards/video making all together. If your going to invest in a good capture card, make sure you're going to use it enough to get what you payed for out of it. If your only going to use it a few times, I second To Coool, the Dazzle is a great product. It was capture card standard until HD capture cards blew up.

Dude this game looks amazing, I'm signing up for the beta. Also, not a bad video, you did a good job.
