Professional Lurker Returns; Nobody Notices
Airikita replied to Zippy Dippy's topic in Introductions
It's always that the more stable communities have other interests, modding always has its ugly side... But yeah, the main objective is trying to create a co-operative community which is my motive, so I accept even newbies, and yeah there's a lot of kids aspiring to mod too. I started when I was 13 myself, so I get it. Can take some time before you come up with a solid idea, but starting out as the new kid can be awkward, but you learn a lot if you can get some patience. The community gets split, but floats around in different groups until people find a common goal. Modders don't often share info, so getting everything documented is often a pain and difficult. It's only because it'd be too easy for another group to steal credit sadly. It happens, but that is human nature. -
Zelda's Eternal Youth Hack - [MORE UPDATES!!!]
Airikita replied to Airikita's topic in Modifications
Yeah, a bit like that. You can dig for some items, mostly rupees/hearts. I could fix the collectible actor maybe, because the randomizer would end up dropping heart containers, which would be weird... lol This mod only is allowing you to buy items, not find them, so certain actors have had their drops nerfed before I started making ZEY, so I need to fix grass which shouldn't be a problem. -
Oh well, I guess I should post it... I'm back, and not feeling so great this month. But otherwise, I'm working on a new start to my life, and ugh... the dread is a bit rough. Not having the best luck, so I'm working on ZEY again. I'm seeing some old faces still alive, so that's great! Hopefully I can get my energy back soon, because this holiday is becoming a thorn.

Zelda's Eternal Youth Hack - [MORE UPDATES!!!]
Airikita replied to Airikita's topic in Modifications
Hey everyone, just gonna update this mod's info with pics: Currently recovering from a 3-week cold and having a bit of dissociation issues with another existential crisis... but not too bad, just that it's nearly Christmas, and I'm feelin the dread... -
Hey there HeavyZ, I am back too... I've also returned to Zelda64, but right now everyone's talking about the Net Neutrality fiasco. Idk... I'm feeling the dread of working on my project without many to chat to, but we have a small group on Discord, yet it seems everyone wants to make a new group every few weeks. So, idk, right now I have someone helping with maps after being hit with a nasty cold/flu for a month, and just dealing with a lot of crap and existential dread. Otherwise, I'm still working on my project.

Zelda's Eternal Youth Hack - [MORE UPDATES!!!]
Airikita replied to Airikita's topic in Modifications
Hey all, just updating this project again! I'm reviving this topic... I can see Photobucket wants to be a dick, so nothing I can do about it... I added text to display health in percentile range: -
That had to be the most painful death... gallstones are excruciating, so I can't imagine what he must've gone through... He's in peace now, and should be free from that now. Shame that cancer is hitting the top people of the world now... he's also missing on a ground-breaking viral cancer treatment. It is what it is, and like I said, he's in peace now.

I keep Windows 7 because of modding. I don't trust new OS's with their updates, which can potentially make the tools designed obsolete. I intend to hang onto this OS for learning, and skill-building, reasons. -
Yeah... I'll leave ZEY up for download in specific places when I release it. It's nice to have it here, but also nice to have it played by more people too. Of course it is already drawing more attention too... should I be concerned?

This is what I was trying to explain to others. Look @@mzxrules! See what I mean? They will likely go full 64-bit after this and premenantly prevent legacy systems from being used on newer computer models. This is one of the steps for sure... I hope people protest this issue, it's just so bigoted otherwise. However it does leave marketing issues up to the manufacturers, so then it will be up to public census. There could always be an uprising of fresh computers made to run older systems too, this may not negate Linux distros at all but cause a new line of computers to make for free use. -
I think I would leave the cutscene skip in my mod, but only if I'm able to show a "skip" button icon with the start button somewhere. I mean, Twilight Princess allows cutscene skips, so why not? I can see some having a problem sitting through some cutscenes if they're trying to speedrun it. Also, this is something I don't think 1.0, 1.1, or 1.2 has does it? Hmmm...

I'm impatient, so I'll keep my copy for now. :3

Really? I found a notch I could squeeze into. I just did it lightly. You can just make the hole smaller, or make boulders bigger.
-
I made that mistake with the d-pad, and assumed I found a new glitch... then when I figured out what I did trying to replicate it, I was like "oh... I'm an idiot." :x lol I softlocked at the owl when climbing some vines, so OF COURSE I thought it was just some weird bug I found. =================================================== Whoops, can't stay away from my glitch habits: ----------------------------------------------------------- Sowwy. :x
-
If you're using cloudmax's patch tool, his shows it in a txt file... dunno about ppfs as they're encrypted and compressed (I think).
-
Nope, but I use the Corona fix, so that might be it. I have the settings to simulate hardware. Glide64 is highly accurate with proper settings. Heck, it's so accurate it's shown imbalanced colors I never notice on emulator, but usually by testing on console. It's not 100% accurate, so I can't give it that, but it's on-the-money otherwise.
-
I'm using Glide64, and I barely noticed.

"You have found the Riddle of Time Temple" text is in the Deku Tree. I'm guessing you're going to fix that later, right? Yeah, idk about the Kokiri Sword, but it's a bit blurry to me. Did you replace it? Because it looks different.
-
Suggestions: ------------------- Textures are blurry, and the tunic texture looks a bit weird/gross (also, why is the Kokiri Sword icon blurry? I'm confused) you should have booby-trapped Mido's house, it was too easy to get rupees. I was expecting being frozen, lol. :x The Deku Shield text is badly spaced, and too much spaces used after part of it... you could look here for tips: http://wiki.cloudmodding.com/oot/Text_Format You can improve that Deku Shield text with adding the icon. Just look over the text in-game, it looks terrible. :x

No no, no need... it works now. Just a silly problem with Chrome's caching.
-
I'm wondering if they blocked my IP... I do have an account on there. ========================================== EDIT: -------- False alarm, just needed to reset chrome... I visited Mediafire during maintenance one day, and Chrome has a known issue with caching sometimes... I guess it didn't reset because the cache was stuck. It works now.
-
Ah crap, MediaFire has been down lately for me... anyone else having this issue?
-
Dunno, maybe if we hack their database we'll find documentation for the Oculus Rift on that. :3

lol, this looks like an interesting concept. I like your use of style and color. It is amusing to see Toad abducted by aliens, because Mario is too busy trying to tap Peach's ass it's likely anything can happen Toad, lol.
