  1. Try OpenGL, see if that works better.
  2. I've been working my way through Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, still need to finish watching 2nd GIG and Solid State Society. Love the series and I'm kind of sad to be getting to the end of it. Going to start watching Desert Punk soon, finish watching Eden of the East (since I've managed to lose the series twice due to hard drive failure and then accidental deletion ; ) and maybe rewatch Burn-Up! Excess. Yet to watch FMA: Brotherhood all the way through, I'm interested to see how closely it follows the manga, though. So far it's pretty close. I've started reading the Freezing manga, and watched the first two episodes of the anime. It's very interesting to see a Korean working in a Japanese publication, and I plan to follow this to see how it develops. So far it's quite interesting, though some of the character names make me cringe a little. Been reading Tsubame Syndrome too, and the art changes over the course of the manga are surprisingly swiftly. Whether it's down to editorial interference or simply the artist changing as the production developed, I don't know but it's a bit disconcerting. Going to track down Violinist of Hameln too sometimes soon, and see if I can find a group that's still working on the second manga.
  3. -Rayman 3D -Pokemon HeartGold -Pokemon SoulSilver -Pokemon White
  4. Are you using the OpenGL or DirectX renderer? Also, are your DirectX and graphics card drivers up to date?
  5. You can't convert wav or mp3 files to xml. The tool is designed to work with MIDI and MusicXML files. If you're wanting to import an mp3 or wav, you'll have to find a MIDI version of it.
  6. There's one door you can only open from the main chamber when the water is at its highest. Also, once you lower the water all the way, enter the chamber in the middle of the main chamber and raise the water once, you can access a path right at the bottom. Which is the lowest point of the dungeon, ergo the lowest point of the lake. Not that it matters. It's clear that we at least all agree that the text originally belonged elsewhere.
  7. I'd like to point something out to you. First off; the first sigil lowers the water level all the way to the bottom, allowing you to open a path which is at the bottom of the temple (and therefore at the bottom of the lake). The second and third sigils raise the water twice, allowing you to access the highest doors in the temple. My second point ties in with my first point and is this; it's entirely probable that the texts were originally used elsewhere to open the Water Temple and the Death Mountain Trail. I'm not disputing that. But they were probably reused here as they were either found to be perfect for the temple's design, or they may have even inspired the design itself. I still don't think the Water Temple was ever the Temple of Light, though. It definitely would have been the last temple on the list, however putting the medallion in before the forest medallion on the file display would have broken the flow of FOREST, FIRE, WATER that is initially set by the Spiritual Stones. It's likely simply aesthetic in that case. Also, the Light Medallion is generally seen as being paramount over the rest.
  8. How about MyBoy? Little inside joke for the Zelda players amongst us. It'd be better if it were a CD-i emulator, but eh. I like a little giggle.

    Well now...

http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/nemu64.html http://www.zophar.net/n64/Nemu64.html http://www.softpedia.com/get/Others/Miscellaneous/Nemu64.shtml Take your pick. Nemu hasn't been updated in years.
  10. It's entirely possible that the texts simply refer to the water levels within the temple and the positions you can reach by raising/lowering the water to those levels. I would also like to point out that if you removed the water from the temple, it becomes nearly impossible to navigate (from memory) so unless some heavy alterations were made to the geometry, it's doubtful that it was originally the Temple of Light. It's also possible that the texts were reused from other areas, and found new context in the temple. Also, I would like to point out that regardless of the Lake's Water level, you can enter the Water Temple. You just need the Iron Boots to sink to the bottom. Likely the Ocarina just unlocked the gate in place of the hookshot.
  11. It's a culture that's been passed down from the 'old days'. There are a lot of strong egos that want to be the top dog, and the natural urge is to fight to eliminate the competition. It's petty, pointless and ultimately achieves nothing. In fact, it causes progress to slow in many cases. Granted, the 'arms race' it provokes can cause great leaps forward, but it does so at the cost of alienating a lot of promising individuals. It's also just plainly nauseating to watch. And with the splits in communities, and even points where mutual annihilation occurs, there are big patches of nothing for months until someone starts scraping the area clean and starts building again. The ideal situation is that everyone leaves their baggage at the door, but for most people that feels too authoritarian and collapses too, or simply doesn't attract any community around it. I've tried forming a community like this before. Cen even tried forming a community that functioned on the basis of all discoveries being the intellectual property of the community as a whole. Neither worked that well. If we can forget old emnities, chalk EVERYTHING up to experience and admit that we all handled things badly, perhaps we can move forward. Discussion doesn't really help, because everyone needs to realise this on their own.
  12. I...did not see that coming o.O It's an honour, and I'll continue to do as I've done Love the updated site, great balance of simplicity and function :3
  13. It's already on my list of purchases :3
  14. Her shoes are oddly detailed, though XD
  15. Me too; it'll be my first actual release in...erm...maybe at least 4 years?
  16. Nice I don't think I've ever seen a dedicated GB debugger
  17. Well, I've started a Super Mario 64 hack as a side project; since it's Mario I can get away with simplicity because it works with the franchise. Simplicity means it'll likely be finished before most of my other works like Shattered Realm; this'll also be the second video that I've ever posted of any of my work. I probably won't be releasing a patch at this stage, but once the first area of the overworld is done along with a couple of stages, I'll be releasing a short beta.
  18. I'm only getting Rayman at launch, so I'm not exactly thrilled with the launch lineup. I might consider pre-ordering Super Monkey Ball too, but I've never really been a big fan of the series.
  19. Nicely done Small note on the model itself: Is it just me, or do the textures on her face look a little...small?

    Well now...

Is it happening on a clean/unpatched ROM? From the look of it, whatever is being loaded is beyond the ability of Nemu's display list interpreter to load. There's also a chance it could be the video plugin you're using. Try using Aristotle's Rice Video plugin.
  21. inthepast, you're not going to get a good response to your question without some screens. Post some up, then people can give their input. The decision of whether to continue should mostly hinge on whether or not you actually want to continue with it, though.
  22. The Jabu-Jabu walls are controlled in the scene, as is the camera effect that is paired to it.
  23. I think the main issue is the difference in detail quality between Link and his surroundings. Having said that, it looks very nice.
