I believe crackers are the ones who look for exploits without intent to cause harm, and hackers are those who seek some form of profit beyond the knowledge of how the system works. It could be the other way around though, I can't remember.

I'd love to see a sequel; though I'd only be able to help if my present workload eases up a lot.

SharpOcarina - Zelda OoT Scene Development System

You can run ruby scripts in SketchUp. There's one that exports to obj, and properly orders the vertex, face and UV definitions. With Maya, I believe it has a material browser. -

I'm aware What I mean by 'it looks awesome' is that 'it fits in like it was always there' :3 -

Try using a script exporter instead. SketchUp's exporters do a bad job with grouping the model data. -

What did you use to export it? Looks like that might be where your problem is. -

I don't get why they make such a big deal about it; it's not like they're working on the franchise these days. The map looks awesome Definitely keep working on this :3 -

Looks like a UV mapping error. Upload your .obj and I'll take a look at it in Max. You might have some bad texture co-ordinates. Also, xdaniel, you might want to take a look at supporting plain text .x files; they support vertex colour/alpha amongst other things. They're far more versatile than .obj files. Adding support for them alongside .obj would be really useful. -
I would actually love to see LttP in 3D. But I'd like to see Nintendo mix it up a bit, and not just make it PH/ST 3D. Go for full changeable perspective 3D.

How Does The 3DS's Graphics Compare To Other Consoles?
Arcaith replied to LEepicPOULET's topic in General Gaming
It's rare that anyone uses the full potential of a piece of hardware, I doubt we'll see more than a handful that showcase the 3DS' full potential. -
It's not bad, but his voice acting is a little inconsistent.

'new version' could be looked at in a number of ways; I guess it is possible that they might look at using some older ideas that were dropped, but it might just be referring to it being updated. I'm not getting my hopes up too high at this stage :3

XD That's crazy. How many computers do you own? XD

It's required since it's a limited edition thing. They need to know how many people want it out of all the people who preordered, as they'll only have a specific number of units available. I live in a country town, and my local games store only gets a handful of limited edition boxsets. With the game Dark Souls, I think we only got 5.

Yeah, PH is a WW sequel and ST is a PH sequel. I'm wondering if they'll try something like the impressionist style they're doing for SS, and make some kind of connection between the two. I guess we'll see in due course.

Aside from the recording and a few slight timing slips, it's actually pretty cool

Steve Jobs a bigger influence to gaming than Miyamoto!
Arcaith replied to xdaniel's topic in General Gaming
It's most likely the advent and explosion of 'social' games that have grabbed all these people who would normally be non-gamers and put them in a large majority. Most of the games you can get for iOS or Android are either socially driven, or else very short, replayable affairs. Pocket versions of the original initial movers and shakers that started gaming. Only instead of being coin-op, they're a dollar or few forever. -
Okay. First of all, to trigger a switch, the block actually has to fall a small vertical distance onto the switch. Second, the blocks move on a grid that is half the size of the block face. So a small block, which is 60 units will move 30 units with each push. 100 moves 50 and 120 moves 60. There are more notes in my notes thread. http://core.the-gcn.com/index.php?/topic/729-Notes-by-Arcaith

Holy shit dude, I just realized I never asked you when your birthday was. And it's today D: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (took me three turns to spell that right, too excited or something, perhaps too sleep deprived)
