I like it, it's more lively that way for sure.

A Big WTF - Monsterous Unmodified Stalchild?!?
Airikita replied to Airikita's topic in Modifications
I think I have a theory about this phenomenon... I think the Stalchildren are trying to use a spot where Epona's position is stored, so it reads the size according to her position. The closer I am to the entrance to Lake Hylia, they get so enormous they glitch out and you can't see them. I had one flickering past the fork where peahats and bushes were. Its hand was 4x the size of Epona. -
Looks like the silver is missing. If you want to resize it, you might have to be careful because of the light effect when you get the ice or fire from Twinrova, but idk how that would work out... I'm sure there's something... It looks pretty badass while it's big like that, Link looks like a bawss.

Zelda's Eternal Youth Hack - [MORE UPDATES!!!]
Airikita replied to Airikita's topic in Modifications
New extra feature added to ZEY, still need to fix things before I move it to ZEY: It has some bugs, but I don't think that can be helped. It still works, and there's ways around the flaws when you play. I might fix how it works later on. This is for ZEY only. EDIT: Note: next ZEY modification will include something with Cuccos and a mirror to warp Link to the Dark World (after Epona is working 100%). Epona still does not work when "escaping" Lon Lon Ranch over the fences, it gets stuck in the wrong cutscene. This is likely due to a condition checking Link's age. -
Breakpoints in Nemu's Command Debugger.

When Link gets hit, there's a check at these points: 803D82C0 803D8210 803D8130

I found this one recently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmobkT8IuxM There's not too many BLR songs... there's more, but this will be the last one. Should check out the channel, might be more. There's a BLR song with Barack Obama somewhere.

A Big WTF - Monsterous Unmodified Stalchild?!?
Airikita replied to Airikita's topic in Modifications
It could be related... I tested it again, and another massive Stalchild appeared, but it wasn't as humongous as the one I showed here, but it was still rather large compared to normal... I think it was using Epona's size value as a value for its variable (changed/calculated to be a variable that is). -
That's good information, but couldn't you lower the volume of the whirlpool? I'm sure there's a way... maybe by editing the sound itself, or something else.

A bunch of us are looking forward to CEN64 as it's tailored mimic the N64 console in almost every way possible.

I say the less we keep to ourselves, the more our community can flourish making mods without feeling frustrated because we can't do it all, which is why I'm going to publicly release my young Epona patch for people to use, along with the notes. I don't expect people to do what I do.

Zelda's Eternal Youth Hack - [MORE UPDATES!!!]
Airikita replied to Airikita's topic in Modifications
Finally, and I thank â–²ChriisTiianâ–² and Jazz for bringing me the Majora's Mask Epona so I can transfer her animations: Obviously I have some kinks to work out, but it looks like I've done the overall challenge of riding young Epona. :3 -
For some reason that only works when I dismount Epona... EDIT: 803ED57C works though, so that's fine.

Sounds beautiful, too bad I don't understand it... And on the topic of German, this ironic video came up on Youtube right after I read this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjaZNYSt7o0 There's a mention of "Ukraine" in there, so, lol! (Just ironic, the voice on that man you showed is amazing)

What could/should/would Nintendo do to save themselves?
Airikita replied to I M Evil's topic in General Gaming
This... some realism and violence doesn't hurt, but they're making Link toonier instead of more realistic. Sure there's more detail in the Wii U, but they failed to make the field look like grass, and Link's chainmail metalic, and tunic have a leather feel to it... They did it for TP, then they started to go for the brighter cell-shaded ways because it's just easier to do so, so they could be lazier with the textures. If you think that's for performance reasons, think again... cell shading uses so much lighting, it uses more effects than realistic lighting. They might need more shaders, but those just act as a layer to a texture, no extra polygons. They may not even need to overkill shaders if they find a way to use less of them for multiple actor models. I will say I am a huge fan of Skyward Sword, and I love the style, but it could have had better detail than the sparse amount of grass here and there... They are just lazy with making games to save time while other developers work harder on details and cinematics to appeal to what people want in a game. With the games Nintendo makes, they can sell a bunch of their portable console games, and work more on the home consoles. They rushed Wii, then stopped it for the Wii U. They're losing out because people can't afford a Wii U, but also because their Wii U games aren't offering much come-uppance in visuals, and it's really stupid to make a Wii U with a better processor, etc, when they could have made an attachment for the Wii, or just sold better Wiis that could still play GCN games!!! RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
There is a dark theme, just click "Change Theme" at the bottom of the page.

Thanks, that should be helpful. btw, you wouldn't happen to know where Link activates climbing onto Epona would you?

Some functions that were found within Debug in RAM, should be looked into further: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JAL 0x800C04D8 controls the camera (boss cutscene). 0C03DCE3 - JAL 0x800F738C plays sounds (sfx) For the SFX function, it goes further back to actors that use it with their own values. Link's voice when whipping Epona was 6822 in his code. I haven't played with the value any further than changing it to kid Link's voice.

A blue-to-purple gradient would work tbh, I think the purple would waken people's minds and moods up. I guess a full purple color with a grey-blue tint would do too... something with some color in it. I find The Twilight Network is the lightest theme, but it makes me sleepy sometimes.

Why not a blue/purple scheme... this dark blue theme makes me sleepy after a while.

Zelda's Eternal Youth Hack - [MORE UPDATES!!!]
Airikita replied to Airikita's topic in Modifications
PROGRESS: She's a big girl too! No worries, that can be fixed with her size value. No worries about the misplaced seating for Link, it's obvious that Link needs that box from adult Epona to sit in the right spot. EDIT: Apparently the seating is based on the saddle... Since Epona's leg takes that spot, Link gets glued to Epona's leg. I will have to fix what limb Link sits on... if anyone has some insight, or notes on Link mounting Epona, any info would help. -
Hey guys, Some of you know I'm working on Epona, and her child form has missing animations from her .zobj file (not surprising really), so... if anyone knows how to find where Epona's AI is in MM and her model, that would be cool. If you send her files, just label them as MM_Epona_ai and MM_Epona_obj for the files... that could help if I just have the two files, that way I can work on her. I need to hack her into clocktown to ride her though, for testing which animations are which. I'm pretty sure OoT child Epona is a match to MM's Epona, so that would make this easier than fiddling around with the values in Epona's animations. I could convert Adult Epona's animations to match child Epona's, but that would take hours, or even days to do.

I found some good songs made from bad lip reading of celebrity music videos... here's my two favourite ones: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcQfiYUXrtI and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUcszN8jRB8 Just pure awesomeness in its own hilarity. X3

Zelda's Eternal Youth Hack - [MORE UPDATES!!!]

Searching for child Epona's animations compared to adult Epona has produced humorous results: -
Except Game Dev you work from scratch and can easily learn the code, and do what you want easier... hacking is what exists, and you attempt to make it do what you want if any success comes of it. Don't let that put you down though, Kargaroc is correct in the sense that both mediums take brainstorming, and a lot of work. Although you could probably make a quick 2D game faster than hacking, but this is a mental sport which tests your patience and skills. I trust people in this community have the skills to do something, and we can each learn or fail from the experience. Some hackers go off butthurt because they never complete their mods, but it's the things you create or do along the way that should be a token of your achievements.
